Hello everyone,

I registered mail through USPS my spouse's I-130 form with required documents and bank check on monday and was notified on Wednesday that the mail was delivered to Chicago USCIS address. Please educate me how long does it take for USCIS to process the check which i sent and also when i will be given a case # to track my case.

Any other information regarding my situation will be highly appreciated.

I am organizing my I-130 form and was wondering if it's ok to send my own personal check as a payment for the processing fee or do i need to send certified bank check/money order?

Hello everyone,

I was filling I-130 form online and was wondering if i need to write N/A for fields which don't need to be filled. I was told to write N/A or not applicable when the form is hand written but was not sure what to do when the person is filling the form online. Any other information regarding this question will be highly appreciated.

When you mail things in the states they don't verify who you are, anyone can mail anything, they even have self service machines where you don't even interact with a person.

You are right, i just was little confused about the shipment process. Things are more clear now, i really appreciate your response!

I am going to India for my wedding and planning to file my i-130 form right away after the marriage. I might stay in India for few months and was thinking of sending my i-130 forms with my brother who will be heading back to the US in few days after the wedding. Is it fine if my brother FedEx the docs (including the fee) when he reach here or do i need to be physically present in the US to ship/send i-130 documents?

Any other information regarding shipping the docs will be highly appreciated.
