    Congrats... Can you please let me know his experience in detail. Like what all documents did the IO asked for and questions which were asked. How long his interview went.

    My husband is scheduled for an interview in next 10 days so want to make sure.

    TIA

    JAtlanta...

    Interview scheduled on March 9th, 2018 at 12.15 pm

    My husband reached there by 11.15 am. There was a 5 minute security check at the entrance. Then he was instructed to go to the 1st counter to check in at the ground floor. He showed them the interview letter and they sent to me to the 3rd floor. On the 3rd floor, there was a big waiting area, a reception counter & 3 doors. He was  asked to wait till 11.45 am as he was early. He was given a token number and a door number number. The officer called his out token number and door number and invited him in. He was asked to raise his right hand & was sworn in. His photo was taken and fingerprints of both hands for verification.

    The officer asked my husband to sit down, opened his file & went through it question by question. Two things were different from the time he applied...his residential address and the fact that he had a traffic violation. My husband had accidentally given a "no" because he thought traffic violations weren't included. Any penalty under $500 without an arrest does not need any documentary proof so he thought he didnt need to include it in that question. My husband updated the officer on the change of address and the fact that he had a traffic violation under $500 which was marked respectively on the application.

    Then the officer pulled a random questionnaire comprising of 20 questions and started asking questions. My husband got his 1st 6 questions correct so the officer was kind enough to stop. He was then asked to read a random statement and write a sentence in English. Then the officer attached the questionnaire & both the papers of the read out & written statement to the original application. My husband was told that he passed and his application will be updated for approval. Following this, he was given a letter stating that his application was proposed for approval. Then he was asked to wait in the waiting area. 15 minutes later, a supervisor reviewed the case and printed out a letter detailing the oath ceremony date and time.

    And that was it!! So relieved!!!!  :-)

    Good luck. Hope your interview goes well too!

    Hey guys...My husband passed his citizen interview today. He is scheduled for the oath ceremony 2 weeks from now. The officer was very polite and he kept things cool. My husband had been really tense since yesterday. The officer asked him details that were already on the application, our marriage, traffic violations, tax reports...and then he was told he passed! Good luck to all still waiting for the interview 😊😊

    Hi Guys,

    just a fast heads up in regards to NVC processing times for F2A.  There are multiple threads for CR1 and K1 visas but non for F2A.

    My documents where received and scanned by NVC mid February and today March 7 we got case completed and approved by NVC.

    My wife and I are very happy, will have a glass of Champagne later on ;)

    However, this shows that NVC does process F2A in the same speed as they would for CR1 and they are much faster than the 11 weeks they state on their website. Good luck everyone. Hope everyone will be with his partner soon!

    @Michael2017...congrats!!

  8. Hi. My husband applied citizenship on June 1, 2017...had his FP done within 2 weeks...and has been "in line for interview" since August 22, 2017. Any one know why it is taking so long now? its almost 8 months (in another 4-5 days) now since submitting the application. We can't raise an enquiry online nor via phone because they keep saying the "average time is 6-8 months...you should hear from them within 8 months"...yet we haven't received anything so far...what do we do?
