    Hey Augustines ❤️❤️❤️❤️

They are indeed doing updates!!! Because someone in July got a backdated update I started a quick scan and already saw 3 approvals dated 2/8! (Some I think dated August 3so far)

I'll wait till their midday to run a full scan and update you all!!

    Welcome!

While there's nothing stopping you from doing that, an important detail is that you won't be allowed back into the US without a new visa (like a CR-1...ETA: 12-14 months) or until after you receive AP (filed alongside AOS after marriage). The K-1 is a single use visa.
After you enter and marry the petitioner within 90 days, you need to file for AOS to remain in the US. You can also file for AP (to travel abroad and return), and an EAD (to work) at the same time as AOS. ETA: ~4 months or so for approval of AP + EAD.

If there is an emergency that requires going abroad briefly, you can request an expedite or emergency AP only at that time. You must show evidence of the emergency (they're pretty strict here). This is an option, but always be prepared that they won't grant it.
