I’m just hoping it has nothing to do with my local office otherwise it might be coming in two years like the GC,😭

and San Francisco is not accepting info pass for anything except urgencies for AP, basically you have nowhere to turn to if your cases fallen behide the desk, stressful!

I’m from San Francisco as well.. we were hoping to travel overseas in February, we hope to get the AP soon!

Hey guys, I’m a bit confusing here coz I went to the DMV office to apply DL here in California and they told me I’m not eligible coz my I-94 is expired,  unless I have a EAD or green card,  is this the same requirement as yours? Do I have another option to get a driving license or permit or whatever it is to drive legally at the moment?

Yes, we were at the DMV in the Bay Area and was told we couldn’t use the I-94 as it had less than 30 days to expiration. I was told to wait for the EAD or Green card, was told the same thing at the SSN office when we went to change my wife’s last name. So my wife just uses her passport for everything until we get the green card

Hello Guys! Question! My fiancee interview is scheduled for Feb 28. I want to know we're any of u required to show chat logs or phone call history?? Our chat long is over 1867 pages in word!!! Also did u need to show recent pictures other than the ones originally submitted??

Please advise? And thank u a million for all your help and support

Per my fiancé,the consul at the Manila embassy did not ask for chat logs (though she had 500 pages printed), just asked for photos. We had a ton of photos since I’ve made 4 trips to visit her within the past year

I had an interview today, but couldn’t get approved because didn’t submit my fiancé’s tax return.

He sent an email with his tax return of 2016, 2017 to Tokyo embassy I went today. I want to send them “paper” of them just in case, but 2016 one is 116 pages, need all? Hope they accept just it’s by email... and they said we might need joint support... 80 man yen doesn't seem enough for us, they said need to see.

I’m so depressed now, I should have bring proof of my savings...!! I already booked flight and wedding in 2 weeks and a couple of days..ahh

I only provided the 1040 form which is the summary of my tax return. That was enough for the Manila embassy, fiancé was approved today

You should be okay for your wedding day! Once you get the NOA2, everything moves faster and is based on how fast you and your fiancé want things to go. Things move much faster after the NOA2.

My wedding date is 12/30/2017 and I'm holding on to faith that we can keep that date although my venue is fully aware about the possibility of our date being changed if necessary. As long as he can get here 2-3 before the wedding, things will be fine.

We're planning for that wedding date as well.. Thought 7.5 months would've been plenty of time to meet that date, but with the way things are going, I'm not too hopeful..

My fiance passport pictures were pretty bad lol and I got EVERYTHING togetber and just asked him to fill I-129, after he sent me the copy.. he explained how we met in those 3 lines...... he's like that 🙄.. and I see that everyone attach a sheet explaning it with details and all. So I'msure it's coming!

I wrote in those 3 lines, a short summary. Provided a bunch of pics and the flight tickets purchased for our upcoming trip together.

Well not to be a downer here....but we are May filers (NOA1 5/15) and our timeline moved again to the negative...we are now Sept. 15 to the 21st. Each week it seems they push us back a week. This is so difficult as my fiancé is from the Philippines and cannot visit the USA without a visitor visa which is nearly impossible to get. I don't understand why so many other countries can visit the USA with just a passport. I guess it is back to the Philippines for another visit...which I don't mind....but I would love her to visit me for a couple of weeks and see her future home.....oh well...hang in there guys, good things come to those who wait (or at least that is what my grandma always said HEE HEE).

my fiance is from the philippines as well. i'll be visiting her in 2 weeks. i feel your pain regarding the tourist visa, but i believe that policy is enforced due to many filipinos overstaying their visas in the US.

Does your offer letter states all the required information? Anyway, I would use a recent one, because that's the main point in the letter of employment, to show the current situation. It's supposed to mention if your position is permanent or temporary and how long you've been working there along other things like, of course, your annual income.

    okay, thank you

IMO, letter of employer is the most relevant piece of information, since that shows the current situation. But, anyway, if they say tax returns, and not transcript specifically, I assume that's the 1040?

I have to say I have everything myself: 1040 + W2 and tax transcripts, and even the amendment from last year's that it took two months to be processed. Good to plan ahead :)

Does the letter from employer have to be recent? or can I use my offer letter from Feb 2016?
