I have the same , tonyeck!

Did you receive your card already?

I did indeed :) Took about 12 days

  2. One of the most important document which is needed is the lease which is supposed to be signed together. Well i live with my parents and the lease for my apartment has expired.

It's important, but not needed. For example, I live with my in-laws with my wife as she finishes here degree as it makes so much more financial sense right now. We had no bills in our name, no utilities and certainly no lease. We sent a signed affidavit from my in-laws explaining that we were all living under one roof. Lifting of conditions was approved very quickly (by Vermont standards) with no questions.

here is the evidence we sent:

Copies of mys Passport and Permanent Resident Card

Three sworn affidavits and one letter by US citizen friends/family attesting to our relationship and marriage

    Copy of our Marriage Certificate

Copies of our Federal Tax Returns from 2007 and 2008

Copies of our State Tax Returns from 2007 and 2008

Copies of W2’s and 1099’s from 2007 and 2008 showing our shared address

Copies of Property Tax information sent to the both of us during our marriage

Six Copies of Bank statements for our joint checking and savings accounts, from 2007, 2008 and 2009

Copies of various notices from our shared car insurance policy throughout our marriage

Copies of our Driving licenses showing our address

Copies of our individual health insurance plans addressed to the same address

Copies of car titles showing our shared address at home

A copy of airline reservations for multiple vacations including the United Kingdom and San Francsico, CA

Copies of Boarding passes from a trip to the UK in December 2008 and San Francisco in May 2008

Copies of various holiday cards we have received since being married

Copies of various tickets from events we have gone to together

Copies of various photographs taken of us from 2007 to 2009 during our marriage

    Hope that helps!

  3. Well, there certainly does seem to be some anger in this thread, which is a shame.

So let's take a moment to remember all the hard work we have all done to get to where we are today to be in a great country with our loved ones, especially over the holiday season. Let's think of those who are still in the K1 stages of things who will be far away from their significant others with a very long journey with the USCIS ahead of them. I am certainly thankful for where I am today and I never forget it.

I'm sorry for those who have to wait longer than others when it seems to make no sense, but rest assured, they will get to you eventually and as you probably know, had nothing to worry about.

    Happy Holidays everyone!

  4. Wish I had your problems.

It certainly wasn't a complaint regarding a problem. Just an observation - No need to be snide about it

I understand that people (not relating this to you sh18, just as a general comment) get a little worried over removing conditions, but really, if you have a relatively straight forward case, there is very little to worry about. It's up to the USCIS to prove a fraudulent marriage at the end of the day and it's extremely rare for a denial when you have no reason to be denied. The scary stuff was the K1 stuff, or the adjustment of status where there was much more to worry about. During this stage I pretty much just let it be, expecting to wait 5+ months to hear something. I knew once I had my extension that I was fine, and if it got to close to a year I'd figure it out then.

Ultimately, the USCIS does a good job, especially when their job is quite a hard one. I am sure they are busy, and while it might seem easy to us to go through an application, I am sure it does take a while to properly review each case to a specific standard they must live up to. Sometimes the time lines seem backwards to us, but that's just the way it works out.

And yes, there are certain cases that seem to just last forever for whatever reason - those are the people I feel terrible for.

  5. well exactly same thing happen to me today:))

I have already been approved on NOV 17th and received my approval letter on Nov 2Oth,

Dec 7 i RECEIVED CARD PRODUCTION ORDERED E MAIL

DEC 8TH i received 2nd Card production ordered e mail

DEC 10th I received another e mail states that approval notice sent on dec 10th

so even though it doesnt look like it makes any sense at first ,there is an explanation on my case statuis online page,

post desicion activity part states that

"" For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State.""

so looks like first they r notifiying applicants on approval then they r oredering card production and after that 2nd notofication or approval letter goes to national visa center , This is what I understood from this mixed up e mails:))

Hopefully I got it right..

    Hello fellow vj members,

I got the approval letter in the mail on Nov.30,2009 for the I-751 i filed in July. Just wanna ask since am confused about the emails I received from USCIS.

On Dec. 3..my status online says "card production ordered" and i got the email same day that they ordered the card.

Today i got another email from USCIS dated Dec. 8 telling me that today they sent me the approval letter. Why is that when i already got the approval letter on Nov. 30?

Pls help.should i worry about this? Thanks for any help.

Haha, mine is the same - exact dates too

  7. Does anyone here know if we need a new passport photo for this?

You do not need a passport photo unless you are overseas (military etc)

Don't freak out. This part of the process is much easier than what you have probably already gone through. Ultimately it is up to the USCIS to prove a false marriage and it sounds like you have great evidence to suggest otherwise.

    I quote VJ here:

On the "don't panic" front -- ultimately the burden of proof is on the CIS to show a fraudulent marriage. Even if CIS denies, the application can be renewed in front of an Immigration Judge (IJ) in Removal Proceedings -- and the IJ's tend to APPROVE those cases.

Sit back and relax and you will be fine!

  8. Hi, my husband came here in August and I was just looking into the removal of condition process and how it works. When exactly are we suppose to file for removal of conditions? Is it a year and a half after coming to the us??? Like if my husband came on august 7, 2009 I would file march 2011???? Please answer my question so I can have in mind what I need to do and when.

    Thank you

    The exact answer is...

Anytime WITHIN the 90 days before the Green Card Expires...

For example - My Green Card expires November 1st 2009. I Applied for lifting of Conditions on the 6th August 2009. This was WITHIN the 90 day window when I can apply

    http://www.visajourney.com/faq/k1k2visa-re...itions.html#7.3 - will help

  9. Okay...so I am starting to wonder. My wife's I-751 was mailed on 8-14-09 and through the post office, it wasn't received until 8-24-09. I saw that the check was cashed that same day. Since that time, I have not heard anything from the USCIS. I never received an NOA1 and I tried to look-up the case in the USCIS website, based on what I could decipher from the face of the check and it said "case not found". Any suggestions??? Starting to worry a bit.

    Scott

You sound like me! I was freaking out and TracyTN helped me realize nothing was wrong. My check was cashed on the 24th too, and I didn't receive my NOA1 till today... It was sent September 4th... It may just be behind like mine was. Don't worry - it will show up. The number on the check is not the same as the case number. The real case number is on the Bio letter.
