Some more information about this process. I just entered our case number into our My USCIS profile. It does in fact state they received our Form I-751 on Nov 17th. It also states that if we don't receive the receipt notice by Dec 17th in the mail contact the USCIS contact center. The agent on the phone  today also stated that since we didn't receive it yet I should request another form to be mailed. Judging from whats been happening im sure its safe to assume they were a little off with the Dec 17th date and we should be receiving the receipt ( paper form ) in the mail from USPS within the next week or so. Thoughts on this? Thanks everyone. I hope this also helps if some people come across these issues along their own timeline.

    They are definitely off
That's the normal language. under NORMAL circumstances, shouldn't take a month for NOA to come by
But we all know that's a lie these days. lol

I mean folks aren't even getting checks cashed prior to 30 days!
Don't read into it. Just take it when u get it

Does anyone know how to renew a driving license if it expires the same day as my gc? :( 22nd of january is the expiry for both cards. My package was mailed 11/30 and it was only delivered 12/26! Usps backlog was horrific! Louisiana only gave me a 2yr driving license that expires the same day as the gc. I cannot imagine hearing anything before my expiry date. Ive heard passport stamps or something??🤔

That’s the issue some folks run into.

unfortunately, u cannot renew license until you receive your NOA, which extends your green card.

the key is that USCIS has to have your case in the system for proof that you filed it first before anything can really be done and with a December date, you’re very far off from someone reaching your case.

am not even sure an info pass or congressman can help right now since your case just got there and no one is even looking at December folks?

So sorry for the month delay!!

please keep us posted if u hear/try anything successful.

Hey guys. My package was delivered on 11/19 still haven't heard anything, called them a couple days ago and nothing in the system yet.  Is there anyone else here whos package was delivered on 11/16 through 11/20 and haven't got any update?

Nothing for us and delivered on 11/16. I am hoping this week. If nothing by Wednesday of next week, we will give them a call since we're nearing 60 days.

    Y'all are not alone
Am looking at our spreadsheet and it appears Lots of other filers with your dates are waiting.

I recall someone in the past say USCIS tends to "skip around" like an entire week of files (i.e. those that files 11/16 to 11/20 would hear at different times. 11/20 might hear before an 11/16 folk)  but gets to everybody eventually.

Don't despair. Hang tight- hopefully it's all coming soon!

  4. Hi everybody

We've got massive activity happening the last few days so whoooo hooooooooooooooo
Friendly request - If you recently had action on your case, pleas update our spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1b8qNTxz14bzeqOY0Pzk-F0NAWwB42Mr9ypfpwwgm1VU/edit#gid=0

Am seeing too many people panicking that "they are skipped" when in reality, that's probably not the case and many others are in the same boat.  Would help others to know/not know if other people with their dates are still waiting

    Thanks!

Hi, this is my first post here. Please help, I'm so confused!!!

USPS tacking number says my I-751 app was delivered Nov 30 at the Arizona lockbox, but 35 days later my post office money order was still not cashed, no receipt number and nothing in the mail. I called USCIS and they said it's normal to take this long now due of covid, but because my GC expires this Sunday, 01/10, they put an urgent request for a follow up from an office and today someone called me and he said it's NOT normal that it's taking this long and I should send everything again and cancel the money order I sent with the first application.

I'm so confused!!! I was told by a couple different agents on the phone that it's normal to take this long and I should just wait, and now an officer said it is not normal and I should resend. I honestly prefer just waiting at this point because if I send everything again it may take even longer, any suggestions of what I should do??? Thank you!!

    It's normal
They're processing November 15th or so files
U have about 2+ more weeks of waiting ahead of you- Its unfortunate, but normal for all.

    try not to panic

Follow the s/s to see when others are getting notified: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1b8qNTxz14bzeqOY0Pzk-F0NAWwB42Mr9ypfpwwgm1VU/edit#gid=0

DO NOT SEND in another application. that will mess you up big time. JUST WAIT

    Hello all.

so i am confused as i don't understand what is going on.

my package was delivered on 13th f Nov at 9:42 at Arizona lock box, since then i have no update.

i submitted money order as a payment, till 12/31/2020 checking status was showing not cashed since 31st it says : "No information is found on the Money Order. Please validate the serial number and amount you are entering is correct." or This item requires further research; please fill out this form for submission. NOTE: If the money order has not been cashed, submitting the form will initiate a request for replacement.

Has anyone sent payment with money order?

i called USCIS second time today, they have no information about my package, gave me lockbox email but said they are too busy and mostly dont answer emails. have no idea what to do if i get no update till 02/07/2021 that's when GC expires.

if anyone has any info would appreciate.

    Thank you

They're just about processing the November 13th folks-https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1b8qNTxz14bzeqOY0Pzk-F0NAWwB42Mr9ypfpwwgm1VU/edit#gid=0
Give it till end of week.
It's been taking a while for USCIS to get to applications

Can anyone confirm if biometrics are being waived for 100% of I-751 or just a random few are being waived. I need to plan international travel.

If we look at older spreadsheets, it appears that it’s being waived for those that “recently” had a joint interview already.

It’s like K-1 holders that had to have had an interview within the last 2 years to get the conditional card are waived.

So what visa class ure in might be the determining factor. I think CR1 holders will need to do an interview since none has been done here in the states.

am not sure about all visa classes

They were very nice as always and said there’s nothing on the system! Then started telling me to call them closer to my GC expiration date.

Am just simply upset with all this nonsense

Like did people STOP working come December 20th? it really is maddening that things are at a horrific standstill like this.

