So my NOA2 date is May 8 and I've been calling NVC almost everyday but today I got impatient and decided to call USCIS call center to see if my case had been forwarded to NVC yet. The answer I got back was kind've surprising and I'm wondering if any of you experienced the same. The customer service rep said 'We have no record of it being sent to NVC yet but it takes our system 90 days to update' (Sounds like bullshit) and he said 'If you don't hear from NVC within 90 days, to call USCIS and they can investigate'

You really should update your timeline. When did you get your case number?

OK here is part of what happened at my fiancées interview in Manilla.  my fiancée had her interview Monday morning and she was never asked to give the Affidavit of support. only nso,,cenomar, and nbi. neither the Pilipino counselor or the American CO asked her about my income or job or the Affidavit OS and supporting documents? the interview went well, they kept her passport and just said "thank you you're finished" she was given a paper as she left with info to register her address for delivery. I'm confused why they never asked for AOS?? Would like to hear comments about this.

Why would you need a AOS at an interview? That should only be needed once your fiance is in the country and you guys are married.

Well, NVC still hasn't received our case yet.  Kinda thought it would be there last week but I think the holiday slowed things down a little.  Oh well, maybe tomorrow!

Same here. Starting to get frustrating. We received our NOA2 on the 15th so 1 day after you and still nothing. Tomorrow is day 21 since we received the NOA2.

Hi guys, I know it’s not related to this thread but I need some info to book my interview! We had lawyers set up the ds160 and they have given us the account to log into but I need to verify it and the K1 visa isn’t an option to choose so I can’t verify it meaning I can’t book the interview! Has anyone else had this issue?! I’m from London in England

Talk to your attorney. When I peeped the DS-160 forms today it asks what kind of VISA it is when setting up the account so it's likely already done and you just need to go through the motions to get to the end where you can schedule. But again, talk to your attorney.

I called the NVC for the 2nd time today, it arrived there on the 14th. And is now being processed electronically, and it’s in their system. Still saying 8 weeks for a case number but it’s just spiel. The 1st lady I talked to was incredibly rude, but today I talked to Gus, who was so polite and helpful. He told me to continue checking my email and to check the NVC often. (He also said 8 weeks but he has to say that) So I’m going to call back every day and hopefully get the case number soon!

I just got my NOA2 yesterday. What can I check in the meantime to see if it arrives at the NVC office, or do I just start calling 2 weeks after the NOA2 to get status updates?

  6. I have to gripe for a second. This whole system is f'ed up. I am so so so sick of this waiting nonsense. Seeing people in November get approved when I filed in September and I don't have squat... sent a RFE over 2 weeks ago for information I already provided when I originally filed, and I am just twiddling my thumbs now and haven't seen my fiance in 7 months. Can't visit because I don't have the time or PTO set aside, let-alone the money... and it's just a terrible feeling. There HAS to be some sort of reworking of this system. It's only fair that not a single person from another month be approved until one month is completely finished, whether they received a RFE or not. The structuring of this whole system is wrong and I find it impossible to believe that it could take THIS long for anything at all to happen. In the age of information and computers... no amount of "paperwork" should take this long to process. Haven't even gotten NOA2, then another month to wait to get NVC number, and then another month to wait for an interview date. I am at wit's end and am about to just quit my job and move abroad to where she is until this is done.

See you guys when I get my NOA2... staying off here until then.

Letter they sent.Till now app, old and new site still say received. Letter arrived 5/4 and approval said 4/27. Our RFE reply was received 4/18

Wow. Ok. I hope I hear something soon. I just called USCIS and they said my RFE is currently with a agent and I should hear something within a couple days. But honestly they probably say that to everybody right?

They jst want us to check Yes or No if my fiance has been convicted of any crime. They said we missed answering that portion. We already filled that out in our original application (we have a duplicate copy) but for some reason they needed to reach their RFE quota for the day.

So frustrating! I sent my RFE back 16 days ago and they asked us to send proof that we had met within the last 2 years which we had sent plenty of proof when we first filed. Looks like you got your NOA2 pretty fast after the RFE received. I am hoping we hear something soon!

Normally k1 rfes resolve within a month rarely goes up to 60. But 14 days is really considered normal. It also depends the rfe. What was yours about?

    For example:

If it was just forgetting to answer a question on form it resolves rather quickly depending on the question (1-2 weeks)

if its relationship proof and +, it may take a little bit longer as they need to make a decision based on that.

All they wanted was proof we'd met within the last 2 years which was weird because we sent proof when we initially filed. But for the RFE we sent back more dated pictures, airline tickets, and passport stamps.

I don’t know if you asked because you are going to. But, Don’t do an inquiry. You’re really really close. (and probably they wouldn’t let you cause after rfe you need to give 60 days for one)

I already submitted a inquiry online. Was that a bad move? It said to expect a response by the end of the month, but I just figured the worst that could happen is they tell me it's being worked on.

quick question, probably been asked before - what the response time for a RFE

Seems to be about 2-4 weeks although some people have gotten a response in 7-14 days. I am awaiting the answer to my RFE as well. It was received last Thursday.

The official estimate right now is up to 60 days but very few people are and/or have waited that long for a NOA2 post RFE
