Great to hear you got your letter! My husband had his interview today and they didn't ask him for anything. Only the required stuff, drivers license, GC and passport.
nice! I'm assuming he passed flawlessly, Congratulations! how was his overall interview experience?

Congrats!! Did you get your status online updated too or just got the letter in the mail?
Thanks! My status updated on the 4th and just got the letter today so it came pretty fast

Got my interview letter! My interview is May 9th!
filed June 2017 and had fingerprints July 2017!
any interview hints that you guys can share? I’m gonna bring my tax returns, interview letter, green card, social security card, drivers license...anything else?

Fingerprint was done in June 2017 but case status never change. Called USCIS many times and had infopass, nobody say background check, just let me wait
I filled out my application june 2017, had my fingerprints in July, I was just scheduled for interview this week. when you call USCIS you should ask if they received your fingerprints and if they were completed.

Any Chicago filer in March, April, May or June 2017 is still pending in fingerprint app scheduled as me?
you still haven't had your fingerprints taken since that time? that's definitely not right, you need to call USCIS and find out what's going on.

He doesn't think too much about it. I think I'm more nervous and just want everything done. It's been over 10 months since he applied so it's been pending forever.
He he is taking photos with him (if not used he will use it for passport, just his GC, kids birth certificate, copy of my passport, tax transcripts. I think that's it. He applied under 5 yr rule so it's not paperwork heavy.
Im pretty sure he will dress business casual. Don't be too nervous or over think it. It will be fine.
Hmm maybe I should bring passport photos too just in case then, did he get a checklist with his letter and did it say to bring photos?

Thanks for your input! My husband is interviewing April 11th.
Oh boy getting close, is he nervous?
what is he bringing with him document wise?
i hear some people even bring photos but someone told me that’s no longer required I dont know much about the interview such as dress code (I’m guessing business casual) do you shake the agent’s hand or wait and see if they do first? I wanna know everything lol

Quick question for anyone who has already interviewed, did you take tax transcripts with you? Did they ask for them during the interview? This is for 5 year application.
My mom became a USC in 2014 (or 2015, can’t remember) she brought tax transcripts with her just in case but the agent did not ask for them. I’ve heard cases where they might want them or not, I would bring them with you just in case. I know I will, better safe than sorry in my opinion
thanks for answering my question above when’s your interview?
-
does anyone know how long usually it is from when you are scheduled for your interview to when it actually is in Chicago? I got scheduled April 2nd (2 days ago) but we are going out of the state on May 16th, I obviously don't wanna miss my appointment so that's why I would love to know. Hopefully, I receive my letter in the next few days.

Good luck!

Does anyone have any pro tips? Do I shake the interviewer’s hand or wait and see if they do first? I’m guessing dress pro casual and bring documents they ask for on the letter?

When did you apply for n400?
Originally I said mid June but after checking it was more end of June. It says they received my application July 4th

I genuinely can not wait for @zinger and @agrzybianek to post on here that their interviews have been scheduled lol. That way we will know, June filers in Chicago are almost done with getting interviews. I'm getting very frustrated by this wait.
Thanks, hopefully I get it soon
i wonder if it matters what country you are from since I know a may filer that hasn’t gotten their interview yet

Sep-2017 paper filer here. Interview is scheduled for 4th April.
I wasn't expecting it for another couple of months, so it is a pleasant surprise.
that proves my theory that they just pull random applications and process them lol, Congrats!

I think the wait is getting shorter for us Chicago filers. It took only about a month to go from April filers to may filers; on the other hand, it definitely took longer to go from march to April filers. So I think @agrzybianek should hear back from them soon since you applied late June.
Hope so my wife and I are going on Vacation may 16th-29th we are hoping that I either get my interview before or after. would hate to have to reschedule our vacation

Applied end of June 2017 by paper. I've been in line since July 31st

This is confusing for inquiry date thing!!!
I mean up to 15.5 months? seems like the wait gets slower and slower by the month, doesn't it?
-
did anyone else see the new site for processing times USCIS is using now?
https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/#mainContent
it says "case inquiry date - december 2016"
what does that mean exactly?

hey everyone, a quick question about my N400 application:
as many of you know I am currently awaiting my N400 interview. since I have never had any traffic tickets or anything like that I have not had to include any of that in my application. yesterday as I was driving home from work some guy rolled into my car at a red light (his foot slipped off his brake) since it was a truck it cracked my bumper so we called the police to write a report. Obviously, since it was not my fault I was not ticketed or anything like that but the other driver was. he has a court date for that ticket and the police officer said that if I do not want him to get a ticket I don't have to show up for the court date (his ticket will be dismissed) that is currently my plan unless my insurance company asks me to go to complete my claim.
my question is: since this technically is a court date, do I have to tell my interviewing officer about this when I go for my interview? what if I end up not going to the court date since I do not have to if I do not want to. if I don't go should I still bring it up at my interview?
thanks!

Yes I think but if you are from Poland then it's ok
from what I understand they get a ton of applications from Poland so that could be a factor, no clue