    Literally everything is crawling

If you look at October (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/13RCTakDzgWAidVNgroLIjgVsgg4RpMhvHo531eS0S0M/edit#gid=0)- it seems people that got NOA since middle of November are now just getting bio-metrics. so am not sure how backed-up they are
    But it is terrifying

Thank you for all the time you give answering and keeping this chat going wit so much helpful information!

I came with a B1/b2 visa, Mine says valid just with DHS authorization, is that the restriction?. I have my EAD but I don’t think I ever used it, I don’t even remember where I placed it, or did we give it back when we applied for the GC? I really don’t remember 🤦🏻‍♀️I want to start looking for a job  this coming week but my GC expires in the 01/16.
So, do I still have to go to SSN office to get that restriction off my SSN?

    Yes- that's the restriction.

Your GC superseded your EAD. So your EAD is no longer valid.

U can only remove the restriction with ur valid GC/EAD.

My hubby was super lazy and never removed his so his is still restricted. lol

It's just a hassle going down to SSN so we never bothered. We plan to do it once he's a citizen and be done with it.

U can go down and do that if you want- but from my perspective, it has never really limited anything once you show the GC. The number will remain the same so it doesn't matter.

  11. 2 hours ago, RS_ said:

Yeah! It's definitely something! It's obvious based on our google spreadsheet that they literally have not touched any ROC applications since 12/17. I called USCIS today and no updates! I'm going to give it until 1/8 then might consult with an attorney. They told me to call them back when it's getting closer to GC expiring within 30 days, i said that would be literally next week! Haha. It sucks that there is no communication from the lockbox facility. The last stakeholders message from them mentioned 30 days of receipt notices which is obviously not what's going on!

    Hey-

What did the person u got say?

like they can’t see ur file in the system? Or they refused to talk to u?

am wondering what’s going on. Because it is getting out of hand at this point

like they can’t possibly expect people’s lives to be on hold like this

and have us debating what if’s on VJ 🤣

  12. 4 hours ago, Marla W said:

Hello Emekus, can you apply for a job with just your DL and a expires GC? My DL won’t expire with my GC.
and what does having a SS restricted looks like? Mine doesn’t seem to say anything like that.

    thank you

    Hi there

so usually, most jobs want two verifications of identity and PROOF of authorization to work

    for citizens, the passport works

for immigrants, it’s usually the Green card and like anything else (SSN, license)

can u apply with an expired green card? Technically I’ll say no (but someone with experience correct me) since many abandon their green cards.

once ur NOA comes, the NOA extends the green card. So u can apply with the expired green card and the NOA.

if u came into the country with like a K-1, the SS restriction has the words “not authorized to work”

it’s basically to say someone came in legally but cannot work. In that case, the Person will need to show an EAD or GC to have the socials valid. If u have one of those, once u get a GC, just go back to SS office and get a new one without those words.

I am currently employed, but I am worried that if my Green Card expires before this gets sorted - what are my options? Do I have to stop working?

    3 hours ago, Dominicana_20 said:

I want to know too. Do we need to let the HR know? Or we can keep working?

I’ve been told that When u are employed already, an employer CANNOT ask for recertification of status.

so even if ur documents expires, u’re good.

Continue working and go about ur business.

if for some odd reason something crazy happens, u tell them u have filed for renewal and that’s that.

it only becomes challenging if ure looking for a new job and will need it to get into their system from the get go
or for those where their state license expires with GC, then getting that NOA ASAP is crucial

Not sure if I agree. I recently contacted the congressman in my district since I have a potential job opportunity. They asked me for job offer to request expedite. If you can prove you will suffer financial loss, they can assist to request expedited service from USCIS.

    Let’s be specific

you Contacted them to do what exactly?

OP asked about contacting about his NOA. His is not expiring till like February so am not sure what a congressman can do when his file can’t even be found yet. It’s not like it expired and now you’re in Jeopardy or something

weve seen in the past particularly on EADs. If u got a job, u now have a REASON to get ahead since processing is so slow.

just because ure stressed and worried that it’s been a while isn’t a reason for expedite- that’s what am saying.

We are still waiting. Ours was delivered on 11/14 and we still have no news. Am calling USCIS tomorrow to see if we can get any information. What other course of action can we take? Should we contact our congressperson? My GC is due to expire on 2/4.

Personally, contacting congressperson is a waste at this point
U can't skip ahead of the line and you are within processing times (no matter how unfortunate that sounds)

I think congress people are for folks who like filed in September or something crazy long ago and everyone else is hearing and not them

Call USCIS. Maybe they have ur case in the system and can give u the case # to track it.
    Good luck!

likewise, this is getting ridiculous, I still dont see any checks cashed looking at the google sheet.

Our spreadsheet might be slightly delayed.  people might be dealing with the holidays and spending less time on VJ and not updating.

i think @Vin got a notification Over the holidays about biometrics so for sure something is happening- slower, but moving

    let’s keep the spirit folks!

Sent mine in on 11/12, lockbox received 11/14...not a word yet or cashed check yet!!! Yikes.

I fear the holidays are going to slow things down even more 😭

i expect it to be slow Into the New Year.
@Socalked- you are so close!!!!!! Hang in there. i think this week, latest next for SURE!

Hi. I accidentally sent my packet last November 10 to Texas supposed to be in Arizona. I called the USCIS and told me to email the lockbox but no response yet. I called again and will forward my call to Tier 2. So I am just waiting for them to call me back within 7 working days. My GC will expire Feb. 8 and got me worried about my application that sent to a wrong address. I hope they are going to inform me as soon as possible if they forward my packet to AZ or mail back to me.

If I recall correctly, they don't forward mails
U might have to wait and receive your package, and re-mail it

please keep us posted. this is always a changing issue

    Good luck!
