My son called nvc just now but they are closed?  Anybody knows why? Says to call back on the next working day. 

What age is considered elderly?  We are in our early  40s and 50s. Will that be high too? Sorry for interrupting in your post.

Yes. Cause mine was approved 31st Jan and online status still says case received

PD is 4/24 and RFE on 12/5. They have asked for my parents marriage certificate and her birth certificate because I forgot to fill out the section for other names used and they want to make sure her maiden name was the one listed in my birth certificate and her current married name is the same person.

Don't worry about the case status online.  They don't update it always.  Congratulations!

That is a wait of 243 days between NOA1 and NOA2 arriving in the post)

Now to bug the NVC/DOS everyday until they assign a case number to my petition.

The online approval might take a bit longer to update. Try not to worry about that. Start compiling all of your documents for the NVC so when you get the number you can submit them right away. You as the beneficiary can start calling the NVC in a couple weeks. Once you have a case and invoice number you can start the NVC process.

Uscis  still says case received. I doubt they will update it

So happy today my son received our approval letters. We were approved on the 31st.uscis still says case received.  Thank God!!!!! It's such a good feeling!!! You all have been such a good support.  Thank you to each one of you and good luck to all those waiting.  Plz guide me for the next steps.  The letter says approved and below it says they have sent to nvc. What should we do next!!!

Same here. The 2 after ours were sent rfe on the 25th and the one before us was sent to dos yesterday. Some more before and after ours are already approved.  

When this week started I was hopeful I will get approval this week. Now it will be weekend again.

Plz pray for our approval.  I m losing my  sanity.  Especially when people with pd of end of June are getting approvals! 

Today exactly 8 months since our pd 2nd June. Still waiting. So  many June filers have been approved.  It's very depressing.
