ok the reason i asking cause i heard i have to wait 10 days after i have my visa in hand so it will be in system supposely 

i refuse  to wait and wait  another 10 days 

as soon as i get my passport returned with my visa on it . am i allowed to travel the next day to USA ? or is there a waiting period ?

I was on hold for maybe 5 mins then was put through to a lady that asked me my full name, who I was on the visa, my date of birth and my receipt number. She then gave me our case number and invoice number. Good luck! 

so after they gave you invoice number did you go online and pay fees and schudule your interview ? im stuck on the page they askong for invoice number so i can pay fees

Yes sorry I can’t focus right now . My status says it’s in READY . So I thunk I might becon wrong page to pay fees

No it will not say "ready". While you are pending a shipment date it will say "at NVC".  Once your file is packaged for DHL You'll see your status change to 1) "in transit" - shipment is in the air or soon will be at the embassy, 2) "received" - physical case file is at the Embassy and 3) "ready" - your case is ready to schedule and complete your interview per your embassy instructions.  These everyone's current state or status to their case file once they have received the case number.

ok so my case says ready but its asking for me invoice number to contine . am i to wait for an email with that info ?

can i get help on next step my case say its in ready status but im trying to pay fee and its asking for invoice number 

i already filled out ds form 

This is what I get in my email i don’t see imvoce number unless I am blind 

or should I be expecting another email?

ou will also need your NVC Case Number and Invoice ID Number (located on the NVC Welcome Letter you received from us). Once you obtain this information, log into the Immigrant Visa Invoice Payment Center and pay your fees. Please note you cannot pay these two fees simultaneously; the online system will ask you to pay them one at a time.

I was able to order my transcripts online but when i called today they told me that its not available until june. For 2018

yes you have option to get them by mail or download them . I printed all mine from pass 6 years with no problem

i was  able to upload IRS trancript  on IRS website within minutes 

Do I have to call for my interview date?
NVC has improved greatly since March. The interview letter now comes day of schedule. So call if you want its up to you.

so they will mail interview letter the day it is schedule  ? no advance notice ?

Im having a hard time  finding an app to scan passport photo to correct size to upload on CEAC site 

anyone have an suggestions ?

I just wanted to say thanks to this forum. I'm not a particularly great contributor here, but I have lurked on this forum for the past year looking for for any insights i can get into this process. Notwithstanding all of my agonising, planning and aversion to taking any step that may delay my application, my experience has been exactly as documented many times on this forum (we got married, filled in some forms, waited for around a year, "Interview - AP - Issued"). With that, we can move on with our lives and start thinking about stuff "normal" couples think about (where to live, the colour of a new matching towel set, etc.) and I cannot wait.

 

If anyone wants any insights into the process I am happy to offer what I can.

It depends on the expedite that you get. Some expedites you pay the Embassy directly and do not upload documents. You only complete the DS-260 online and bring all documents to the Embassy. You pay the AOS the the Embassy and waive the IV Fee. 

when are we suppose to complete this document ds-260 ? and pay ?
