  1. Indeed, I used YouTube, I would play the 100 questions videos for at least an hour a day and whenever I had some downtime I would use the USCIS app as a refresher.
  2. Today marks the culmination of my journey, I received both my passport book and card. Tomorrow, I’ll be using the card to cross into Canada, and next week the book gets its first stamp (if they still stamp passports) in Europe. Congratulations to all the newly sworn in citizens! And to those still waiting for your interview or naturalization ceremony.... hang in there, you’re almost at the finish line. I really appreciate all the advice and encouragement along the way. Couldn’t have done it without this community. I am forever grateful.
  3. About travel, he only asked for confirmation of my last trip (he already had the dates) and whether I had ever been out of the country for more than six months. About GMC: he asked about my tickets and whether I owed any taxes.
  4. So now I’ve finally settled down and have time to write more. My appointment was at 0715. I arrived at the FO around 0700, and check-in took about 6–7 minutes. Then the waiting began. After what seemed like forever, my number was called (around 08:00). The officer was very professional and courteous. After we exchanged pleasantries, he showed me to his office and pointed to the chair where I was going to sit. We immediately started with the civics questions: What was the war between the North and the South? How many amendments are in the Constitution? Who did America fight during World War II? Who was the president during the Great Depression and World War II? What are the two major political parties in the United States? What is the capital of your state? Who was George Washington? For reading, he directed me to read the sentence: Who was George Washington? For writing, I wrote: Washington was the first president. We went over the application with the usual question about name, date of birth, current address, and employment. Then we moved on to the eligibility questions. Most of my answers were No, but some had to be changed to Yes due to my employment in law enforcement. Several years ago, I was also detained/cited for traffic-related issues; he asked for explanations and the outcomes of those incidents (fines were paid). After a lot of typing, he gave me the printout and said he would recommend me for approval. He also notified me that the next oath ceremony would be in 30 minutes. Everything took exactly two hours from checking in, to taking the oath, to walking out of the building with my certificate in hand.
  5. Just completed my interview, awaiting the oath ceremony.
  6. I was kind of in the same predicament. Filed my taxes back in April, then by the end of June I got a letter/statement with how much I owed. I set up a payment plan, but the first payment didn’t actually go through until August. With my interview coming up, I didn’t want to risk it, so I just knocked out the balance in three payments and got it over with.
  7. In Seattle it is located inside the USCIS Field Office, but staffed entirely contractors with one or two DHS staffer.
  8. Yes, you can use Global Entry to enter the U.S. on foot. At the southern border, they will let you use the SENTRY pedestrian lane. However, they check for the physical Global Entry/Nexus card at the first checkpoint prior to getting to the PoE.
  9. 03/31/2025 — Application filed online (N-400) 03/31/2025 — Biometrics reused (no appointment needed) 07/29/2025 — Interview scheduled for 09/04 (email and status update received) Field Office — Seattle Five year Rule.
  10. My status tab fluctuated from 7 months, to 3 months and then in May it went to 4 months and today it changed to 5 months.
  11. I have a feeling a lot of March filers will start getting interview notifications this week. My JSON file had a countdown, and it hit zero on Sunday, today at around 5PM, I got an email saying my interview has been scheduled. I’ll check my USCIS account once I get home for the date.
  12. I applied on 03/31. Would be great to get an interview sooner, but quite frankly I don’t expect to hear anything until at least October. The only downside is I’ve got a trip planned for early October, taking my kid to Europe and Dubai so I’m hoping the timing doesn’t clash. Fingers crossed we both get some good news soon. And congrats to everyone who’s already completed their interviews and oaths or has their oath coming up.
  13. Congratulations!!! Seattle is my FO as well.
  14. Seemingly so, I just checked the JSON text and it shows there was an update on 06/29/2025 (My GC anniversary), last update was in May. 15. So today I got a bit curious and decided to check the API status for my case. Here’s what came up: "Interview scheduled" "milestone": 49 "milestone_days_remaining": 21 "ordered_display_text" Has anyone else seen something similar? How long after this status did you actually get your letter or notification? Just trying to get a sense of the timeline from here. Appreciate any insight. NB, I filed under 5 year rule, my GC anniversary is 06/29 I read somewhere in this forum that most interviews are usually set after your anniversary, anyway, to all those who have interviews in the coming days and weeks wishing you all the best and good luck.
