He picked up at DHL. Once he was approved they gave instructions (bad instructions) on going on to the ustraveldocs site, selecting which DHL rpick up and printing the form you need to pick up passport w/visa.
How long did it take to get the visa from DHL once ceac said issued?

@toyalow My fiancé had his interview on 1/6. He was approved. Received passport with visa 1/18.
Did he pick it up at DHL or at the embassy?

That is even more crazy and the riots I know. I just get upset seeing their doing interviews for k1 and not cr/it. I would really like to know what is the difference they both go inside and interview smh
It might be the other way around. Are fiancé visas considered immediate relatives?

It wasn’t refused. It was given at the interview.

They are doing interviews for spouse visas. That’s what we are.

Maybe...maybe not. All cases go through a form of administrative processing AFTER the interview. Some cases and consulates take longer than others.
Okay, they said they would contact in 1-2 weeks at the interview

Not yet, if they kept his passport.
The interview was on January 5th. Shouldn’t this be changing soon to issued? Should the embassy be contacted to find out if everything is okay?

Yes, they kept his passport

Our case is CR1. DQ August 12, 2020 nothing as of yet. Haiti embassy is the worst. The fact that there are couples/families and/or individuals waiting since 2018-current says a lot about the folks working there and the country itself. It's appalling! Its like pulling tooth to get things going in the embassy in Haiti.
Yes, we were one of those! The embassy in PAP is a good patience tester!

IR1/2 now and dang since May 2019 that is crazy wow and i feel some type of way about being DQ'ed in Oct 2020 they always so someone has it worst. i am so sorry and they didn't say why i mean that's way before covid and lock downs. i pray for us all and im not a hater but i feel some type of way when k1's previous or recent especially new CR/IR just filed the same year and dq'd the same year. Here i wait I hope things change i don't speak politics and really don't nothing about it only i know it's time for a change on both ends
Just had the interview and was DQ fall 2018. Haiti 🇭🇹 has had problems with riots etc. slowing things down before covid

Probably Because final processing is being completed. "Refused" is a generic term meaning not issued yet.
The last status change was the day of his interview. This still isn’t anything to be concerned about?

Why does ceac say refused when at the interview a green paper saying congratulations was given and instructions were given on how to pick up the visa packet? It’s very confusing

Has anyone gotten an interview yet?? Or an update on your case?? When I call I keep getting the embassy in the U.S because I can't speak creole! And all they say is, well we don't know anything about Haiti but expect to hear something real soon! 🤦🏾♀️ I'm just sick of this process already!! Oh and all my paperwork was approved for NVC in June 2020.
My husband just interviewed and his NVC case complete was the fall of 2018. Haiti has had a lot of issues with the embassy closing because of riots etc. and then covid happened.

Okay. What document did they ask for that you didn't have? What questions did they ask?

Hi guys, did you send your birth certificate or extrait des archives when applying for AOS? I sent extrait archives they sent me an RFE today I don't know if it's because I didn't send the actual birth certificate made in Les Cayes where I was born but I used the one made in Port au Prince called extrait des archives for all my K1 steps .

I don't know if anyone else realized, but Haiti is finally off the Do Not Travel advisory. Hopefully that means they'll be back functioning as normal. It also does not say they are only processing emergency immigrant visas on the us travel docs. Hopefully it stays like that for some time.
That's good news

YMMV but "normally" the NVC sets the interview for a case. In an expedite the beneficiary goes online to the select an appointment after the NVC completes their portion. That is harder than it seems as you are looking at cancellations of other appointment to fill your date. We had the same issue in our DCF which skips the NVC.
.
Okay. I understand what you’re saying now.
