The 6 months most likely is the i130 approval. After that the case will go through Nvc, which will add a few more months then when finished there goes to the embassy and a few more months til finally visa in hand if approved.
if you think 6 months is too much, you're in it for disappointment
learn from the beginning that nothing about immigration is fast and you need lots of patience or else you're going to lose your mind
Thanks soo much... points taken

Pretty odd.

There is nothing you can do. You might be lucky or not and wait around a year like thousands of others. Be patient.
Thanks much

Spousal visa process takes 12-14 months from filing till interview. There can also be AP (extra name/ security/ relationship checks) after that.
If someone reports 6 months, they either mean for I-130 approval (which is only the first part of a three stage process), or they filed DCF (directly with the embassy, only possible in some countries, and only if the US spouse lives abroad with the beneficiary)
Expedite is only granted in some very rare circumstances, such as military deployment of the US spouse, or extremely serious medical condition. The best you can do is prepare well for the process, so you don't make any mistakes which cause RFE/ delays. For example, as your pouse comes from a high fraud country, you will want to front load- ie send in as much relationship evidence at the beginning and the NVC stage as you can, so the consular officer reads it before the interview. Also, visit as often and as long as you can, and show that at interview.
Hmm. Thank you very much. Points taken

my case was at Potomac my PD is January 31st and my case it as NVC since July 5th. I was approved within 140 days. So do not believe the charts, Potomac should be processing Feb at the moment.
Thank you very much that was much needed! !! I don't believe mine will be 1 year. Mine will be within 6 months. Cos that's my faith. I can't be away from my wife any longer. And congrats on your approval

My wife just arrived in the US in late June. It takes about a year. Sorry, but we all have had to endure the hardship of being away from our loved ones.
Oh dear! I have to look for ways to see her. Besides which country is your wife from?

Looking at the may folks who filed for the i130. Do we have like an estimated time the general process will be complete?

NOA1 is the priority date on your Notice Letter that was mailed to you few days after your Petition was received by USCIS while the NOA2 is the Notice Letter for your approval(2nd letter you will receive in the mail from USCIS)&the end of the USCIS stage
Thanks a million! Bless you.

Not without access to a time machine.
The average processing time for an IR-1/CR-1 is around a year.
Well a few people I also met on line had theirs in 6months. Someone I also know personally had his in 6 months. Well thanks but am hoping for a faster time.
