It is possible to get a CC with a checklist; in that case you are generally asked to bring the missing document during the interview. You might need to double check by calling NVC

Thanks guys! Sorry it was a FALSE ALARM! I called them and they said your case is complete and you just have to bring it to the interview, that's all!

Did u put case number on every paper ?

If you included police certificate in ur cover letter try calling nvc and maybe they will accept ur 2nd ceritificate quickly ?

Yes I did, and I called them and they said it was a glitch by the system. My case is complete! So, it was a false alarm. Always a good idea to call :-) thanks for your support!!

  2. I just got a checklist from the NVC (even though my online status was changed yesterday to 'at NVC' and I thought I had CC) for my Police Certificate . I made an EXACT copy of the file we sent to NVC and the police certificate was in there - I am 100% sure! Has anyone else experienced this? I am quite angry because I am sure the certificate was included. It has an English translation at the bottom, perhaps I should translate the entire document?

  3. Hello everyone! We have submitted all our documents to the NVC on October 25, according to FedEx, it was signed for and received on October 27, which is a bit over 5 weeks ago. Our online status says: 'At NVC'. I was wondering, has any of you tried to call NVC about the status of your case? (I am the Beneficiary, my husband always had to call the USCIS because I was not allowed to ask him any questions). I was on hold with them forever, and then they said: you are not the US citizen so we cannot answer your questions. So I kind of want to avoid that with the NVC :-) Thank you!

As you all remember, I called and talked to a tier 2 IO at USCIS last Wednesday where she responded that our application has not even been assigned to anyone yet. Well 305 days later, I get home and guess what waiting for me in the mailbox!!! YES!!! NOA2!! APPROVED!!! And of course dated, September 21, 2017, The day AFTER I called!!! Thank the Lord!!!!

I am beyond the moon!!! Now if I can just wake up my husband and tell him!!!!!!

BTW, NOTHING is updated online OR in both APPS!!!! WTG USCIS!!!!

    CONGRATULATIONS!!!

We had the same situation, the NOA2 letter was dated Sept 12, the online status was finally changed on Sept 20, we received email/text notifications/update in the app on Sept 20. Better late than never USCIS ;-)

Believe me I feel your frustration. They are definitely a very unorganized group of people as some people get updates on their phone apps, some letter only, some get texts, some get email and even tho you sign up for email alerts and or texts, everyone who has a app on their phone should see a update as isn't that why the app was created?? Those people don't use same method of contact for everyone, so always left in limbo... consistency  needs established

Yes, we received the hard copy for NOA2 in the mail, but the online status still did not change, nor did the status in the app and we also did not receive any email notifications. No one told us how long it will take for USCIS to send the case to the NVC, so I guess we need to start calling them now as well to see if USCIS actually managed to send our case there... So yes, it is absolutely a very unorganized mess! I am keeping my fingers crossed for all of your approvals soon!

Hi EvdH. My date is Jan 3rd. Do you think I should be calling regularly now if they can tell you over the phone you're approved, instead of waiting for the mail? I live in Israel and the mail is slow here. Also, did they tell you your case number over the phone or did you have to wait for the mail? Thanks!

Hi Marley, we only started calling after our PD date was outside USCIS processing times, which are posted on this website (updated around the 15th of each month): https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplay.do
So once they passed Jan 3rd (which is not the case, they are in December now), it might be worth trying to call. Make sure that the petitioner calls, they are not allowed to answer questions by the beneficiary.
    Good luck!

  7. Hello everyone! Just checking in - we just received our NOA2 on September 12 from USCIS. If I understand it correctly, we have to wait for NVC to assign us a case number, and then we can use this to log in online to assign an Agent (Form DS-261). And what is the 'scan date' that everyone is talking about? Is that when NVC has received your entire package?
Many thanks for your help and I hope your petitions are processed quickly!

Congrats!!! Did you get the notification by email or letter?

    Hi! thank you!
We only received a hard copy in the mail. The online status did not change yet.. I think USCIS might be quite slow updating the online part, but we received the hard copy in the mail yesterday. The tier 2 officer on the phone confirmed our case was approved on September 12, that was even before we received the notice in the mail. Good luck to you!!

Oh good news.... Happy for you. I know when I get my good news I will jump up & down and cry like a baby and then let my hubby see the approval letter.

I will then drop on my knees giving God praise for all this....

Thank you! Hang in there, I hope they will approve your case soon Sundee!

Thank you! No not yet, just by phone from the tier2 officer. She said the hard copy should arrive by Monday. Online status has not changed yet

    Congratulations! Very good news!

