Received an email today with a tracking number that says it should arrive in 2 business days; the tracking number doesn't actually work yet, but I think it may take up to 24 hours for it to get into the correio system. so hopefully we'll have it in-hand Monday or Tuesday!! will aim to fly out Friday next week....

on a separate note, have any of you Brazilians done a declaração de saida and tried to change your bank account to a conta não residente?  what a pain! not having much success with the banks. may end up closing our accounts here.

What I read about: It is just so difficult and burocratic that people usually dont do declaraçao de saida. I personally don't know any brazilian with immigration visa that did it. I will ask people that I know, if I got some useful info I will let u know.

Thanks for keeping us update! ;)

Oi pessoal! Hoje eu tive minha entrevista no consulado do brasil! Graças a deus tudo deu certo. E deu tudo certo obrigada deus.

Parabeeeéns! É ótimo ver casos sendo aprovados, dá esperança.

    Boa sorte nos EUA :jest:

Interview in Rio has been scheduled for August 27! Scheduling was a bit weird because it was first forwarded to the consulate and then scheduled by them (not NVC) at the consulate's request, as there were August appointments open still and my cc was almost a month ago. I assume the September Brazil CR1/IR1 interviews will be scheduled very soon now by NVC. Good luck!

    Goooood Luck!!!!! :D :D :D

  6. Hey guys,

I called the NVC again and the lady said that I am still on the waiting list for September. I am starting to worry, because usually the interviews for my embassy are on the first week of the month. Tomorrow will gonna be the September 8th.

Has someone got another answer when calling about an interview? (This questions is for everybody waiting for a date, regardless of country)

Definitely don't lose hope, and remember that being notified later about the interview doesn't mean that you will have the interview or visa any later--because the other people who are waiting for interviews before you have also not gotten their September dates yet. I also have some good news for you. I was told that some cases approved at the beginning of the line have already been sent to Rio since they still had some August slots open (I guess the consulate itself needs to schedule those ones since the interview is so soon). Your cc date was probably not early enough for that because you would have been notified that your case had been sent to the consulate, but I bet it means that 1) your interview will very very likely be in September and 2) your interview might be earlier in the month than you would expect because some of the people in line before you will interview in August. Hang in there! We're all in this together.

    OMG! Excellent News

You renew my hope! Thanks a lot 😄

You're not being childish, not at all. Some handle things better than others, i will say somedays I'm okay then other days feeling sad completely takes over.

Things like this test every emotion possible, but stay strong, and focused eventually this will all end and we'll be reunited with our loved one.

Thanks so much! You are right, at least we can see the light on the end of the tunnel. How you said, in the end we will think we made it through. One year of pain and a life of love. May God bless us all on the end of this journey ❤️

Cheer up! Unfortunately it does weigh heavy on a person, but in the end we're all going to sit back and look at this process and think "wow" we made it through.

Its absolutely hard but you've got this.

Thanks a lot! I have tear on my eyes.

I know that I am being childish, but it just a lot of time to be reunatied with my love. He is also sad because I will not be with him on his birthday again. So, I did not want to bother him with more sad feelings.

  10. I just need to vent 😭

Today I complete exaclty one year of this process. I feel that i cant take anymore. I have the felling that I will be stuck forever in this nightmare.

I was so hopefull that I would have an my interview date by the end of this week. Unfortunately I called NVC today and got the same standard answer: I am on the waiting list for September. :(

Sometimes I feel that I am stuck, i am so tired. Am I the only one felling stuck?

    Please guys, cheer me up!

@Pamela.J and @lindinhos96, any news? I just called NVC and the told the same and old thing: they can schedulle intervews anytime, we're in line.

No :( I just called and they told me the same: "There isnt an interview date schedule yet. I am so sad because I hoped that we would receive the letter by Friday. Now, I think just next week. This is so unfair. It problably cost nothing to the RJ Embassy contact them this week. Problably just Tuesday 7th we will receive the letter 😭

I'm waiting for RDJ too... lets pray... my cc date is July 2nd I'm under EB1 visa... Do you know something about ask for expedito interview? I'll lose a fantástica job opportunity if I can't say yes to them until September 1st...

Hey, I know that after you received your interview date, if you have a good justificative, you can email the embassy asking for an early date. The email is on their website.

I know one couple that got their date changed but it was expedite for medical reasons. Anyway, you can try it, if they say no you dont loose aything. Good Luck! :D
