OK let's not confuse OP with subtle responses although technically correct.
Leaving while AP is processing is a bad idea as the act of LEAVING will be considered abandoning the i-485 petition. Wait until you receive your AP card. Once you receive the notification that the card is in production, you may be safe to schedule travel for 10 days later or so, but safest is to have it in hand. 

I would take both the passport (for admission stamps) and the ticket. Nothing else I can think of. 

Just added mine once more. I will give it a day before someone deletes it again. 

I know, its really nice knowing the Oath date as soon as you pass. Takes the extra waiting out of it and its such a relief. 
 
And I know! You know, I knew I had nothing to really worry about because I dont really have anything bad in my record..but you never know with the govt ya know? Also, just so much in my life at this moment was dependent on me getting through this. I am SO GLAD this is going to be over soon and I can do other important things I need to

Had my interview today in the morning. I was called in exactly at the time of my interview and was out ten minutes later. 

I WAS APPROVED!
 
Here are some details: 
 
- Called in and greeted by a very nice and friendly lady. Took me to her office and straightway put me in oath. I sat down and let her know in advance that I do have a couple of coinages in need to make. Only asked to see my passport and greencard. 
 
- She started with reviewing the application with me and went through it pretty quickly although it seemed like she did touch almost all of the questions. I had a couple of changes ( traffic speeding tickets I hadn't declared) and one other minor thing. She appreciated the fact that I had already prepared and printed updated pages and was thankful when I produced them. 
 
- Made me sign the N-400 twice and moved quickly to the english test. 
                Reading: Who passes laws
                Writing: Congress passes laws
    No issues there. 
 
- Moved quickly to the civics and history:
        * Who wrote the deceleration of independence
        * Commander in chief of the army
        * Two major political parties
        * Party of the president. 
        * Three original states
        *State bordering Canada. 
   She stopped when I got first 6 right. 
 
After that she congratulated me and let me know I passes history, civics, and English test. Ans she said congratulation that my application is being recommended for approval!
 
Went in another office and printed me a letter for October 20th oath ceremony. Sucks that the ceremony in September was full but oh well, it doesn't matter. 

So yeah, that was it guys, thank you for your support

My appointment was at exact same time and exactly the same questions in same order (I think) were asked of me! Really cool  

Thank you! I know, I'm thankful they do that. Althought it doesnt look like the other official USCIS letters, its hand written date lol
 
Also, I am assuming youre further delayed due to flooding and hurricanes? I hope youre safe and get the letter asap!

I think there's a minimum income below which you don't have to file a return.

Rubya, I really don't want to say that you always worry too much. What are you afraid of? Why you are always in stress and give that negative energy to other people?

So what I have is the tax I have filled yesterday with copies of cashier checks as payments. Think that should be ok ?

I received an email yesterday that says I'm now placed in line for my oath ceremony and that they will send me a notice with the date, time, and location.  Can't wait!

Waiting and genuinely curious where you are getting this info from. Every website I have seen (including IRS) says that you are not required to file tax return if you made below certain amount. 

If you can prove that you did not need to file taxes for those years, it won't be a big deal, just explain and show the interviewer your documents.
If you can't prove it, or you did need to file taxes for those years---it will be a huge deal to the IO.

Asking about whether you have joint bills or children or not wasn't me being "personal"...it is because normally the birth of a child is a pretty good way of showing proof of a bonafide marriage.  Same with joint bills.
 
It's hard to suggest what may or may not work in your situation regarding documents without garnering some information.
