My husband was an american and I recieved a green card..We split up and thats when I got arrested back in the 80s.I had a green card before I was arrested I decided to come live in UK when my parents were ill. I had to abandon my green card as I lived outside the USA over a year.I applied for a visitors visa and I recieved that after a successful waiver.

You said you lived in the US for 22 years. How did you get there, how did you deal with your issues in so doing.

So you went through this process before, how did that work out?
I was denied an esta to visit the USA a few years ago so I applied at embassy to visit and was given a B2 visa after 6 months. This is IV and a lot more involved.

You can ask for it to be returned to you.
Thankyou I may have to do that if I need it.So 3 grams of marijuana 33 years ago is definately a reason for inadmissability?I was just in my 20s It was a one time thing.Thats very sad but it is what it is I have to accept it.I have 3 american children and 4 american grandchildren.I lived in USA 22 year but abandoned my green card when i moved back to England 10 years ago.All my family live in USA now my parents deceased.I am alone here now

I would still have your daughter contact a lawyer as mentioned, but I think you'll "only" need a waiver for the marijuana. The prostitution does not make you inadmissible since it was over 10 years ago.
Your daughter is a qualifying relative for the i-601 waiver for you. They take about a year to process and there are no guarantees. If you are granted a waiver, up to date documents of what ever other documents they ask for will ofc also be needed.
Good luck to you and please keep us updated.
Oh man a year .OK They will have my passport for a very long time.

Yes was 33 years ago when i was in my 20s I am nearly 60.I have no arrests or issues since. The officer said I would need a waiver but I think he said my daughter could apply.but I dont have instructions how to do this Very grateful for replys this has been worrying me for last several montths
On the form says refused but then says send more documents.

Well, that's the thing. Prostitution only disqualifies you if it was within 10 years. Since this was 33 years ago, the OP is left with the marijuana offense which is a single offense less than 30 grams and over 15 years ago -
I'm surprised that the slip asks for documents but doesn't say anything else.

I think you raised this in one of your prior threads, obviously with Prostitution and Drug issues this is not DIY and a child petitioning for a Parent can not apply for certain crimes to be waived.
May I please ask what DIY means and if I dont do anything it will just sit.I was not given a waiver form etc

i want to say I am very grateful to you as you always try to help me when I am soo confused.I appreciate this very very much but I still feel lost on what my consulate officer said.I had to do sputum tests and provide my daughters taxs.I gave him the old court records .But now they do have my medical and all documents will they send me waiver instructions?
-
I have had my medical and interview.I told the consulate officer I was arressted 33 years ago for prostitution and 3 grams of marijuana. On the blue form he asked me to supply more documents for my petitions taxs but he did not tick waiver box or give me information except my daughter who is a US Citazen may be able to apply for a waiver for me.On my ceac it says refused but they do have my medical and all required documents.I was not told how to apply for waiver or my daughter apply waiver. My question is will I need a waiver if arrest was 33 years ago? Am I expected to file by myself or will they contact me how to apply?I dont know how to proceed. My mdical expires in 3 months They have my passport and all my documents.I was not told how to proceed with a waiver but maybe because they did not have medical at time of interview or all required documents. If they now have everything will they wait on me to send in waiver without telling me how or i need one?

Last week it was drugs. Now prostitution. Or have you been involved in both?
Well both at the same time 33 years ago.I had 3 grams of marijuana when arrested for prostitution. It was a long long time ago

i have been to my interview and was refused as I needed to prove domicile.that my daughter lives in California.I am English I was arrested 30 years ago for prostitution and pocession of 3 grams of marijuana in Tampa Florida..The consulate officer said its best for me to get an attorney and my daughter may have to file a waiver? How long does that take if she has to file a waiver because of my old arrests 33 years ago to be exact
-
Hi I may need a waiver as inadmissable for prostition 33 years ago. Will the officer waive it at my interview or how long does it take to get a waiver?

You need to take a look at your other thread again and re-read the responses there. You got some good advice on the first thread.
I-601A, Application for Provisional Unlawful Presence Waiver can i submit that before interview? Or will they tell me i have to submit after interview?
