Yes! Thanks for remembering. I attended my ceremony yesterday and with that I am happy to share that my immigration journey is officially done now! Such a long journey, with lot of ups and downs.

Just came back from post office submitting my passport application and looking forward to receiving it. Wish all the people who are still waiting best of luck!

Also, in my interview latter, it does not say anything about i751. Should i just assume that it will be a combo interview since my 10 years green card is not approved yet. 

With a high confidence, I would say the chance of having a same-day oath ceremony is close to zero. I had my interview scheduled for 1:30, was called in around 2:15. In order to make the cut, you really have to interview early morning.

It is so unfortunate how backed up Seattle office is. My interview was in Jan. My ceremony is scheduled for March 4th.

The notice says that they have completed a preliminary review of the application. As part of standard process, they are transferring to Nebraska Service Center that has jurisdiction over this case. And they will inform us when they make a decision or if they need additional information.

hi everyone

today we received a notice in mail that my wife's case has been transferred to Nebraska's center. Do you know if this is normal and how long more it can take?

We filed in 01/18 2018 and she only applied for I-751.

Hi everyone,

My wife filed her I-751 in Jan 2018 and so far she has received two extension letters. We are trying to get a sense of when she can expect the process to complete. We live in Seattle, and believe her processing center is California (her Receipt number is WAC###). 

Looked at the most recent conversations here, but they all seem to be for people with N-400s as well. Can you give us some insight on what timeline we should expect?

AFAKI all three answers are valid. You just need to say one. My own interview experience confirmed it. 

Folks - My Account status has been on 'We scheduled your naturalization ceremony' since 29th morning. But the Notice has not been uploaded. I really wish to know what time/date I am scheduled for. Any ideas for how I can find out? As anyone else experienced such a long delay between a status change and when the scan of document shows up? it has always been within few hours for me, hence frustration. I have already called the customer support center and they said they cannot see the date.

That's true.

Additionally if you are planning to use the booklet they distribute at the USCIS offices, you only need to read the short answers. The booklet has additional text/paragraphs for each question to provide more context/background. You don't need to prepare for those, only short answers. Yesterday, I met a poor fella who had been studying the entire booklet. The booklet was colored with all sorts of highlights. 😂

oh, that's so early! I think you are definitely going to make it. If not for 10:30, definitely for the afternoon one.

I am pretty bummed too about that. A same day oath is not guaranteed in any way. There is indeed a second oath ceremony at 2:00, 2:30-ish every day. But I (and many others) didn't make it since we were called in for interview only after 2:00 and too late to make it. If you get a morning time, there is more chance for you to make the cut.

As for the question, I told my officer that I am hoping to take a business trip at the end of February. He said if will try to schedule my ceremony sooner, but no promises.

Hello everyone,

I wanted to share my interview experience today. Please note that the front desk people cannot check you in more than 30 minutes to your scheduled interview appointment. For example, mine was at 1:30 and they checked me in at 1:00. I was told to go to the second floor and wait for my number to be called. Our numbers had a P-XX format. One interesting observation was the floor was packed with people waiting for their interview or oath ceremony! So, no wonder long wait times in Seattle.

After 1:20 minutes, an officer called my number and asked me to follow him to his office. He asked me to sit down to verify my identity first. He asked for my passport and green card. Took a picture and finger prints. Then he asked me to stand up and put me under oath. He started my interview with the civics test, and then used a tablet for reading and writing portions, which was super easy. Then he went through my application, asking about names, marital status, current and previous address, and any recent trips. Then we went through the long yes/no questions part.

At the end he congratulated me and said he will recommend me for approval. He asked if I have any international trips planned for new future and he said he will try to set my oath ceremony as early as possible. My online status has changed a number of times since the interview. currently it shows approved and an oath ceremony is being scheduled. There is a completion timeline, which currently says May 2019. I hope it is wrong

Correct. US does in fact recognize dual citizenship. You are not expected to abandon your original citizenship, unless Vietnam asks you to. For example, I have heard India does not recognize dual citizenship.

Same here. If they don't do anything to address long lines of people waiting at major offices, the wait time will inevitably grow. And with the current climate, I doubt they do! My wife still has two more years to become eligible for naturalization. I am worried that by then, we may look at 2-3 years wait times, which is really depressing.

Any intel on oath ceremony days in Seattle office? days, hours? I am wondering if I have any chance for a same day oath ceremony, assuming everything goes well with the interview.
