Talked to a tier 2 officer again yesterday and he said that they reviewed my case January 16th and that I should receive a decision within 2 weeks, fingers crossed.

EAD - 162 Days still nothing
 
Made 3 Service requests (2nd one was assigned to an officer wich they told me that my case is pending and that the cases are being reviewed in order they are received such BS!)
 
Contacted lawyer - no help
 
Contacted Ombudsman - got a response after 2 weeks that they contacted uscis and they will contact me back when they get a response from them.
 
Talked to a tier 2 officer - she said my case is pending and pretty much told me to wait as I made a service request on January 2nd

Hi Folks, I am heartbroken because my handsome furry son (my  labrador dog) passed away yesterday. I had to put him to sleep. He turned 15 years old on December 2,2018 and we had a great party to celebrate his birthday. He was a handsome, gentle chocolate labrador. Everything happened so fast, he was happy and playing48 hours ago  but 3 massive seizures took this ability to get up, eat, drink and interact with us.  It hurts really bad not seeing here today playing with his toys, laying in front of the fireplace(his favorite thing), running outside when is snowing, he loved snow and it's snowing here today.
 
My husband and I can't stop crying. I truly believe that my furry son  returned to God for eternity. One day we will be  reunited and when the time comes we will be ressurected and then there will be no more death, tears or pain.Hug your loved ones a little tighter today. I wish you all a blessed New Year full of  prosperity, happiness and love.
 

I got a response on my service request I made on November regarding my EAD ( 137 Days till now) Filed on 7th August
On December 13, 2017, your inquiry about the status of your Employment Authorization application, referral number SR1xxx705246MSC, was assigned to an officer for response.
 
On December 22, 2017, we sent a response to your inquiry about the status of your Employment Authorization application, referral number SR1xxx705246MSC
 
On December 22, 2017, your inquiry about the status of your Employment Authorization application, referral number SR1xxx705246MSC, was completed.
 
They sent a message to my email saying that:
Recently, you contacted us regarding your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization. USCIS has received your request and a review confirms your case is pending.  We will continue to work petitions and applications in the order in which they were received.  Once further action is taken, a notice will be sent to the address of record.
Even tho it's been 137 days they still are not processing my application, has anyone ever got a response like this?
 
 

Maybe try to call a tier 2 officer they always seem to help

You can check the status of your service request in "cases" tab when you click on the case number in uscis site when you log in the site

Filed i765 August 7, raised 2 service requests until today I got a response saying that the case has been assigned to an officer, how long does it usually take before a decision has been made?
