You will get an email confirmation. I had the Madrid embassy corroborate it for me:

"Recibirá la autorización a través de correo electrónico, espere a recibirla para poder fijar su fecha de entrevista.

    Un saludo.

Hi everyone! I just want to share this just in case sb is going through the same. So 2 months after NOA2 my case was at the embassy (according to CEAC) but I kept waiting for packet 3. I was getting too anxious with the wait so I decided to email the consulate. They told me they had sent the instructions (packet 3) a while ago (even though I never got them) and that I needn't have waited for it in order to send it back. They also attached an electronic copy of packet 3 so I could do it. So the bottom line is don't wait for packet 3. You are good to go and send your stuff once the NVC online status says "ready".

Hi. I waited for packet 3 for a very long time (over a month) and I never got it in the mail. Then I decided to email the embassy in Madrid and they told me I didn't need to wait for packet 3 to send them all the documents listed in the checklist. They also attached a digital copy of packet 3 so I could fill out the last page. Hope to hear soon about packet 4!

I wish I had known before haha. The Spanish Embassy was one of the ones that apparently still require packet 3 though

Hello to all VJ family members.  As most of you know I am in the Philippines right now enjoying time with my better half.

Anyway......., Yesterday, or well I should say the 27th in the Philippines was my Fiancees birthday. This is the first time we have been able to be together for a birthday, so we wanted to really celebrate with a nice dinner and some wine. After getting ready and waiting for a Grab (Uber) if your not sure what grab is, my email notification went off on my phone. So looking for something to do I checked my email, and the email I received was from USCIS,  it said there was a case status change. I quickly grabbed my laptop, logged in, and WOW!!!! It said our case was Approved on the 26th!! Honestly I couldn't think of a more perfect way to get an approval notice! Almost like a storybook notice. We are together, it's her birthday, we were all dressed up and leaving to celebrate. Needless to say we now had two reasons, and of course we over celebrated, if that's such a thing. he he

Just wanted to let everyone know and thanks for all the support. I'm glad I could help in the past with scans and answering questions and will continue to help in the future.

I was expecting to be jumping of happiness , but I wait so long that it is kind of... Okey, thanks... and I hate that!.... Its like someone let you hungry for months and then decide to give you a piece of bread and expect you to be very very happy... any way...Maybe when I wake up tomorrow I will realize what just happen...

I want to thank all the support that I got from you guys...❤️😎

Yes the co-sponsor will fill out an I-134 the same as the sponsor and will need the same supporting documents.
I-134 is what you use for the K-1 Fiancee visa and I think you will use the I-864 for when you are doing your Adjustment of Status (Green Card).

    16.460?
Where did you get that amount from????
    That's wrong.  20.300 for 125% , 16.240 for 100% (Hawaii and Alaska is higher)

    Nooooo that's awesomely wrong information!

Normally, I-134 is not made for co-sponsorship, so it doesn't have a different section for this unlike I-864 which is also called joint sponsorship.
That wrong info must have come from that.

However, in this kind of cases, as long as the embassy let's you use a co-sponsor you can use one by providing the same form with some part answered differently (did you file a petition etc parts. so be careful not to just copy paste all the info)

Well, everybody, after my depressing post yesterday I went to go check my mail before the gym and found out WE ARE FREAKING ACCEPTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No e-mail, no app notification. That means there may more approvals coming through the mail. I fell to the floor and cried and shook for about 10 minutes while calling my fiance and family.
All of the stress is SO worth it once you get that acceptance. I am updating my timeline right now and will continue to be on the forum. Thank you to everyone who has been so kind and helpful to me. My Brit and I are forever thankful.
Good luck and lots of hugs to everyone
@Naes you can take me off the list! OMG!

That is what I find so frustrating about this whole process. We don't get to know why it is taking so long for them nor when we are gonna get approved. It'd be really mind-soothing if the online status shed a little more light on our cases' progress showing notifications such as "your case has been assigned" or "your background check has been completed succesfully". Hopefully one day they will enhance it all.
You guys are really about to get it!!! Just a little longer...

Thank you!!! That is true. Our case was likely in a box or a big pile all this time until it was dusted off, flicked through and then approved. So 7 months for 15 minutes... the backlog must be huge and they must be so understaffed

Just the past years tax is what they ask for. Some people go back three years. Actually, unless your self-employed tax returns are not required per I-134 USCIS instructions.
