I am planning to start the process of a tourist visa  for my mom since it’s been 2 years  that I dont see her so, I want her to visit me while I wait to get my citizenship and then petition her.  ( I am a permanent resident right now, a green card holder)So my question is that she’s been married with my dad for 20 years but she never changed her status in her ID or passport so it would be that a problem when she goes to the interview for her tourist visa?

    Thanks in advance.

    No it does not.

    Hello

I am very new here and I do not know how to go through the proper question procedure. I'm sorry in advance.

My priority date is October 6, 2016, category (F2A), USCIS approved my Form I-130, Immigrant Petition for a relative, WAC receipt number *****. Then he was sent to NVC for the next steps.

They informed us that they had received and reviewed all the requested documentation.

They told us to approve the petition and send it to the corresponding consular office and wait to receive the appointment.

As the priority date is very close we request information about the status of our case, they answered:

    "Dear Sir / Madam:

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your inquiry regarding the immigrant visa petition: (# Case) filed by (Applicant Name) on behalf of (Beneficiary Name).

We returned immigrant visa petition (# Case) to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). If you have more questions about this case, please contact USCIS.

    USCIS CONTACT INFORMATION:

    USCIS Receipt Number: WAC ******
    Telephone: 1-800-375-5283
    Website: https://uscis.gov "

I do not understand what situation my case is in and how we should proceed now.

Make a call to nvc a find out what is happening...

Hello fellow VJer's  my fiance received an email at 6:34 am today...and yes its an RFE.

So then he called USCIS and asked if he will receive copy via email.

He was told that hard copy will take 30-45 days to receive and email 15-30 days (kinda odd that it will still take them that long..)

Anyways, somehow we know what it is... we missed to include TOS of CAtholic Match.Com were we met.  If thats the only thing they require from us..then we are already covered coz  we already requested for it last month.  Praying and hoping nothing more than that.

So all Janubies..just be patient and hang on coz  we are rolling!!!

    God is good!!!!

How do you know what it is what uscis want in the RFE if you even received de hard copy?

As long as someone is fluent in another language could they translate and get it signed through a notary? Would this be acceptable to USCIS? This is for the birth certificate translation into English for the 1-485.

I could pay an official translator. But if me or good friend can do it, seem better way to go.  Wife has three pages to her birth certificate. Is all necessary to get translated?

    Curious what others have done.

    Thank you:)

    Hello.

Yes you could. My wife did our translation and all was good.

POE – Point of entry question.

I have had a brief look on this forum and google but I was unable to get a definite answer.

Can I fly into any US international airport on my K1 or do I need to fly to the airport of the city I will be effectively moving to?

Can anyone clarify this to me?

    Many thanks. Matt

You can enter the US from land, air or sea. Does not matter.
