  1. Hi everyone! My husband and I will FINALLY be having our green card interview tomorrow and I just had a few clarifying questions!

In the checklist sent by USCIS, they said to bring affidavit of support forms unless already submitted. We've already submitted those when we initially filed for AOS. Will we need to show that again?

Secondly, I haven't had the chance to be added onto my husband's lease yet (he moved in when I was waiting in my home country for the K-1 visa) and when we called his landlord, he said he'd be developing the property and hence we are currently just on a month-by-month basis and won't be able to have a document showing a lease per se. Would that affect our chances of proving bonafide marriage? We have joint checking account, joint tax return, letters addressed to me at the same address, and document showing that I'm sole beneficiary of his life insurance plan. Would that be enough? Do they ask for A LOT of evidence at the interview? We have lots of pictures and tax forms etc but the one thing that worries me is the thing about the lease, that's all.

So yeah basically 1) do we need to bring affidavit of support again and 2) would our documents be sufficient to prove bonafide marriage?

    Thank y'all!

Who among you here that still waiting for AOS interview to be scheduled and interview will be held in USCIS San Antonio Texas Field office? I would love to hear any updates on your case. I filed August 26, 2018 and the status still stuck on ”interview to be scheduled”.

Hi there! I'm in Austin as well and we filed August 24th 2018 and we just got my EAD approved today (2/6) and interview was scheduled last week (1/29)! Our interview is scheduled for March 5th at the San Antonio field office, so I think yours should be in the next week or so? My EAD took a lot longer than expected but still approved! Hope that answers any questions!

  3. Hi everyone!

Been lurking here here for a while but thought I would post on here! We received our NOA1 August 24th 2018 and had biometrics done November 6th 2018.

Since then, our AOS has updated to “interview ready to be scheduled” and EAD still stuck at “case has been received” with no updates so far.

Should I be worried? It’s been so long and I just want to be able to work already and get our interview scheduled! 😭 I didn’t get any information about whether our case got transferred or not but we’re in Austin, TX, so I’m assuming it’s been transferred to the Texas Service Center? Our case number starts with MSC which I understand to mean it’s being processed by National Benefits Center.

Sorry, just wanted to share my worries with y’all and see if anyone else is in the same boat? Thanks everyone and good luck to all who are still waiting and congrats to all who have gotten approved!

  4. Hi there!

I don't know if anyone has been in the same position as I am, but I used to be a student under F-1 in the US and that's where I met my fiance! I'm waiting for our packet from the embassy as of now and read that I need to get a police clearance from anywhere I've resided for more than 6 months, which means the US counts, too. Do I have to obtain a police clearance from the US as well or would the NVC have access to that information? I have taken fingerprints before in the US for jobs and they've always come up clear.

So yeah I'm just wondering if I have to get police clearance from the US as well and if so, how would I go about doing that while I'm all the way over here in my own country?

Sorry if this doesn't make sense. I hope someone can help, thank you :)

Here is the Mid-Day scan. So far looking great!

Also to make it even better, as I was going through today's scan I noticed that there was a bunch of updated approvals and movement yesterday which did not show up in the full day scan. I will work on that and post the results from yesterday after a quick break.

They’ve totally skipped the 38200s except that one RFEwhich is where I’m at! Ahhhh I’m getting so anxious and excited at the same time!

    Yep! No updates!

register for informed delivery if you can.

We can’t do that cos we have the address as his parents’ house cos we had problems with deliveries with his previous address! But thank you! Any idea when the letters usually arrive? It’s just weird seeing that we’ve passed the estimated adjudication date on our timeline haha. So anxious!

It just means they received your application.  Nothing to do with an approval at all. Its the NOA2 that  you will be wanting. Which is still not an approval. The approval will come with the interview after the NOA2

So does that mean when we get approved, they’ll say “NOA2 sent” or something like that? Sorry for all the questions, just want to be sure!

  8. Hi there! I'm kinda new here and I was wondering if anyone has received something similar to this:

Your Case Status: Post Decision Activity

We mailed your document for your Form I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E), Receipt Number WACXXXXXXXX. If you do not receive your document by December 3, 2017, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request that we resend the document to you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

What does this mean? Does it mean we've been approved? Cos it doesn't say anything about approval so I don't want to get my hopes up but also don't want to be too anxious about it!

    Any help would be appreciated!