But almost 10 month is a huuuugeee waite :-(

Yes it was really long... I was becoming really desperate!!! Good luck on your case

  10. My husband called USCIS again this morning and demanded to speak to an Tier2 officer again. I didn't think they would have anything useful to say but they said that our petition was APPROVED on September 12 and that the hard copy is on the way in the mail! The online status did not change yet, I did not get any notifications so I feel like I will only believe this is happening when we get the letter from USCIS, but I think our I-130 got approved!:D

  11. Hey guys, a November filer here (PD Nov 7 for NOA1 and STILL waiting for approval from Nebraska!): I just came here to check out whether any December filers have been approved. I don't understand how the Nebraska Service center works... the approval dates seem so random! I really hope we will all get approved soon!!

In case anyone is wondering: yes, we have called and emailed USCIS and contacted our representative to inquire about our case but USCIS just told us to wait. So I think we ran out of options... just have to wait for this random process to end

Hey mine is also PD Nov 7 for I-130. I got a mail for an interview last month. You sure you did not get the mail?

No we did not get anything in the mail, my husband checks it every day... He lives in the US, I live abroad. We would not get an interview directly, we first need to get the approval for the I-130 and then we proceed to the NVC phase and then our case will be sent to the consulate in the Netherlands where I will have an interview (eventually, some time in 2018?).

  13. 309 days and counting! (PD Nov 7 for I-130), keeping my fingers crossed for another week of approvals from Nebraska! Wishing you all the best of luck

306 days since last status Change for I-130 (pd nov 9) which was nothing. I changed my address, submitted an inquiry, and still nothing. I did notice on my app on my tablet that all the updated dates and inquiries are no longer under our cases. Calling in the morning to find out what is going on. Could be good. Could be bad.

Same thing for I-129f (pd nov 28).....

Hope you'll receive some news soon!

I really don't know where to begin, but to thank God! I have been following this post for MONTHS. We did not file in November our priority date is December 13, 2016 but this thread is a lot more active than the December thread. We are super excited! We received our NOA-2 today from USCIS. It was approved on the 31st of August -- about 8 1/2 months after the priority date.

This was a real anxious and tense time for us, it was especially hard being apart for eight months. It reached the point where we just bought a ticket for me to come visit my wife in Houston. We were unsure if they would let me in on my B1/B2 visa. I had no issue getting into the country. I flew into Miami (MIA). The immigration officer was friendly, no hassle at all. It was information from this very thread, where people said they had travelled into the country during the process, that prompted us to take a chance. I would just like to say thank you to everyone who takes the time to post. I feel that the importance of these forums cannot be overstated, even if just as a support mechanism.

Good luck to everyone! On to the NVC stage- any recommendations are greatly appreciated and accepted!

    Congratulations!!!
May I ask, how did USCIS notify you? I am reading many different things about this... some people just receive a letter via the regular mail and no online updates. And others did get text messages/emails. My husband is currently traveling for business for a few weeks and I am really curious whether we might have received something in the regular mail at his US address?

Woohoo.....God is good 🙌🏻Glory to Him....im so happy for you and your partner...Congrats🎉🎉💃🏻💃🏻 ....My husband and i are still waiting, and we are at begin of november so this gives me hope 🤗🤗 ....of all people in this group , @EvdH and I have same dates , so i bet it must be comforting for her also, and of course the rest of people that are at begin of november !!!!

Thank you Tejts! I really hope they will get to our cases soon! Today is the ten month mark... :o Fingers crossed....

  16. Do any of you also think that many of the delays are due to the current political situation? USCIS (as a part of the Department of Homeland Security) has been so busy lately with all kinds of versions of the Trump Travel ban, and now they will start to overhaul the DACA program (for children of undocumented immigrants): I am not sure if there is any factual evidence (I haven't been able to find any hard numbers to substantiate this claim) but I would not be surprised if all these developments also impact legal immigration (via the CR-1 and K1 procedures) for spouses of US citizens... :-(

I wanted to share some news finally! We have been approved 🎉 My husband received the approval letter yesterday. Thanks to each and every one of you for your prayers and support. Whew!

Oh finally! So glad to hear you got approved! Congratulations!! How did you receive the notification? Via email/text or regular mail? Did your online status change?

Is anyone still waiting for NOA 2?

I sent my I-130 from Japan to the Chicago Lockbox on 11/25. I got my NOA 1 on 12/31.

So far I have heard nothing since then and I've checked my case status several times.

Is anyone else still stuck in limbo at the I-130 stage?

Yes, sent from the Netherlands to Chicago Lockbox on 11/03, NOA1 on 11/07, still waiting for NOA2. Tried everything in terms of contacting USCIS, they say they are doing background checks and cannot tell us how much longer it will take. So in two days we will be waiting for 10 months at Nebraska....

Really, your case is so much strange as the real quick approval, and you didn't get an RFE...

Well, maybe is time to try to insist more in order to know what is going on there???

Yes, we did. We called, called, demanded to speak to an TIER2 officer, emailed, tried to make an Infopass appointment, had our representative to do an official inquiry at USCIS... there is nothing you can we can do anymore but wait.
