Should’ve delayed oath taking until family in the US. The only other thing to do now is file I-130 and see if USCIS and NVC will expedite it.
Thank you for the reply, i had tried 2 times before and was refused, this time if i had known that they accepted my expedite request i would have delayed my oath unfortunately i got the request approved email day after my oath ceremony. If i had delayed my citizenship interview i would have delayed my n400 next interview until God knows when due to backlog of n400 applications. My bad luck that the acceptance email came 24 hrs late.
Thank you once again.

Hello,
So in October i submit an expedite request to NVC regarding my case. I am the petitioner and my wife is the beneficiary, in October we had our first child and last year when there was greencard ban i also applied for citizenship. I knew after the birth of my child that my citizenship interview in around the corner. So, yesterday i became a citizen and was planning to change my wife's petition and apply for a new i130 for my child but this morning i got an email from nvc that my expedite request is accepted and my case is transferring to the local consulate.
My question is what should i do now? Should i let the embassy give me a interview date and then explain them what happen or should i do something else.
Any help will be highly appreciated.
Thank you

Hello all,
Just curious if any N400 applicants from Baltimore waiting for their biometrics? I submit my N400 in July and saw the timeline that no biometrics appointment have been scheduled since March 2020. If anyone have any update please share.
Thank you

Amazing, yes it has been a long long journey and not over yet. People from China get IL currently, means the Chinese Embassy has given information to NVC. Thus, anyone from China should call NVC there is a good chance. Till now we have 3 weeks confirmed movement by Chinese Embassy. Let`s hope for one more week and "our journey" would get his interview
Are you sure about the IL from China Michael? On Facebook people are saying it might be fake post because nobody else got any update regarding their case around the same dates. What you think?

They start scheduling the last Thursday of the month. There is a fb group called "case closed information" and people have been posting that they've called and received interview dates over the phone. https://www.facebook.com/groups/2003297933268518/
Did you got any other update regarding Dec IL? Please respond.

It doesn't matter about the past. What matters is that in the 24-month period from January 2018 to December 2019 you will have spent only 4 months at most in the USA, by your own admission. Good luck convincing CBP upon return that you are maintaining residency.
So what you will recommend? Stay in the US for rest of this year or should i just cancel going to India and forget about utilizing re-entry permit?
Thanks once again!

Because you are not spending the majority of your time in the US. We are barely into the 8th month of the year and you have already been out of the country for at least 5 months and now you're planning 15 months out of the country. Do you have a job here?
A green card is for residence in the USA. As such, you are expected to spend the majority of your time here. Not in India with occasional trips to the USA.
I have been living in the US since 2006 and never made such a long stay outside the US. My job is remote, so it's not a issue.

Didn't you already spend several months in India earlier this year?
you are at serious risk risk of losing your LPR status.
I was there for 5 months, that's why i am applying for re-entry because i need to be there for another long stay. Can you please educate me how i am at the serious risk of losing LPR status?
Thanks for your response!

Hello,
I am plannig to stay outside the US for 15 months due to some family issues and as suggested by someone i know i applied for Re-entry permit last month. I am going for my Biometrics next week; therefore, i have few questions:
1. Is it true having a re-entry permit doesn't guarantee a LPR to stay outside the US for more than 6 months? Immigration lawyer told me it's better to come before 6 months???
2. I asked the USCIS to send the permit to my address in the US but now i am planning to leave the US after my Biometrics. (I asked one of my family member who is coming to my home country beginning next year to bring along my permit) is that ok.
3. What is the time period to get the Re-entry permit after Biometrics?
4. Any other details regarding my situation will be highly appreciated.
Thank you

I failed to apply for Selective Services (i was not aware of this) when i was between the age of 18-26 now i am 31 years old and applied for my wife petition F2A category. I just want to know will failing to apply for Selective Services going to create problem for my wife petition? I am greencard holder and never knew about applying for Selective Services between a particular age. I kept a clean record and never had any issues with my taxes.

Visa Bulletin for Sept 2018 is out, no changes for F2A category. Sad 😞

I forgot. where can I check that?
Hmm, you didn't receive your re-entry permit yet? If you want to check which center it went to then you either call USCIS or sign up at USCIS website to track your case. Or you can check on the first letter they sent you.
Which date did you went for your Biometrics?

No, they should just abolish it for everyone instead
Absolutely, we are living in a different times now. They should consider abolishing it for sure.
