(603) 334-0700. Customer Service Representatives can speak with you Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight EST, excluding holidays.
You should ask if they have A received your case and B) allocated a case number. for me, these both occurred at the same time. for others, their case is received and allocated a case number on different dates (often 2-3 days apart)
I cannot thank you enough! We will try calling this week. Have a great weekend!

You need to call NVC for a case number. Then, you can track where your case is with the CEAC tracker: https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx
Thank you so much! Do you also know which number to call? We are going to call tomorrow to figure out. Thank you for your time again @Melodica256

Hello VJ friends!
How do you figure out when your case has been received/left NVC? I know you can figure it out by calling NVC but do they update your USCIS tracker too?
Our NOA2 date was 12/5/2017. So I wonder what is going on with our case right now.
Thank you!

I received an RFE on 10/31, I sent my reply and it was Received at the service center on 11/16 It has been 18 days and I still have not heard anything. Ridiculous!
It is redicilous! Hope you get approved tomorrow or this week. Looks like it’ll also take so long to receive a NVC # after approval.... I am so done with this so my fiancée and I just decided to spend the New Years and whole January together! We’re just done being stressed out 😂😂 It’s been just too long and this is stupid!! Lol

Question for people who got RFE! After you resubmitted more documentation to USCIS, how did you get your approval notification? Just curious

Congratulations, I am still waiting since on my RFE, they received my response 14 days ago. Maybe because of the Holiday, but I have not heard anything yet. hopefully soon!
Did you call USCIS to check after submitting RFE??

So I hope it is just another week to our 182 days 🙄
Our timelines are so similar! What do they request to submit as RFE? My fiancée sent our response to USCIS today with express shipping too. Let us know when you get approved!!

Gotcha! Yeah, they just need to see that you were in the same country at the same time since pictures are secondary evidence.
Yea I guess we needed to send his Military Order in the first place but still lucky it’s an easy fix Hope you do not get RFE. Praying for everyone ❤️

Did you send in your passport stamps to show you in the the country when the pictures were taken? My pictures aren’t date stamped either as they were taken with an iPhone camera.
Hi! The pics we sent didn’t have dates either. Our chat history had dates so we thought it was enough to prove we met in 2 years, but USCIS didn’t believe it 😅
I did not send my passport bio page or stamp pages in our initial packet because my fiancée (petitioner) is military personnel, was stationed in Japan and we met in Japan. USCIS requested us to submit my passport bio/stamp page, airline tickets/receipt or his Military order. In our case, my fiancées Military oder applies. And we are also sending some pics with dates and locations shown on photos we took on our iPhones. I’m sorry if this confused you more. If you have questions let me know!

From what I've seen in the scans, after they received it and depending on the nature of the rfe it takes 1-3 weeks. But I also saw some approved right away.
Thank you for the info!! We only got proof of us met in two years because the pictures we sent did not have the dates stamped. We prepared more proofs ready tonight and mailing it back tomorrow. Do you also happen to know how long it takes for people who only got meeting in 2 yrs documentation? Any other info helps. Thank you very much!

My fiancé just received our RFE hard copy today. We are sending an additional evidence back tomorrow! But do you guys know how long does it take until an approval in average!? I know some of you were talking about this earlier but can’t find the page anymore... Thank you!

Hello May filers!
Tier 2 just called my fiancé this morning and we figured out that we got either approval or rfe on Monday and hard copy was mailed out on the same day...lol The officer had a very strong accent and were using all the codes, so my fiancé was confused (he doesn’t stalk this website so doesn’t know what NOA or RFE means..!) and did not really understand what the officer said. But my fiancé thinks the officer said we needed more documents, so it’s probably rfe. No website update yet and we are May 18 filer! Pretty sure it’s rfe but part of me is still hoping it’s a NOA2 lol

Hi Guys,
HELP!! I got my RFE letter in the mail today. I basically forgot to answer a question (FML!!!)
The 3 page RFE package includes the page from my application with the missed question number circled in Red.
Instructions: "Complete the item(s) circled in red on the attached copy of the petition and return with your signature and date."
Now, my question is where do I sign and date on the page? At the bottom of the page? There is no space available next to the question. Also is it as simple as mailing this 3 page package back in the provided envelope?
Did you receive the hard copy before your online status got updated!? I am sorry to bother you I just cannot open your timeline page...
May 2017 I-129F Filers, Part III
in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports
Posted
Hello everyone!!
I am trying to fill i-485 out and have a couple of questions.
#1 The very first part, my current legal name: I got married with K1 visa but have not done anything to legally change my last name. Should I just put my birth name here or my husband's last name? VJ i-485 page says to "use the non US Citizen spouse's married name on this form and list previous name/names" but I don't know if i am understanding this sentence. AND I am willing to change my last name to my husbands' name completely legally
#2 I need to provide my address history of the past 5 years, but I have a question about this part.
So i came to the US with K1 visa which is NON-immigrant visa, so my current address should be the place I lived before coming to the U.S?
It has been a long time since the last time i came to this page, I apologize if anyone already asked these questions but somebody please help!
