Ok...so our case is also showing   "In transit"  whohooo!   Can someone tell me what I/we need to do in order to call and schedule the Interview and Medical?  I know we should wait for the packet3/4 info.  Will we need to send the DS-160 and pay the interview fees before they will book the interview?  I understand in Bogota they want your interview date in order to schedule the Medical exams?  Or if this is already explained somewhere else....please point me to the thread...Thnx

im looking for same answer too

No it will not say "ready". While you are pending a shipment date it will say "at NVC".  Once your file is packaged for DHL You'll see your status change to 1) "in transit" - shipment is in the air or soon will be at the embassy, 2) "received" - physical case file is at the Embassy and 3) "ready" - your case is ready to schedule and complete your interview per your embassy instructions.  These everyone's current state or status to their case file once they have received the case number.

ok so my case says ready but its asking for me invoice number to contine . am i to wait for an email with that info ?

how long does it take to get invoice number ? i already completed forms uploaded passport pic now waiting to pay fees but cant without invoice number

status says ready to schedule interview not sure what to do now

ou will also need your NVC Case Number and Invoice ID Number (located on the NVC Welcome Letter you received from us). Once you obtain this information, log into the Immigrant Visa Invoice Payment Center and pay your fees. Please note you cannot pay these two fees simultaneously; the online system will ask you to pay them one at a time.

    Hi guys,

i need your help. I called nvc and they told me to submit irs transcript for 2018. But i called irs and they said its not available until june. So cut down the wait, should I submit 2018 tax return file (1040) that my accountant did for me? Or w-2s?

Or what should I submit, i dont want to wait for irs transcript until june.

i was  able to upload IRS trancript  on IRS website within minutes

Once you get the NVC case number, you can pay both fees and complete the DS-260, and upload all documents, if you're doing CR-1/IR-1.  We did all that on April 14 and then today uploaded more documents on CEAC website.  K-1 is different if you're doing that, I'm not sure how K-1 works at NVC.

    yes im doing K1 visa

am i in wrong topic  ?

We're at the NVC stage.  In case anyone is interested in learning from our experience, I uploaded an IRS tax transcript on the same day as all the other documents and later realized it was only page 1 of a four-page document.  So two weeks after uploading everything, when I found the mistake, I was worried that this error would cause a delay.  Everything was showing as "submitted," but not yet reviewed.  When I tried to re-submit the correct document and replace the one originally uploaded I couldn't, so I called NVC (on hold for almost an hour), the nice lady said to go ahead and submit the other three pages by clicking on "add new document" in the affidavit of support tab so I did that today.  So for everyone's benefit, if you forgot to upload a document and they have not yet reviewed what you originally submitted, you can add documents later, before everything is reviewed, and avoid the dreaded notice of incomplete documents and the three-week wait after re-submitting the correct documents.  Just go ahead and add a new document, additional evidence of bona fide relationship, evidence of additional visits, etc. before they review everything, which typically is a three week wait after submission of everything.  So that's what we did and we hope  to get case complete and an interview date soon.  Good luck everyone at the NVC stage!

is this after you filled out ds 160 form ? i uploaded passport photo thats it . so i think im suppose to wait for email from NVC to get case number then pay fee right ?

Hi everyone, after months of waiting, many flights, and hours on Skype, the CR1 visa was approved in London and I'm heading to to the US.

I just wanted to say thanks to this forum. I'm not a particularly great contributor here, but I have lurked on this forum for the past year looking for for any insights i can get into this process. Your contributions here have been very helpful. Notwithstanding all of my agonising, planning and aversion to taking any step that may delay my application, my experience has been exactly as documented many times on this forum (we got married, filled in some forms, waited for around a year, "Interview - AP - Issued"). With that, we can move on with our lives and start thinking about stuff "normal" couples think about (where to live, the colour of a new matching towel set, etc.) and I cannot wait.

If anyone wants any insights into the process I am happy to offer what I can.

    CONGRATS !!! :)
