j217 got a reaction from Tella&T in February 2017 AOS Filers
Hi everyone! and to my fellow Dallas filers in this thread. We got approved on the spot today. God is great! Do not be afraid if your marriage is really true they will see it right away. I have bunch of additional evidence but the officer said he doesn't need to look at them. We just answered the yes or no on the i-485 and was asked about each other's birthday. The officer said we are approved and should just wait for the mail in the next 14 days. Just an advice though. dress in business suit, we got complimented by doing so. Wishing everyone a successful journey!

I was ready for an interview since February 2017, and until yesterday, nothing had changed, but luckily yesterday I got the message that there was an update to my case, whether my case has been scheduled for an interview or is in the line to be scheduled for an interview, (I hope is the first one 🤞🏼) I have to wait until the letter come by mail (stalking the mail since yesterday 👀)
I hope yours change soon!!

I bet! I don't even live two hours away from LA and always wished that for the immigration journey we could've had their processing times instead of San Diego's. I would've not minded having my case processed there and would've gladly driven there for the interview lol
And I know it's tough to wait so long, especially because it seems unfair that the citizenship clock starts ticking not from when you filed for AOS (which I personally think is how it should be) but from when you're Greencard got approved.
But as I said...I wouldn't stress about the new website processing times too much... they are not accurate in my opinion.

Yeah, I know right. I remember when I checked sometime February before the new website was launched the processing time for Dallas was January 4, 2018, I was so excited. Then when the new processing time was launched.. i literally fainted seeing it went back to 2015!

Well, it's over a year now. Just received this message in response to a service request put in 5 months ago. I'm not sure I would personally qualify this as "issue resolved," but ok I guess I'll set myself a calendar reminder for 120 days. . . .
Thank you for contacting USCIS concerning your I-485 application. Below is a summary of what we have found and how the issue has been resolved or additional actions required.
What We Have Done
USCIS has reviewed your Service Request. According to USCIS records, your application is still pending. At this time, we anticipate you should receive a decision or other notice from USCIS within 120 days of this notice. Please be advised that posted processing times are goals based on Field Office averages. These goals are subject to change and can vary from office to office. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by delays in processing.
What You Can Do
If you do not receive a decision or other notice from USCIS by the time specified above, please contact the National Customer Service Center at the phone number below.
In the interim, please remember to renew your employment authorization documents and travel documents within 3-4 months of the expiration date.
USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration applications in a timely manner, efficiently and in the order received. We hope this information is helpful. If we may be of further assistance, please let us know.

It's been a year.. ..OMG! To all of you who are still waiting like me...
I got a response to my SR "Due to workload factors not related to your case, USCIS anticipates a delay in completing your case. USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in the order received and in a timely and efficient manner. We regret any inconvenience that results from delays in processing."
This is just depressing.

Hi everyone
just a quick recap about our case.
same sex couple here our Uscis office is Baltimore Maryland.
so we applied in February but there was a mistake with the papers so it was returned and was received again on end of February .
fingerprinting was a month after then we waited till they assigned our interview on November 16th, the interview went well, all usual questions about how we met and family members names and addresses, nothing out of the ordinary.
the IO told us that we have a strong case and she will try to finish it by same day.
but we didn’t hear from them for 2 whole months so I raised a service request on January 15th and the day after I got the notification that our case was approved ( I don’t think my SR had anything to do with that) and my husband received his actually green card 2 days ago.
hopefully my time line can help someone on here and thank you for all the information you’re sharing.
best,

We went straight from "Finger Print Fee has been received" (from our filing date of 2/3/17) to "Card is being produced" as of today!!! No interview, not a peep! Hallelujah!

Same here! We are in Oakland but will head over to SF to interview the same day on 1/3/18.
The interview document essentially says to bring a laundry list of documents equating to the original application. Sad we can't bring our son to the interview
USCIS also did not update with the interview offer.

Alrighty, we did the interview in Seattle today, everything went well and we were told that unless he finds any questions on final review we should be getting the approval notice within 1-2 weeks. He also mentioned that card production is backed up a bit at the moment and might take as long as 3-4 weeks .
Fingers crossed that the approval is just around the corner. For us it was 10 months to the day from filing to interview...
