The online status of USCIS seems working now, at least for us. We received text message notification one day after NOA2 date. Also, speaking with Tier 2 officer brought some luck to us. It could be a coincidence though.

When I'm talking to any of you, I don't care if you are from the US, the Philippines, UK, Jamaica or Timbuktu... We all have the same problems and concerns... Well, except for things that are country specific 😝

What a wonderful day.  I was heading into classroom to do some training at 9 am, going to shut off my phone and I notice an email notification from USCIS.  What??!! Told my students to take a quick break, open up the email - expected RFE - and it is approval.  Completely surprised!!!
 
Then I get a text message, telling me to go to the web site - the status of our case has changed, go to web site - case approved!!!
 
Then I received a notication from the iPhone USCIS app that our case is approved.  Open the app, and a digital confetti stream goes across the screen and the message shows case approved.  Very cool!!
 
All unexpected since everyone has been receiving notices in the mail and nothing from the app.
 
I will never forget that moment...

Well it finally happened. We got our approval today! I did one of my many checks on the USCIS website and instead of telling me I submitted my I-129 it said it was approved. We are so happy and now we are on to the next stage. We wish all you guys luck. They are coming it's just slow.

NOA2 = August 15th

Just got a call back from a tier 2 officer ( luckily we didn't have to wait 6 more hours) and he told us we got approved today. 
It still makes me wonder why we got a second noa1 but at this point I'm just happy beyond measure! 
Thanks to everyone who tried to help me. I hope you all will be with your loved ones soon.

You made this day more special... but now for the rest of the journey, as well as all your approvals if you still don't have it! 

We, however, were approved before the estimated timelines. NOA2 comes in the mail today and our approval is dated August 10th, so 121 days since NOA1, 126 since received date.
 
Since it's a Monday, Gary telecommutes today, so I'll tell him to keep an eye on the postman when he wakes up
 
 

My Fiance called to USCIS on friday, and they said the typical story " We are working on feb 1". Yesterday our letter arrived!! I hope they give you good news

Congrats @tcovington !!! Thank you also for the advice!!! I called USCIS and asked to speak with a Tier 2 they eventually transferred me( I left a call back number) and 10mins later they called me back. She was nice and said I don't have an RFE or anything. They just haven't made the final decision.  I told her I need a status update on my case immediately! And she created a case for it. It looks like this one your myUSCIS  account
[ On August 11, 2017, your general inquiry, referral number ETC$$$##########CSC, was assigned to an officer for response.]
She said I would get a letter in the mail in 2 weeks with my updated status but I can inquire earlier within the coming two weeks.

Good news for you

I just called and a tier 2 answered. I explained I wasn't bugging I just wanted to know if I could expect any delays due to an RFE because my wedding plans were probably going to have to be changed already due to processing times. 
She was very professional and apologetic and stressed to " hang in there, this is the longest and most nerve wracking step in the process " she then informed me that according to her records, everything is good, no derogatory remarks and we are just waiting for final adjudication. She did say it's possible but rare that the officer finds something that was missed previously.

I just called the USCIS, the tier one agent quoted processing Feb, so I requested a tier 2 agent and I just received the call back from Oscar who said, "Congratulations, your application was approved yesterday." I could not speak at first and tears started flowing down my cheeks. Thank you everyone, today is my birthday, what an awesome gift!

We've been approved!!!! I called asking about our expedite and tier 2 said it was approved as of yesterday and will be sent to Nvc in 3-4 days.
