Has anyone had TWO transfer notices?

I originally filed at CSC. On January 11th, I received an email that my ROC file was transferred to a new center and the other center had full jurisdiction. This reflected on my online profile and eventually got a letter stating that they transferred my thing to the Texas service center.

Yesterday, I got an email that my case was transferred (again?). While yesterday it didn't show it online, today it shows online that "On January 30, 2019, we transferred your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number WAC18XXXXXX, to another office for processing and sent you a transfer notice. " and also that "Case Was Received At My Local Office On January 30, 2019, we received your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number WAC18XXXXXX, at your local office.". Obviously, I haven't received a letter yet. But this suggests that first they transferred me to Texas and now they sent my files to my local office. (It doesn't specify it, but my local office is Milwaukee, WI.)

Has anyone experienced this and got a second transfer notice the past days?

I also applied for N-400 already, so hoping that this means they sent my files here so I can have a double ROC/N-400 interview.... Or perhaps it is just a bug like a year ago when we were all getting 'transfer to local office' notices while no transfers were happening?

When I checked one of the two sites for tracking my case, it said that my case was transferred to my local office as well. But the second site still says that it was transferred to a new jurisdiction and that transfer letter confirms that it was transferred to Texas on Nov. 23rd. When I called USCIS, the automated service also stated that it's still in Texas so I'm not sure what that local office status is. I'm hoping that it's like those local office messages many of us received last April when it just meant that the files were moved from one office to another in the same service center. I did not file N400

Has anyone's case who get transferred received an email stating their case had 'initial review'? And you may have to reappear again with an appointment for biometrics?

I am an October 2017 filer and I received a similar email. I am not sure why we may have to appear for biometrics again...just have to wait to see what happens next. I highly doubt another biometrics appointment though...I just have to remain positive.

Hey folks who had their cases transferred elsewhere but did not get the letter in mail yet:
In my experience, if you call the USCIS hotline and enter your receipt number, the automated message will tell you which office your case was transferred to.
    Hope this helps.
    Good luck!

Thank you for this. I called on Wednesday and could not find out which center it was transferred to. After a series of texts today and then seeing your post, I called again and the automated service said that it was transferred to Texas Service Center from VSC. (I'm an October filer by the way...I just wanted to see if any September filers were also transferred...sorry for taking up space in your forum). Approvals to all of us soon!!

As of this morning, our case was also transferred to another office. No idea which one, but letter is en route with explanation. At least that is progress! We are September 2017 VSC filers.

If you are celebrating, Happy Thanksgiving!

Thank you for responding. Now I see the transfers were for both Sept and Oct filers. Yes, it is progress. I hope that approvals are right around the corner for all of us. Happy Thanksgiving to you!

  5. Hi all. Tonight (close to 9pm EST) I received a number of text messages saying to check my case. When I did, I saw that my "case was transferred and new office has jurisdiction." I am a VSC filer though with a NOA date of October 10th. When I checked the app for the cases around mine, I saw that there were a number of cases which were also transferred. I got the texts close to 9pm so I couldn't call USCIS to find out where it was transferred. Will have to wait till Monday. Up until now, I thought only CSC cases were being transferred. Has any October 2017 VSC filers cases been transferred as well?

I am an October filer and i ve never riceived the 18 months extension letter, I just called USCIS and they told me that I can travel overseas with expired green card and expired extension letter ( I do have the 12 months extension)....is that correct?

    Thank you!

didn't receive the 18 month extension letter when it seemed as if every one else was. So I went to the USCIS website and submitted a case inquiry. I stated that I had not received the 18 month letter. I recieved an email a few days later saying that the extension letter would be 're-sent.' I even called as well to double check that it was the 18 month that was being sent to me and not the 12 month letter again. I recieved the letter in the mail a few days letter. As my 12 month letter expires in early December too, my backup was an Infopass appointment to have my passport stamped which would have granted the extension.

@Jay&M My wife is in a similar position with her 1 year extension letter set to expire in early December. Did you get any notification the 18 month extension letter was being produced or it just arrived unannounced? We are starting to get nervous due to early December not being far away...

@Drewton12 I am an October filer but I follow the September forum too. I didn't receive the 18 month extension letter when it seemed as if every one else was. It is... Let's stay on top of those news and hope for the best! 🙂

Just general, those who are filing for N-400. It is becoming very personal, but just hearing about this, it is making me sick to my stomach.

Obamacare is one of the reasons he is trying to impose these laws.

I am leaning on your good news part -- we are such a strong group of people and we also have a strong group of supporters, so any big change will for sure cause chaos. Let's all hope for the best for everyone. We need to work extra hard to make a descent living  and I am really proud of this in a way -- we don't give up and that's one of the best qualities you can own. :)

Yes, I'm also holding on to the good news part. (My apologies for all my typos above...I was/am really bothered by all of this).

I am not here to discuss politics and what's against the constitution or not & he is enforcing the immigration laws as he promised his voters he will. Now, the "promised not to use any benefits" doesn't mean someone has to die just because they can't really afford health care. Even as a legal GC holder, when you seek benefits for your citizen family member, you are in jeopardy not to be approved for citizenship.

I am not sure if you both are speaking about persons who came to the US on K visas before applying for a legal permanent residence, but lawfully present immigrants which include lawful permanent residents (LPR/Greencard Holders) and conditional entrants are eligible for coverage and subsidized plans in federal and state Health Insurance Marketplaces. I am presently waiting on an immigration attorney to get back to me about this. But as an LPR who is eligible for health insurance because private health insurance has not been available,  this is troubling news. It's beyond politics. It's personal. How many of us and waited to be married to our spouses and feel that we almost close to the end of all these years of legal wranglings, and then there is news of this?? No politics here, but...

I have news I want to share with you guys first. Today I went to my mail box about five minutes ago and there was an approval letter dated 20 Feb from the Vermont center/centre.

Congratulations Shell!! I am an October filer but I check the Feb and March thread to check timelines and also to see your posts. I'm truly happy for you. Congrats again!!

Hi everyone, the VT center just received out package on 10.25.2017 so the wait begins! Husband's GC expires 12.10.2017. Can someone please advise what document he has to show to his employer if any? Thank you and good luck to all!

Hello, your husband would show his employer the NOA (which USCIS should send) which extends his status in the US for one year from the time his conditional status expires. The NOA authorizes employment and travel during this time.
