Here's my review!
Had my interview today
And it was approved!Got to the embassy 6am for my 6:45am appointment. At about 6:20am, an officer came to address the crowd and asked the immigrant visa applicants for 6:30, 6:45 and 7am to form a queue with our appointment letter, after that, he asked that our sealed medical reports be opened then we were asked to come in to be checked. Once cleared we moved toward the guy that assigns number, he confirms your name on the appointment list and then ask you to go towards the door to move to the next stage.
We had one more security check before getting into the embassy building.
I got in at about 7:10am and then joined another queue. Waited for about 10mins then it was my turn, so I went to the window. The guy smiled and said good morning, and I responded with a smile also. Then he asked for my appointment letter , after handing that over to him, he asked me to bring out my original certificates ( birth, marriage and police ) and then left to fetch my file. Came back checked the originals, and then returned them back to me, but held on to the original police certificate. He then asked for my passport n two passport photograph. After handing that over, he returned the pictures my husband sent with the application and returned copies of the certificates also. He then asked me to go and that I'd be called soon...
Another wait began.......
After waiting for about 20mins. My name was called to come for finger prints. Did that and went back to my seat.About 5mins later,
The CO called my number,
Walked up to her and she also greeted me with a smile.
And asked me to raise my right hand then she said "you swear that everything in the file is true and correct" and I responded yes. And she was like, then, let's begin but first, I'd need to confirm your prints again. We did that, then the interview started.Who is calling you to the US?
How did you meet?
When?..... Month n year
Why did you marry in Dec.
What type of marriage did you have?
Do you have your wedding pictures here?
May I see them?
So what does your husband do?
Name of the company?
Where is it located?
How often do you speak?
What's the time difference ?
Either of you been married before?
Do you have kids?
Where do you live and have you lived any where else? And then she smiled and said visa approved.
And gave me 3papers
1. Immigrant visa fee
2. Visa collection address
3.pamphlet that states my rights n all as a spouse of a US citizen. And I was done!
In all it was a good experience...
And it seems the COs today were in a really good mood, everyone before me got approved! Except for an elderly woman and its because she didn't have her medical reports yet. -

Wow. So beautiful to see so many of you wishing us good luck today. Thank you so much because it worked. :-) they only asked
"Are you the petitioner" Yes
"Are you living together in France" yes. His response, ok wow.
"Where will you live in.the US.
Answered
"What is your financial situation"
Explained.
He then said to use assets the requirement is much more when you don't have a job.
So I asked, maybe it's 5 times more, he said, I don't know but there is a calculation, I will do it later. If all is well, the passport will arrive in 10 days.
Then we said, we have a joint sponsor if needed, julien clarified that yeah, we have her paperwork.
So then he took it, said. "That's great, no need to calculate now. All is good. Having problems with the computers so you should receive your passport with the visa in 10 business days. Enjoy moving back to the US. :-)
So yay, we're finished!!! Thank you everyone for all of your support. Heading home tonight, will be back online tomorrow to give a better review. Thanks again everyone for your well wishes. Really made me smile.
Have a nice day.
Ps, call the NVC to get your interview dates. Hehehe
JBMG (Julien / Michael) I'm the mg. :-)
Congrats @JBMG

@JBMG I'd have to wait on that,

Hello, you've made it to 8+ weeks, click on the following links to check your IR-1/CR-1 visa case status:
Check My Visa Application StatusDS-260, Online Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration Application
If it says "At NVC" and your AOS information is missing.. Then you most likely have a completed case (CC)... Please call the NVC to confirm.
I've discovered that the processing times may depend on the country you come from. So on our spreadsheet, sort by interview city and see how long cases from your country took to get their CC's.
If your status still reads "Action required: Submit requested documents", you can call the NVC to ask if your case is under review. But honestly, I don't see how this really makes a difference as some people stay in review for 1 day whereas others 14 days+.. And the NVC doesn't always tell you if you're under review.. I would start calling the NVC after normal processing time for your country or after 9 weeks, whatever is later..
Please update the NVC Case Status Spread Sheet - 2017 with your latest status.
-
If you have not received a CC or you are not under review, update your notes.
- "June 26 - Morning - Called, still not under review" (please put date first in your notes).
Here are instructions on how to edit/save the questionnaire.
If you have lost your questionnaire, you can redo it, I'll delete the duplication.

I think it's a good strategy. I personally decided that I would start calling after 9 weeks.. Maybe i was scarred from the USCIS process; calling each month only to hear, we're running behind, just a little bit longer.. Also, i knew from our spreadsheet and forum that even if one made it to the review dept, didn't mean they were going to get a CC right away.. Times varied from 1-2 days to 14+ days...
Def looks like from other cases from Nigeria that it's very possible to have your CC before 9 weeks. You're at day 58.. So from other Nigeria scan dates, you could receive your CC any day now. Wishing you luck.
And the great thing by not calling is that it frees up the lines for those trying to confirm their CC's or receipt of docs, etc..
Did you confirm that you have the correct police certificate? Other cases from Nigeria seemed to have had that problem.. Hope you don't have any problems.
Well, here's hoping to get a CC before 9weeks...
My police certificate actually has 2pages, but sending to NVC is 3pages(the certificate itself and the finger print page) because I needed to scan the finger print page front page n back page.....
Just alil worried abt its expiry date, got it in April and its valid for 3months.......
-
@JBMG Congrats on your CC,
Wishing you a quick interview date.....
well nothing has changed with my case yet, still Submit document........
and like you said, I do not want to raise my hopes calling and getting the 'not yet in Review" Response,....
will wait till nextweek the 9th week
