Inline on day 297...this is a trip... Thank you. I want to see how long before my interview is scheduled since I am already behind processing time
Congrats! Wow and I thoughts my wait was long (FP 3/28, in line 8/16)...in my case they scheduled the interview on 8/17 (interview date 9/21). Typically if they take long to place you in line, they give you an interview very quickly.

How you contact to the L2 officer? Could you please show me how thank you @Nick79
First you have to call the general USCIS number, then speak to the operator and then ask to speak to L2 officer; they normally schedule a call back as they're not readily available.

And you were correct.
L2 Officer said Oath is Dec 19 sometime in the morning. Now I'm scared not having the actual notice in hand yet in time for the date of the Oath.
Hopefully it gets here in a couple of days. But in case it doesn't, what measures can we take to ensure that my wife can still attend the oath on that date?
Thanks.
Yes I got mine from an L2 officer before I got the notice; also, I've heard that L2 officers can fax you the letter if you don't receive it in time, although I have no direct experience of that.

Gotta love the USCIS: I've been a US Citizen since 11/3 and this morning this is what I find in the mail...a letter saying that I entered a request to reschedule my oath!! The letter is dated 11/13 (when I was already a USC) and it's got a service inquiry # and all. Of course I never requested to reschedule my oath or anything. Should I even bother with this? I mean I already have my naturalization certificate and my passport...These guys can't leave me alone!
I can't believe I had to call them again!! They could have seriously screwed things up for me if they had rescheduled my oath without me knowing anything about it.

Ok thank you ! - what did you bring as proof of travel ? Flights or is hotel enough ? Also, did they keep your naturalization certificate ?
I showed the plane ticket; as to the certificate, they need the original and they'll give it back to you with the passport.
1 hour ago, Dinosaur2013 said:Hi Nick, have a quick question. Did they return you the cert of naturalization on Friday or they are planning to return it to you today when you go picking up your passport?
They return it to you once you pick up your passport.

@Nick79 what did you need to bring to the passport agency to justify applying through them ? also congrats on your final divorce from USCIS !!
Thanks!! You need to bring proof of travel; I applied on Friday afternoon and I'm going to pick it up today at 3pm so 1 business day. If you live near a passport agency it's totally pointless (and a huge waist of $)to use an expediter.
Thanks,
Nicola

Guys...paint me red, I’m officially a US citizen!
Applied for my passport immediately after the oath at the NY passport agency and should get it on Monday. Also planning on registering to vote on line.

did you track it online? or you received notice in the mail? i'm hoping i get something soon
I got a text and e-mail notification, but it only came on 10/10; I found out I was actually in-line since 9/27 by speaking to an L2 officer. You only get the actual oath notice in the mail, not the intermediate steps.

Did any of you get the " A decision cannot be made response" ? How long did it take to hear back. I know they have 120 days to respond but im sure others heard sooner than that
I got the same thing after my interview on 9/21and I was put in line for the oath on 9/27, it took 6 days.

Hi guys ... hope y'all doing good .
Would like to kindly ask the wait time for interview for N-400 as my wife filed in February 2017 went for biometrics in march/April 2017 and since then nothing from uscis ... when tracked says on April 21 they started the interview process for her N-400 . Anyone here with similar issues pls ?or any good news somewhere? 🤔🙏
when should we expect an interview letter any ideas pls
I was put in line for interview 4 1/2 months after my NOA (3/1) and I have my oath on 11/3...If I'm lucky this whole process will take 8 monhts. (I'm in NYC). So be patient and just follow up with L2 officers every now and then.

URGENT: I received my oath notice, however, I only have one page (front and back) whereas at the bottom it says page 2 of 3; there is no 3rd page though! Does anyone know what I'm actually supposed to receive with the oath notice?! Thanks!!

Oath date 11/3; didn't receive the notice yet but L2 officer confirmed it. I'm going to need to get a passport in 1 week but should be feasible as I live close to a passport agency.

from the looks of this it seems every Friday...
The Naturalization Ceremony
On each Friday, a District Judge presides over the Naturalization Ceremony that is held in the Ceremonial Courtroom located at the Pearl Street Courthouse.* Beginning at 10:00 a.m. on the day of the ceremony, applicants are processed by USCIS Officers and Deputy Clerks of the Court. Each petitioner should bring the U.S. issued “green card,” U.S. issued visas and all other travel documents. A petitioner who is not fluent in English, but who is age 55 or older and has a U.S. permanent residency of more than 20 years, may be accompanied by someone who can interpret in the petitioner’s native language.
The ceremony begins approximately at 11:30 a.m. and others are invited into the courtroom to witness the petitioners swear the Oath of Allegiance to the United States of America. Pursuant to Local Civil Rule 1.8, no one is permitted to bring a camera, portable telephone or recording device into the courthouse without the written permission of a judge of this Court.
Everyone is expected to comply with federal court rules and any other rules of the court. Please remain quiet during the proceedings and stand when the judge enters or leaves the courtroom. If you must leave while court is in session, please exit quietly.
*Upon entering the courthouse, everyone is required to pass through the security screening. Please allow extra time for the screening process.
oops! thanks! :-))

Hi @Nick79 here is a link to the schedule hopefully that is what you need.. http://www.nysd.uscourts.gov/part1_crim.php
Thanks; it doesn't really say when the ceremonies are held though for some reason; I guess they just don't provide that info.

Yes, but make sure that
1. you live close enough to a passport agency
2. you need to make an appointment ahead of time. Some agencies may accept walk-ins but it's not guaranteed and there may be a very long wait.
3. You will need proof of travel, such as a plane ticket.
