so i can leave the country without a I-94 card? since they take that at the interview.This is the bit i was confused about.

Ive been under the impression that after having my interview that i cant travel even with AP til i get my green card, but ive just read on here that other people have, can anyone help me with my confusion, read 2 different things on here about it.

Bloody AOS...man im peed off...paid for AP, then get my interview 12 weeks later, just when i was planning a uk trip to see my kids, so now i wont beable too until i get my green card...and i just know im gonna get stuck in name check,thats my luck. Rant over. yea AOS is stressful. and i know i shouldnt moan when everyones waiting for an interview, just wish mine was alittle later...

After being here for 8 weeks now, theres only 4 things i really miss, lucozade...salad cream..quorn sausages..and gravy that is suitable for non meat eaters...jez i want a gravy meal, what do other veggies eat here when they want gravy, ive found one and thats cr@ppy fat free. going to have to pay thru the nose and order my bisto onion online i suppose.

Oh NOOO i thought that was the case, was hoping i was wrong, never expected to get the interview that quick, and the thought that i might get stuck in FBI namecheck for weeks/months and i wont get to see my girls before xmas will break my heart, dread to think what it they would think about it. suppose theres nothing i can do about it.

I was able to see my case online the day after the biometrics, havent been any good tho as ive always had letters thru before its changed on the website.

Just got our interview date....5th october...Which is great but i was gonna visit my kids back in the uk in october and dont they take the I-94 from me, and that means i cant travel?

Having someone elses child in your life when you have left yours hundreds of miles away isnt easy at all, no one could understand fully unless you are experiencing it yourself. Theres all different emotions going on, do she act like this all the time or just have bad days? I have even felt guilty spending time and doing things for my step child when i cant do it for my own children...this is so bloody hard, im only 7 weeks into my marriage and theres been one or two times when ive thought i cant do this..i need to go back to my kids.....so please dont be too hard on her...

Thanx tinker, those sound great...seen that maid of the mist on a website before...will defiantly do that. going to washington on the 4th sept..mind you its only for a gig so wont get to visit places,and i would like to see the place.

To be honest i dont mind where i go......i love travelling and im up for visiting anywhere...its all new to me, so ill be happy where ever we choose to go.

yea it does look pretty ..all those steps dont look too good tho..lol..give me a heart attack just thinking about going up and down all those.

Its been a dream since childhood to go to canada and see the falls...my nan asked me as a child to take her when i got 18,as she was disabled, and she died when i was 15 so its always something ive wanted to do. So its worth waiting til next year.

My mother and my aunt were the Elvis fans, I just grew up watching him.

We went to Memphis and Graceland. I thought OBOY *rme*...but I walked into Graceland and honestly it was just OMG....everything you seen on tv was right in front of you.

Tunica is close by, nice casinos, good prices, you can play nickles, and the drinks are free lol

Why can't you go to Niagara Falls? The Falls are on both sides, Canada and the US....we were just there a couple weeks ago. We didn't go across to the States, just too much hassle with him being a USC, me waiting on the visa and all the kids. AND the line for the bridge was horrible.

would just rather go to the canadian side..Heard the us side isnt half as nice, plus i would love to stay in one of those hotels for the night that over look the falls, and they dont have any the US side.

thank you all for the info, will look into it ....yea 15 hrs is a long drive, but im quite looking forward to a roap trip..seein all the different sights, shall stay in a motel for a night on the way down so shouldnt be so bad. Defo wanna come south tho as ive heard its more friendly down there.

Had my biometrics today, only 5 other people in there with me, we must of all had an 8am appointment as we all turned up roughly the same time (7:30- 7:45). Was given a form to fill in with A number, height, weight, eye colour, hair colour, also ss number and telephone number which i couldnt remember and had to go back outside to ask Bill. Waited for about 20 mins then had finger prints and photo done. Was really simple, there was only 3 people working in the place and they were very friendly. Hopefully we will now be in the system, going to check now. Sirlancelot ill keep my fingers crossed you get your appt this week.

Before i left the uk i had 2 kittens, one male and one female but because they were indoor cats i thought i would only get the male done, but when the female came in season it was awful, we had about 6 tom cats hanging around the front door, making terrible noise's, which she joined in with, then she started spraying up doors, jezzz that didnt smell good so off to the vets she went. Ive had cats all my life and they have never got pregnant under a year old, but my friend who had two female kittys both got preg at 5 months, so its probably different for every cat.

I use uknova.com, havent missed an episode of eastenders or hollyoaks since ive been in the usa.

Bill and i met on myspace.com in october 05, he messaged me and asked if it was ok to add me as a friend.Later that night he asked to talk on msn, which i wasnt to keen on as had bad experiences of pervy men in the past but thought id at least give it a chance, so i told him i was then going to bed but would chat for 20 mins, that chat ended up 5 hrs long. Every night was the same after that, i wasnt gettin to bed til 6 am and thought about him alday long...and talked about him, my kids thought i had lost the plot..and was sick of hearing his name lol. 2 1/2 months later he came for a visit to england, we then knew what we were feeling was real. Was a relief cos then my family could stop worrying he was some kinda serial killer or something. I then flew to see him, had never been out of the uk before so was very nervous about doing the whole flight thing by myself...then 7 weeks later back i go again..blah blah.. now here i am.

Morningstar Farms are pretty good - I am addicted to their veggie corn dogs!

yea ive had morningstar corn dogs before and liked them alot, but im tryin to eat healthy after gaining an extra 6lb in the last 4 weeks since ive been in the usa,I was looking for a veggi sausage that would go well with salad and was low in fat.....oh and im surprised at the price of salad foods here....its more expensive than the uk

I hear you - those corn dogs are lethal... I gained about as much in Nepal - too much time sitting at my inlaws' eating yummy food and not enough time trekking... Have you tried Boca? I dont remember if they make sausage but their burgers are really good.

yea i have some boca burgers, they do breakfast sausages or links, i think thats what they are called...but i didnt like them.

Yea Mags ive found most quorn products here ( at the price) just not the sausages, they were what i used to eat all the time back in the uk...so im just missin em and whinging about it.
