The details are in this thread. Not sure why my timeline doesnt show Mexico or any of our info.
He left states on Thursday 5/24/18 driving. It took 10hrs from central Texas to arrive in CDJ. Bio and fingerprint appts on 5/25(fri), saturday, and Sunday, were free days for him. Monday was Memorial Day and the consulate was closed. His interview was Tuesday, 5/29/18. So in total he stayed a week and a day. He got kicked out of his hotel an had to find another, so be sure to book at least 3-4dys of hotel stay after your interview. We only booked 2 extra days and it was hard to find cheap rooms for his extra days while waiting for visa to arrive.
Hope this helps!
Thank you

I have a question,if anyone can help. So I decided to contact NVC because I had the feeling my attorney did not put my email when submitting the ds260 application. Sure enough it was not.for my luck they notified us that they sent our attorney an email requesting additional information since may1st. My question is, will NVC notify me when they receive the additional info?(I added my email address) I'm just worried that my attorney is taking his sweet time in sending the info. I just feel like I can't trust them anymore. The addition info they are requesting is the police clearance letter form Mexico, which we have and gave to them to send.but they decided not to send it🤦🏼♀️
Our attorney did the same thing they said they were waiting for NVC to send paperwork and I called check on that and they had send it to the attorney a year ago. I called to make sure they received everything.

Hello guys another questions here....We have JOINT SPONSOR....their join income (h/w) according to IRS 1040 form on "ADJUSTED GROSS INCOME" is more than $100k....Do they still need to submit EMPLOYMENT LETTER and 3 mo. PAY STUB? If yes, since their tax is filed jointly, will both husband and wife should submit their own employment letter and pay stub?.....Anyone experienced this?
We had joint sponsor and they also filed taxes together (husband &wife) we asked our lawyer if they both should sign as sponsors and provide both their information our lawyer said no and we ended up getting a checklist because the w2 on the husband was not the same amount on the taxes filed because it had both of their income. I dont know if that has happend to anyone else but thats what we experienced

Thanks.
They were actually pretty simple questions. What is your relatives name? Where do you live? What do you do for work? Where is your relative right now? Have you ever been to the US? Then they asked to see the Tourist Visa (At this point they cancel the visa). The longest thign was her typing like crazy god knows what. Overall a super easy interview, the Officer was this very nice young lady. Then she said congratulations your visa is approved, handed some instructions along with a green paper with instructions to pickup the visa.
Regarding accommodations, i can't tell you since i live here in Juarez, but there are Hotels like City Express or Holiday Inn that are literally a few steps away from the consulate.
Thank you so much we are waiting for an interview date

Our CC was Dec 2017. Had our interview April 02 2018.
Congrats. How was your interview? What did they ask? If you don't mind me asking what hotel did you stay at and how much did you spend in hotel?
Thanks

It took a long time unfortunately, as CDJ is one of the busiest consulates. Here are our stats:
Scan date-11/1/2017
Case Complete-1/23/2018 (No checklist)
Interview letter received (via email) 4/2/2018
Interview Date: 5/29/2018
Oh i was hoping that it wouldnt be taking to long 😔. Thank so much and good luck in your interview😊

Hi ICM,
I cant provide any assistance on what questions they will ask, as our interview is scheduled, but hasnt passed yet. Just be sure to answer honestly. If you check the "consulate review" section and select CDJ, there is some helpful information there.
You will make the medical appointment at one of the 3 approved clinics. You make the appointment by calling the clinic directly.
The finger print appointment is made online once you "register" your interview date. This can be done at this website: , https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-mx/iv/information/iv_services. If your husband decided to wait for his approved visa, while in Juarez, then this is also the place where he will return to get this visa packet (once approved).
Here are some additional helpful links:
https://mx.usembassy.gov/visas/instructions-for-immigrant-visa-applicants/
https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/iv-dv-supplemental/CDJ_Ciudad-Juarez.pdf
I created a post in the Regional section asking some of the same questions. Go there and read the responses.
Hope this information is helpful. God bless you.
Thank you how long did it take for them to give you an interview date
