    Hey everyone!

The NVC forwarded our case to the consulate end of June. We filled the DS-160 and scheduled an interview because the first time I called they told me it was okay to do. Later we found out we were supposed to wait for a packet in the mail from the consulate with instructions.

We are still waiting to receive this packet of instructions from the consulate.... Does anyone have advice about this? Did you have to wait for this packet? when did you get it? anything we can do to speed up the wait?

It's weird because I have seen people who applied their 129 after us and they have had interviews already! we started the process in february!

Thanks everyone for the help! I am very nervous about what is going on!

I never received a packet from NVC, all I got was my interview date letter, so not sure what packet they're referring to

I am so glad you were approved and certificate work. My spouse interview is coming up September 28, 2017.  Other than the police certificate what other documents they requested for you to show. how  many days it took to get your visa on DHL

All they asked for was the police certificate, birth certificate, and marriage certificate and if I had DACA. My interview was on a Friday, I flew out to Sinaloa to be with family, and by the following Friday, I had my visa in my hand, so 1 week

I got it and sent to NVC already as of August 2017 but I'm worried once they send us to interview, do we have to get another updated one then?

Oh, you should be fine then. As long as you have it

that's a good question cause I figure its a good 3-4 months by the time the interview comes

I saw people getting approved recently and only had the state police record, i believe you don't need federal

They technically ask you for the state, it was just easier for me to get the federal

Hey please let me know once you receive your packet. My wife has her interview tomorrow and it would be great to get an idea of how long it takes. Thank you!

If She waits for it in Juarez she'll probably have it before I do. I didn't wait there. They were telling people that wait in Juarez 3-5 days, they told me 1-2 weeks

My husband had waiver approved had his interview in Juarez on 8/30 and was approved. He was told that we would receive a DHL tracking number via email, but we haven't received anything. He's in Durango Mx right now and super anxious to get home. we've checked the ais.usvisa-info website for this tracking number but there's nothing there only a link to CEAC which states his visa issued and printed and mailed out via DHL.  How long does it normally take to receive the packet or at least the tracking number?

How long did it take to get his packet? I just had my interview yesterday and I'm already anxious!

Yay!!! So i hate to bug you but what kind of questions were asked and what kind of papers did they ask you for?

Not too many questions. Just: who petitioned you? Do you have kids together? Is he here or in the US right now? When did u enter the country? Do you have DACA?

    that was it!

I think the police report is the most asked about about thing for Mexico cases, and the answers always differ as well.

They accepted my federal police certificate.

So based off the documents on the us consulate in cuidad Juarez they are asking for state police certificate ... you can find out who processes these by searching your fiscalía general for your appropriate state. E.i fiscalía del estado de jalisco .. there I searched carta de antecedentes penales and it led me to the right location.

the Mexican consulate in the US has also provided the locations as to where you can obtain your police certificate based on the state and provide services for you to send your fingerprints over to anyone in Mexico so that they can request them there.

I have a family member who just got approved today and he followed these steps

    I hope this helps!

Oh no, that makes me worried as I don't have the state one

Is federal needed as well or just local?

I believe only 1 is ok, I'll let u know Friday after my interview

May i ask after you sent your ds-260 and all paperwork how long did it take you to get an appointment?

I don't even remember when I sent it in, must have been like a year ago. I know I got my waiver approval in December and got my appointment in August
