Ok first of all you need to discard the previous I-864 and make a new one as you are the main sponser. In this one you should write your address ( your father address assuming that you are currently living with your parents) and for the employment you should state that you are unemployed because you recently moved back to the States.

Fill another one (I-864) as your father the joint sponsor and he should state his income for the past 3 years and on top of the is the US address.

Now or after filling both I-864 you should send them to NVC

In in this way you would  prove that you intend to live and work in USA and your father will bear the financial burdens if your husband ask for social support.

@wolvarien that you for the advise. I have been giving a few telephone interviews. One company has shown interest in hiring me. If they give me a letter mentioning that they would like to hire me will that help?

    Hi

since you don’t reside in USA it is better to get a joint sponsor that reside there and pay the taxes properly for the past 3 years.  In addition to that I recommend that you file a new affidavit of support that shows that you have a domicile in USA. After that send both of them to NVC

they will process your documents and schedule an interview date.

@wolvarien thank you so much for the response. I have already sent the documents to NVC I -864. NVC has sent an email to me and they have mentioned the below:

When reviewing your case, we noticed that your sponsor might not have a principal residence or be domiciled in the United States. A sponsor must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident who lives in the United States and plans to stay indefinitely. If your sponsor is living outside the United States temporarily, they must show:  They left the United States for only a limited time,  They intend to keep their residence in the United States, and  Evidence of continued ties to the United States.

In this case you suggest that i get a joint sponsor with my father who lives in USA? Could you please let me know how do I file an new affidavit of support. I how to I prove my domicile?

It was a good one. First went to a window 1 and the lady asked for original birth and marriage certificate, passport and photos there on went for finger scanning and then for an interview. CO was a nice lady during interview she kept checking Affidavit of support, tax returns and other financial papers. She asked many questions- where do you live? What do you do? What subjects do you teach? How long are you staying in the UAE? Which all countries did you stayed for more than 6 months?  What did you do in the U.K? What level education you have? Where & how did you met your husband? When was the wedding? Where was it? Describe your wedding? Were your family at the wedding? Where does your husband live? With whom he lives? Own house? What does he do? Which subjects he teach? How many times did he visited you after wedding? Where did you go on honeymoon? Which countries in the Europe? What are the things you both disagree on? When you are planning to go US? She asked for original police clearances. Checked the date on Dubai police clearance, she kept original police clearances. Checked original birth certificate and marriage certificate, and returned. Given the paper of rights in the USA

Then said all good, congratulations! Your visa got approved. Given the white sheet and said you will get email for the collection of the passport.

@Mandysahota Congrats. How long did it take you from the time you sent your package to NVC till the interview.

It took 8 months for NVC to complete my packet review. For medical, wait until you get interview appointment. Once you get interview letter, it will have instructions on where to get the medical completed. Do medical at that time. Be sure to take current/unexpired police clearance certificate to the interview. Also, be sure to take to the interview a copy of current paystubs, last year's w-2 and tax form 1044. We were asked for form 1044 even though we had both current pay stubs and last year's W-2s.

@shahnam0716 8 months is quite a time. I thought it wouldn't take that long. How does NVC notify you once they are done with your file? Also I have sent them mine and my spouses police clearance in the file. In Dubai the police clearance expires after 3 months. Do I need to apply for another one? We both currently live in Dubai
