  1. During husband's interview,  I witnessed they asked kids who's step parent filed for them do they talk to the petitioner and what they talk about. They also also ask asked when the parents got married,  what's the petioner name etc. Along those line. Nothing complicated

Okay GUYS!!! I’ve waited FIFTEEN MONTHS to FINALLY say this on VJ community!!!! We GOT OUR VISA!!!! Everyone hang in there!!! Continue to pray, and it will happen to you too!!! This morning, I read the most magical work on CEAC, “ISSUED”!!!!!!! 🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Thank you for everyone’s support! I will continue to pray for everyone in here! Hang in there!!

Yes it feel so unreal.  Saw the magic words today too.

  3. Saw on a different post that once it change from immigrant visa and new case date created to nonimmigrant visa will be issued soon. Im in AP now. You'll get your issue status soon.  I've read many previous after interview post and most recieved issue status after new case date created and the change from immigrant visa to non immigrant visa. We all check CEAC so much we notice little changes and patterns and assume the outcomes.  Good luck. Let's us know when it changes.

How much time you ha been waiting?

AP  can last from days to years.

Husband interview was November 9th they kept his passport.  My lawyer going to email embassy next week if no update.  When I  last the checked the case  was updated this past monday.

I know it's frustrating,  but it's a waiting game we're in at the mercy of them.

I was planning on taking my husband with me to the interview because I’m pregnant. I feel so nauseous and light headed sometimes, so I wanted him to be there but now I’m scared to take him with me base on @Ywjammin30 comment.

I'll let you know the outcome as soon as site update.  But as someone suggest you it's a good idea for spouse to come down to support, but don't go to window with applicant, don't appear eager be humble. I would also mention not to offer any proof unless requested. If I could do it again I'd either wait outside just in case I was needed or if I went inside not go to window with husband and just sit and wait for "his" interview to follow its natural course. I really just miss my husband wish he was here with me right now.  All the best.

Being too eager with Immigration is a red flag. It is like you are directing their thoughts to what you want them to think. Sitting quietly directly behind (if possible) those classy windows at Embassies so you make eye contact with the IO is a great idea. I think it is a great idea to go. (They are 'usually' pretty good to US Citizen Petitioners because we can complain about bad treatment to our Senators etc...).

Good to see India allows. Kenya Embassy refused my spouse to come with me. (security was the reason given which is baloney)

Yea, I'm aware of my mistakes now. Still waiting to see outcome. Hoping for the best. I appreciate your comment.

I don’t know if this topic has been addressed in any way before, but my question is: can the U.S. Citizen petitioner be present/request to be present at the consulate interview along with the beneficiary spouse. This is pertaining IR1/CR1 I-130 spouse visa and the interview will be at Mumbai Consulate.

Thanks in advance for any insight/information.

A friend of mines went to india to support her husband but did not enter embassy but was there just in case petioner was needed. Her husband is now in the USA, he recieved the visa a week later after interview.

  8. I showed up at the embassy to support my husband in jamaica. Wish I didn't because a stoke interview was then d.o.n.e splitting us up and interviewing us separately.  They even asked me what I was doing there. Our case in administrative processing, they kept husband passport, but they asked us so much questions I'm not sure what the outcome will be.

Hi all, for those that have had their interviews did the interviewer ask to see any proof of relationship (chats/pictures etc) from prior to marriage, for example when you first started dating? Is it mostly after marriage proof?

They asked how we met and I the petioner explained thru fb and I made a comment that my now husband liked and commented on. And we began speaking on what's app so the comment of fb screenshot was provided and what's app chats from before marriage.

It's not abnormal for them to ask for messages or proof of courting before marriage.
