After my fiancé's interview on 11/6, he was told to register on the UStraveldocs.com site for the IV Address Registration. Haiti just started using this site and we are one of the lucky ones to go through first. I would have much rather been one of the unfortunate ones to use the old system (I jest). Anyway, I logged on to the site to complete the IV Address Registration, and much to my dismay found that the K-1 visa option was not listed. Long story short, I put in a complaint with the UStraveldocs help desk and they were suppose to get back to me in two business days. Since that time I've spend hours on the phone with them trying to figure out how we can pick up his passport (The CEAC said Issued on 11/10) and all they can say is "You have a ticket. You must wait for them to contact you. Have patience. There's nothing we can do." Today I spoke to a supervisor who told me that the Haitian Embassy has to approve their request to update the site. Which means that for the last 10 days they haven't done anything to resolve the issue and if you've ever contacted the embassy you know it takes FOREVER for them to respond so I have little hope that they'll have it fixed for us to register correctly and get him here for Thanksgiving.

Now for a small ray of hope... I have looked and looked on here for any mention of this issue and I found two. One said that this isn't the place to ask about this issue and the other said that after hours of contacting the UStraveldocs folks someone told them to pick a different visa type and that would be fine as long as it said spouse - and it was! So I'm going to try that and pray that it works. One of my VJ Haitian friends took this advice and he registered using it, printed the confirmation page, and was able to pick up his visa today. My fiancé is going to try on Monday so wish us luck and I'll post how it goes. So if you're going through this too, please know that you aren't alone and that maybe there's a way around this problem that doesn't involve more waiting.

So did it work cause we got approved Tuesday and idk what class to use. Which one did you use?

I did not see any Haiti cases come through today on the Android app.

 

Get that DS-160 done if not already.

I had signed up for email alert and I got it during my lunch. Question, it wouldn't be a problem to start and finish the DS-160 paperwork

Looks like yourself and I have the same NOA date and are both still awaiting (20th Apr).

I hope it does this week... Im planning my trip to haiti right so I can go on the week of his interview

so i am 153 days in and still nothing and I am noticing that ppl that filed after me are getting approved. I keep calling and no answers at all.

Day 141... hoping and praying constantly!!!

I just e-mailed his local office using his website.  Constituent services.  Gave them my info and also had to complete a privacy act notice authorizing them to receive the info from USCIS.  Beleive me, when a US government agency gets an inquiry from a Congressman or Senator they will respond immediately.

Just back from the Philippines and picked up my mail.  Received my petition approval from Homeland Security.  I had e-mailed my US Senator and they contacted USCIS.  Right afterwards I got my approval.  Coincidence?  Now waiting for my case number.  Hope everyone else is  getting good news.

Question, what did you write to your US senator? cause I think I might go that route

Long time user of this website, first time I’ve written anything. Great news, NOA1 dated 04-19-17 and NOA2 received today via email 08-30-17. Visa was approved in 133 days I’m happy to say - so glad and wishing everyone else has the same luck!

I had filed my forms for my fiancé in Haiti in April and they received it April 20th. Still patiently waiting on NOA2 approval. A little stress and getting depress cause the distance is killing us!! Anyone got approved around my date?

Have you received your case number from them yet? They are supposed to mail you a letter with it, but not everyone receives the letter for some reason. The easiest way to get the number is to call them. If you have the case number and the CEAC tracker still says 'At NCV' I would keep calling them (the NVC) because you are way outside of the 30 day processing time. 

I only received the NOA1 notification on April 25th of them receiving my petition on April 20th. Still waiting on the notification for NOA2 and I had called them and they state that i have 3 more months. its been 4 and they have been friends of mine that filed for the K1 visa 1st of April that have been approved for NOA2 2 weeks ago.

The y received it on April 20th, they haven't given me the approval to send it to Haiti Embassy yet!! 😡

NVC received my application on April 20... anyone got approved for the next step closer to my date. My nerves are in bunches cause I am getting aggravated!!!
