Sorry, I feel you we've all been there, but I wouldnt expect anything until you reach 4 months after the receipt notice, that is the average for most people and for some it could go until 6 months,

If you have done your biometrics already, you can start applying and looking for jobs and try to use an offer letter try to expedite for financial reasons.

    Good luck

Thank you for this! Ill try to do this one. Hopefully it works.

hi there! glad to hear you are close to the end of your K1 journey. the POE process in AUH is pretty straightforward. Make sure you arrive to the airport early. i got there 4 hours before my flight so there was plenty of time to go through security etc. the CBP officer was pretty nice and just asked me basic questions - nothing you cannot answer if you have a genuine relationship with your petitioner so don't worry to much. don't bring food because it's not allowed.

Hey thanks! So upon arrival at airport, ill go first to CBP with all my things? Or should I check in first? And at the CBP, Ill just bring the yellow packet?are they asking for pictures or something because i kept the whole k1 packet at my check in luggae cz its quite heavy and wont fit in my hand carry. Plus, are they strict on hand carry baggage allowance cz mine is around 8. Something kgs. So im really nervous. Thaaanks

hi guys, anybody out there with experience using Abu Dhabi as their POE?

I am going to be using Abu Dhabi airport soon as my POE and I am entering on a K1 visa. I am just wondering how long does the CBP take to "process" k1 entrants there? how early should i plan to arrive at the airport?

any advise would be appreciated. thanks!

    Hi

I saw your post that you used Etihad airways and AUH as POE.

Ill be flying with Etihad flight EY131 next week and my POE is Abu Dhabi also, can you please help me what to do after I arrive at the airport, when to check in, what to bring and stuff, I called Etihad and they were asking 8 digit numbers for the preclearance, what is that? Im so confused. Hope you could help me Thank you!!!

Abu Dhabi has pre-clearance. You check in first, then go through pre-clearance. You should always allow at least three hours for an international flight. So aim to be there at 7 at the latest. Check the airport website for any airport-specific instructions.

im entering through k1, do I need to bring anything at the pre clearance? or just the yellow visa packet?

Did you receive a packet 3 before scheduling your interview?

Or did you just schedule the interview yourself?

It's been 5 weeks since consulate received our application but still no packet 3 for us . The wait is frustrating to be honest 😞

Hi the wait for the p3 is really frustrating! Hang on & youll get yours too. I waited over 5 weeks for my p3 also from my status was "ready".

@kokokrunch Hi, You're lucky they replied to you that your file is with them.  Just need to wait for packet 3, while waiting prepare for the interview requirements/documents.  Hope your packet 3 will come very soon!!!☺️ Just let us know when you receive.  It's worth waiting😊

Yes thats atleast a relief that they have it with them. Im just getting confused which appointment availability theyre talking about since theres a lot of available slots? 😕

Btw, my fiance sent them an email this morning also and they replied with almost the same thought that our file is with them and once theres available appointment theyll send the packet 3. I hope it wont take long for them to have the appointment availability that only them knows. 😕 Definitely be updating everyone once i get the p3.

Hey @kokokrunch ... I received the same email reply from them. Some members scheduled and appeared on the visa appointment but got turned away. Thus I waited for my packet 3 first before scheduling the appointment. Let's hope your packet 3 arrives before your interview.

How many days did you get the packet 3 after you have received that same email? Yes im really hoping 😕

@kokokrunch Hi, did you checked your CEAC status if it's READY ?  If it's not ready yet, then maybe this is the reason why they sent this to you. Coz they will send only the packet 3 when your status is READY.  Even if you booked your appointment, you need to wait for your packet 3.  You can reschedule your appointment prior to the appointment date you set before (you need to calculate how much longer they will send) and make sure that packet 3 was received by your Petitioner or you by EMAIL.  Always check your email and petitioner's email.  Sender is ABUDHABI IV.

In my case, as soon as I saw CEAC status is READY, I asked my Petitioner-Fiance to email USEM and attached the screenshot of READY status with the CASE NO.  Next day, we received our packet 3 which was sent to us since 11 January (7 months passed). Not sure if my Fiance unintentionally deleted coz he's not aware of the AbuDhabi IV.

It actually has been ready for almost a month now at CEAC 😕

  9. hi did anyone of you got a response from USEM abu dhabi that goes:

We have received your case electronically form NVC but unfortunately there is no space available for local scheduling. As soon as there is space we will contact you and send you the information about how to proceed with your case.

I really dont know what to do now since I had emphasized to my email that I already booked the appt and I was requesting fot the packet 3. but they replied with that im really confused

  10. hi good day.

@Lezaht Yes - it is completely fine to have only ONE letter of intent to marry. We did it this way, we wrote one letter, then both signed it below and we received our NOA2 approval without any issues and zero RFE''s. Hope this helps! Best of luck! :)

hi do you have a sample of letter of intent to marry which is addressed to USEM abu dhabi? thaaanks!
