ok i know it's gonna be deleted but REALLY ?  are you serious ? it keeps surprising me how lazy people are. all you need to do it's read, whatever people said and try to understand it. move back few pages, you have all the answers over there. except this last one. this question is just stupid...

WOOOOOOOOOOW. How rude. But sometimes I think the same :jest:

  2. I was awakened by a bunch of text messages from USCIS at 6 am. And here it is! After almost 5 years since the day I filed my I-485, non-seeing my family all these years, endless fear to have problems because of 3-hours stoke interview we had, after many sleepless night and axiety, it's finally over. If only you knew what a relief! Thank you everyone here for your support here because this forum was really helpful. Good luck to everyone who's waiting. You'll get it very soon!

I travelled back to US yesterday and was told "Everytime you travel back with 551 stamp, you have to go through secondary" and spent about 3.5 hours in secondary check before being cleared to enter the US. No additional questions asked, but the whole experience was a tad intimidating as they dont explain the process, dont say how long it will take, just take your passport and tell you to wait and you cannot use your phone. So to wait that long after an extremely long flight in most scenarios, can throw people off the top (Saw a couple people faint in the room).

Not sure if others travelled with 551 recently, similar experience?

That's why I do not travel before getting my 10 years GC. 99% you will go through with no issue but there's always 1% they will turn you down  and make it a nightmare.

So, I have a question. Which one is the NOA date.

I have I-797, Notice of Action on which says Recipt Date: 9/30/2916. On this one it says that my conditional resident status is extended for a period of one year.

The second one one is I-797C, Notice of Action on which says Notice Date 10/21/2016. On this one it says that is Apointment Notice for the biometrics.

    My biometrics date was 11/08/2016

So, which date I should count as my NOA date?

9/30 is your NOA date, the date when your application was accepted.

Hi! Does anyone know what makes an I-751 case outside the normal processing time? My online case status says it was received on August 25, 2016 and the USCIS processing time table says August 20(CSC) but looks like lots of people here got their cases approved even after this date. Would it be okay to file an e-Request in my situation? N400 filed pretty recently after I learned the fact that this can help, and solid evidence documents(lease contracts with our names on it, joint tax filing, our paychecks since we started working together at the same company about a year ago)

I'm starting to become impatient because many other things depend on this.. I can't renew my passport(and because of this I can't get my I-551 stamp either) and can't postpone my mandatory military service duty without the new GC, which would soon make me a criminal in case of failure to submit new evidence of my immigration status x.x

Is there anyone here who's still waiting and not expecting an RFE?

You can't file e-Request unless they update their processing times. I am sure they will very soon, just wait for few days.

    Hello,

Very excited to see of all the approvals recently. I inquired about our case status as I believed it was outside of normal processing time and we just received an RFE - Request for Evidence to prove that we entered into a Good Faith Marriage. Has anyone else received something like this? I'm stressing out because we have sent in so much proof and documentation already and I'm concerned that they are still requesting more. We don't own any property and don't share our bank accounts as there has never been a need to. We do frequently transfer money to and from each of our accounts to each other if money is ever needed, but we aren't actually listed on each others accounts.

Can anyone else give me any feedback as to how their process went if they got an RFE?

    Thanks so much!

You want to provide everything you have since the date of last filing. You may want to ask your friends to write affidavits (if not filed before) since it can be very helpful in case you don't have much proofs. I would also write a letter explaining why you don't have this and that. We also lacked in evidence since we find it too conservative to have a joint account. etc., and we consider  inappropriate doing all these things for the sole purpose of following USCIS check points. Also we are too young to buy a house, or car and we were going through financial hardship that did not let us to hire an attorney. We described all the circumstances and our opinion in the official letter underlying due respect to the immigration law. We were honest and open  and, I guess, this worked out since our I-485 was approved after the stoke interview.

Hey guys . I am about to fill out change of address form online on Uscis website. It asks for the receipt number. We have two receipt numbers right? One on NOA and one On biometrics ( the one which we use for tracking our case). Which one shall i put on address change form online? please help. Thanks!

There's only one main number, the one which you use when checking your status online. Try both and see which one will return your status.
