  1. Update: my husband went for his CR1 interview on February 20, 2018 and was placed on administrative processing as they required some more information (dm me if you want me to be specific). The second interview to submit the information was on April 3, 2018 and he was approved.  He picked up his passport on April 10, 2018 and arrived in the USA on April 14. Upon arrival he was detained for 4 hour as they verified the same issue that placed him on administrative processing and eventually let him go after they we able to verify everything. I guess its not over until its over - I guess the entry point has final say even with an immigrant visa.

Its been quiet the journey as we had gone through a successful K1 visa journey but in the middle of waiting for his green card application to be approved he had to go back to his country to attend to some family issue and so I had to repetition for spousal immigrant visa CR1. I am so pleased that it was approved and now he is back home and no more stressing. I did everything on my own without a lawyer but I could not have survived the process without you guys' support so thank you.

I wish everyone the best in your journey.  Stay strong, don't give up and don't listen to anyone who tries to discourage (I had some people telling me that the CR1 would not be approved). Every case, story or journey is different but believe in your story, love and goal and you will be successful no matter the obstacles or speed bumps may come your way. This process amongst other things teaches you patience and that I have learnt from all the waiting and not having any control whatsoever.

    God Bless!

  2. Interview scheduled for February 20.  Woke up to appointment letter via email. Now have to schedule medicals before interview.

All the best to all my fellow April filers that are still waiting for your petition to be approved. I know its frustrating trust me I know but keep your head up.  If its any consolation each stage comes with its own frustrations. Same feeling all the way to the end.  Hang in there :-)

Hey good day. I had this same issue you had and I wasn't aware until a RFE was sent to me yesterday to send in my completed i130a. I do want to confirm if you submitted it with any supporting documents like birth cert, passport etc like we did with the i130.

I only sent the form with a copy of the NOA1 and a cover letter since I had no RFE and my case was approved with no RFE. In your case I think you should send the completed and signed I-130a form with the RFE notice and a cover letter (make sure the cover letter states your case number and name of petitioner and name of beneficiary). If you already submitted the birth certificate and passport, etc then you do not need to resend them.  Make sure you send the form via courier so they sign for it in order for you to track it and know when its received. When I send mine they took long to acknowledge receipt then again I probably sent the form when they had not yet begun to review my case but with you they already started so I'm sure they will update receipt right away.

    I hope this helps.

We had the same issue. We received that email regarding a missing ds-260 right after christmas even though we had submitted the ds-260 a long time ago. we gave the confirmation number from the ds-260 to the rep over the phone and he said they had been having some issues pulling certain applications and to disregard it and we should hear some news in 5 weeks at the most.

    I feel better....thank you.

I got that email too and the rep said it was a mistake on their part and my file was put in for supervisor review. I had a post earlier that when I called the lady was questioning when I did the form. She told me that they are having a computer glitch that doesn’t allow them to see the form if it’s completed or not. Maybe that’s why the emails are going out.

Oh wow...thank you so much.  I feel better now.

  6. I just talked to NVC about the email they sent me saying that the DS-260 was missing. This what the lady at NVC said after telling her that I received an email this morning saying the DS 260 is missing yet I submitted and got a confirmation page  with a confirmation number on it (starts withy 2 letters) and a confirmation email.  She asks "when did you send the form then I said on December 7. Then she says well we received the documents on December 12 (they actually received the documents on December 9 and scan date was Dec 12). So she says disregard the email if you already sent the form. Your documents were received on December 12 and we wont know what we have until we have reviewed the file. The email was just a reminder".  So my question is - why send me the email if you don't know for sure that you don't have the form.  I am confused.  The lady was trying very hard to get me off the phone as quickly as possible. It doesn't make sense. I feel like calling again and talking to someone else.

Has any one of you guys had a similar experience regarding the DS-260 form?

  7. Hey guys,

I just received an email saying they are missing the DS-260 form yet I filled it out and submitted got a confirmation page and also email that they received it. I submitted it a day before I sent the package.  Has anyone got such as email and how did you respond.  I am on the phone right now on hold trying to see what happened with the form.  My scan date was December 12.

  8. My spouse came on a K1 and had to go back to their home country before they got the green card, EAD and advance parole approval.  I the petitioner withdrew the AOS application and they responded quick. So we refiled under CR1 and attached all documents showing the K1 approval and AOS withdrawal and a letter explaining what happened. Petition was approved and we are now at the NVC stage and just sent in our IVF package.

If you guys are in-love and all that good stuff then just re petition for her. It took 6 and half months for our petition to be approved. Trust me it has been frustrating having to re petition but now that we are at NVC stage I'm happy I did and we cant wait to reunite. Whilst waiting for petition to approved I visited my husband. I think that helps to also show continued relationship.

I hope this helps.  If you need more information plz dm me.

    Hello everyone!

I'm glad to see progress on everyone's cases. My wife just called NVC and got our case number but when she asked if she could now pay for the fees the person on the phone told her "you should wait 6 weeks from this date (12/01/2017) for the instructions letter in order to pay". Do we really have to wait for the hardcopy letter?

I also would like to know how do I know which NVC thread to join. Is it December?

Also, I just updated my timeline and signature below.

    Regards,

    DPK

No you wont have to wait that long. I did not wait that long (see my signature for timeline). They will email you both with a welcome letter and instructions to complete step one (choose an agent) and after you will wait for a few days (even though they say 2 weeks) and they will send the agent you choose a letter to complete step 2 (paying the fees - $120 for Affidavit of Support fee and $325 for IVF fee). After you pay they say wait a week then the Ds-260 form will be open.  I'm waiting for my DS-260 to open. I just paid my fees today.  I hope this helps.

    All the best.

  10. Hey guys, Happy Friday

I received our instructions from NVC via email last night to pay the Affidavit of Support fee and IVF fee for my husband (i'm the agent and the US Citizen) which I paid this morning.  After paying says we should wait a week before we can access the D-260 form.  Looks like they are moving fast. They say wait a certain time for the next stage but its quicker than the number of weeks they state - atleast the NVC stage.  See my timeline for our detailed journey. Moving on to the NVC December forum so that's where I will be posting going forward.

Good luck to everyone who are still waiting for petition approval and or NVC to receive case. Thank you to all of you for all your help always. I couldn't have gotten through the USCIS stage without you guys. The wait is so frustrating and trying and its better to know you are not the only one and you have support.

    Stay blessed.

Hi there! Do they let you know in the welcome letter if you're eligible for electronic processing?

The welcome letter does not say.  I'm just assuming that it will be electronic but I could be wrong,  in that case all I have to do is print the documents and mail them to NVC.  All I did at this point is send (electronically) the DS-261 form and I waiting to hear back. I hope I am not missing something.

  12. Hey guys, hope you are all hanging in there :-)

We received my husband's case number and invoice number on November 25, 2017 and filled out the DS-261 form (choose me as the agent) the next day. Now waiting to hear back from NVC as to when I can pay the fees. It says we should give them two-there weeks to process the DS-261 form. I have pretty much put together al the required documents in pdf format and ready to send.

Anyone know when are we required to complete the DS-262 form?  I was hoping I can get a head start on it so by the time NVC is ready for it - its all done and ready to send. I know this form is electronic so how do we send the 2 passport pictures required? I'm really lost as to when the passport pictures are needed and how we are supposed to send them if now you can do everything via electronic transfer.
