    Congratulations.

    We are London embassy too.

    Sd 10 April.

    C.c. 20 April

    Interview 20 June

Did you get an email? Cause I haven't received any email for interview or cc. I called them and got the cc date and then interview date. But no email so far.

Congratulations to you too! We haven't received the email yet. When I called today, they told me that the date was assigned on 26April and that an email letter was sent to us today. He said sometimes the emails don't process until the end of the day so we should get something tonight. Hopefully they assigned yours at the same time, so you should expect an email soon as well! Let the countdown begin!

I got my case number and Invoice ID today but when I enter the info on NVC to choose an agent then I get this message:

"Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please contact the National Visa Center if you believe that you have received this message in error. "

Do I need to worry about this or is this just a default message before DS-261 is available?

No need to worry, this message is normal. Give it a few days and then you should be able to log in.

Of course! It was my husband who did the interview but I'll tell you what all he told me about it. His interview was scheduled for 10:30 AM, he got there at 10:10 and was out by 10:45 lol, he said it was super quick and easy. We were nervous before just because it was finally the last step but he said it was absolutely nothing to worry about, it felt like more of a formality to him then anything. They only asked him 3 questions 1. How we met 2. Where I live now 3. What I do for a job. He brought a ton of documents with him that were all listed on what to bring to the interview but the only documents they looked at for him were the DS-260 confirmation page, our marriage certificate, the police certificate, and then my most recent tax return (it was the day after tax day so they wanted to see my updated one for 2017). He said it was very very easy and well organized and the people he talked to were very nice. I didn't attend the interview with him but I think you can bring people with you, they just have to stay in a waiting area or something (I'd double check that though, I think I remember reading that about the London embassy but can't remember where).

From what my husband told me you have nothing to worry about it with it! Let me know if you have any other questions, good luck!!

Thank you so much! You have put my mind at ease. Congratulations :)

Hey we're in the same situation! My husband had his interview in London last Wednesday and our status on CEAC changed to issued Friday as well. Sorry I don't have any answers, I'm wondering the same thing. Hopefully they both get them back in the next day or two, good luck!! :)

Hi Madison! Could you tell me a little more about your experience at the London embassy? We are waiting for the date for my husband's interview, but I am just curious because I haven't heard much about London. What kind of questions did they ask? Was anyone allowed in the embassy with you?

    Thanks in advance!

I see , alright . Thank you for your quick response. Because I mailed them AOS and IV package 2 days ago via dhl and they got it yesterday this time .

Thank you , this is the hardest time while you are waiting .

It's usually 2-3 business days to scan. But the post above is correct, they don't call it a "Scan Date." If you call and they tell you that it is under review from a certain date, that is your scan date.

I was just wondering if anyone could tell me:

    1. Do I need to include my W2s if I'm using IRS tax transcripts? I've heard conflicting things..

    2. As I've said before, we have all forms & fees completed, except for mailing our AOS/IV packet because we're still waiting on his new police certificate in the mail hopefully any day.. (at this point of already paying & waiting for the new police certificate, we figure we might as wel hang on and include the new one any day rather than send the old and have a chance of waiting longer if they do ask for a more recent one)

So, I was wondering if anyone has a guess of how long we may have to wait for a CC after I mail our packet? Considering they can't even review our DS-260 until they get our packet either, and assuming it takes 2-3 days to get to them in the mail.

Thank you for any thoughts on this..I'm so ready and it's really making my antsy that time is just wasting away when I could've had this mailed ahead of time if not for this agonizing wait for an additional police certificate we shouldn't have even needed..

    Hi there -

I included the W2s in addition to the tax transcript, but I do not think it was required. I included just in case.

Your DS-260 must be complete before they will scan and review your documents. It took 2 business days for them to scan my documents and I got a CC (12April) in just 7 business days (Scan Date 03Apr). If everything is in order, they are completing the review pretty quickly right now.

    Hope that helps!

    Just Got approved

    P.D 10 oct 2017

    Approved on 9 ApriL 2018

    Texas center

    So whats next guys?

A helpful link that will give you a really good process overview: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

I also came from Texas Service Center and they take quite a while to actually send the document approval to the NVC. So, unfortunately you have some additional waiting to do. You will see your USCIS case status change to indicate when the documents are actually sent. And then you need to allow 1-2 weeks before calling NVC to see if they received the documents. Reading this wiki page definitely helped prepare me for the process though!

the address section for the petitioner is too small. it is in the middle east and i need at least 2 lines to fit it other than the city and country.

    thanks in advance

Hi Muhammad - I also used the I-864EZ and filled out as much as I could on the PDF form before printing and completing. When I did that, it automatically populated that field in Part 9. I can confirm it should be the petitioners information. And just make sure you "N/A" any section you do not need, even if it seems excessive! Good luck!

I submitted the ds261 this morning and just now called to have it reviewed over the phone.  The lady was very nice who I spoke to. She said she is surprised how people get to fill the ds261 before they sent out the instructions.  She said I have to  wait for the instructions!  What do you guys think?

I have seen this before. They won't review the DS-261 until you receive the welcome email. Don't worry though, it won't delay you at all since I assume none of the fees have unlocked  yet? As soon as you receive the welcome email, you can call and have the DS-261 reviewed over the phone.

Idk hun I am not a tax preparer I went to a professional tax office and I went to others and they all gave the same answer.I leave everything in the hands of the lord.

I am not sure all tax "professionals" know what they are doing especially when it comes to immigration cases :) I was instructed to file as Married filing separately, but because my husband does not yet have a SSN or ITIN I had to file by mail. They told me I could amend at a later date once he has a SSN and receive the credit then. I think as long as you are honest in the interview, everything will be fine!

    Finally an update! 🤗

received at NVC on Feb 12

    Case number assigned March 12

case wasn’t available online until March 20. I logged in this morning and paid the AOS fee. We received the welcome letter today via email. Waiting for AOS fee to say “paid” so that I can complete I-864, and send in package. We are almost done.

Going to visit hubby next week ❤️

Hi There - Congrats on movement on your case! A recommendation (learning from my mistake...), make sure you call and have your DS-261 reviewed on the phone! Our was marked "Complete" and our AOS fee opened up and got marked paid within a couple of days. However, when the IV fee hadn't unlocked 5 days later I called to ask why and they said it was because my DS-261 had not yet been reviewed! I made the mistake of assuming that because my AOS fee was available that it was approved... it was not. So, if you haven't yet, give them a call to get this reviewed!

I got the case numbers but later realised I didn't ask for the invoice numbers. I will call back today and ask.  Is that how it's done and did people get both case number and invoice number at the same time?

That's normal! I am just a couple weeks ahead of you. It took about a week from me verbally getting my case number and invoice number for me to be able to log onto the website. A recommendation (learned from a failure on my part...), once you are able to fill out the DS-261, call the next day and have them review it on the phone. I didn't do this because it said "Complete" and my AOS fee unlocked. However, I waited an extra week and my IV fee didn't unlock, so I called and they said it was because the DS-261 was not yet approved. Just because it was "Complete" didn't mean it had been reviewed. I lost probably about 5 days of time because of this :/ Congrats on case number! I know getting mine just made us feel excited to get things moving again.

Hi! Sorry for asking, when did you get approved and when NVC received your petition?

No problem at all. I just made sure my timeline was up to date but details:

    NOA2: 04Jan

    Sent to NVC: 31Jan

    Received at NVC: 07Feb

    Case # Assigned: 06Mar

Able to sign into portal and submit DS-261: 14Mar

AOS Fee Unlocked and Paid: 15Mar

So, it's been a longer than anticipated process. Just happy that we have some actions finally!
