  1. I don't see anything wrong with that.  I thought you meant they are rude or look for ways to give applicants a hard time.  They are just doing their job.

I heard Djibouti embassy yes are letting everyone in basically.  Even the congresswoman clerk in Michigan told me that about the Djibouti embassy, but like i said if my paper work is legit everything should be fine.

I thought you meant the Jordanian embassy don't give out visas easily or rude

  2. I am petitioning for my spouse as well.  We went to Malaysia for 3 weeks when we got married.  I thought about leaving her in Malaysia, but the whole process i knew could take a year so i sent her back to yemen and that's where she is now.

It's been 6 months and the uscis hasn't made a decision yet.  I submitted an I-130 back in December 2016.  In April they sent me a RFE, but that's about it.

As far as where to go in Sha Allah once my case moves along in the process, i am not sure.

I didn't know the US embassy in Amman treats yemenies like you said.  I am not sure why they would treat them poorly.  When you say they treat them had, what exactly did you hear?  If i am going in with legit papers and will answer their questions, why would they treat me bad?  I know a lot of yemenies say Jordanians treat yemenies bad, but that's not true from my personal experience in Jordan.

Malaysia is nice, but i heard it's taking too long for their embassy to move along.

Wallah my father just told me his friend just got a notification from the embassy in Djibouti for his wife's interview on July 21st.

If you stayed in Malaysia for 6 months, why didn't you just stay there?

I personally don't want to go to Djibouti or any country in Africa even if it's Egypt.  Plus, if you are saying they just got a bunch of boats to Djibouti, then that makes it worse.

  3. I am still at the uscis and waiting for them to approve me in sha Allah.  But i am not sure where i should send my case once it's approved.  I have to choose between Djibouti, Jordan or Malaysia.  Maybe even Sudan i am not sure.  I heard today Malaysia will no longer give Yemeni citizens a 90 day visa.  Only 14-day visa but i am not sure if that's a rumor.

So it's a rumor that as soon as you complete the 260 you can get an interview them i guess.  I have heard that from others.

Good luck and let us know when they update you

  4. To answer your question, no I don't know anyone who will be interviewing in Djibouti this month or next month.

Why did you move to Djibouti before your NVC case was completed and before getting an interview?  I have friends and people I know that waited until their case was complete with the NVC and their interview date was given to them, then they traveled to Djibouti 2 to 3 weeks before their interview.  That way they can get their medical done there.

FYI, you will be notified when your interview is scheduled 30 days before the interview date.  This means plan to stay in Djibouti for at least a month if they give you your interview date today.

I heard its awful their in Djibouti, and the people there take advantage of the Yemenies there.  My friend said he was paying $300 just for electricity and almost $800 in rent.

    Good luck

they don't update the website they will however tell you on the phone they received it. they will update it when the case is complete just call when 30 days has passed and see if anything has changed.

I am just wondering why you said call after 30 days from the day their received it?  I was looking at the estimated time for NVC processing and it looks like it's around 10.5 weeks according to some VJ members.  30 days is less than 5 weeks.  I am just wondering

Well yes, you are thinking correctly. USCIS is not useful to help anymore as the petition is no longer in their hands. They can only confirm they send the approved petition to the NVC.

Yes, but I am not how another member who poste don this thread explained how he/she contacted the USCIS when their case was already sent to the embassy by the NVC.  Maybe I misunderstood them or misread their comment.  Not sure

In my case, US Consulate in Amsterdam did not appreciate people calling or emailing a "bunch of times". This is the reason I am hesitant on Visajourney to advise calling/e-mailing a lot. Especially if it's every day.

I agree, because it depends on the person receiving these emails daily.  I can see a staff member ignoring an applicant who is emailing/calling daily.  And on the other hand, I can see a staff member expediting such a person to get rid of them lol

Assuming you mean your petition is approved and send to the Embassy, the USCIS right now has nothing to do with the petition anymore since it at the Embassy stage. OP, you could try contacting the Embassy again and explaining it has been 20+ days. If CEAC shows ready, it is at the Embassy.

That's exactly what I was thinking too.  If the NVC sent his case, why contact the USCIS?  I thought once the case moves to the NVC and NVC notifies you that it has been received from the USCIS, then USCIS is no longer useful to contact.  But I am learning as I go because I am new to this

  9. I can tell you from experience that my I-130 got processed before my I-129.  When I say "processed", I mean looked at not approved or denied.  I received a RFE for my I-130, but my I-129 hasn't been touched.  I would still do the I-129 because it's free and no fee is required if you submitted an I-130.  I just waited for my I-130 receipt letter to send with my I-129 form.  I am not sure if that's necessary, but that's what I did.  Good luck

Either way (tax return or transcript) is OK.  But just to be clear - they PREFER transcripts, as it shows what is actually on file with the IRS.  You could have filled out your tax return and never mailed it.  The transcript proves it.

I ordered tax transcripts via mail on a Friday, and they were in my hands the next Thursday.  It's a miracle.

    Sukie in NY

I ordered my tax transcripts on Thursday and Monday was a federal holiday right.  Today is Tuesday and I see on the USPS mail delivery notifications that I am getting them today.  That's a miracle.  And I ordered 6 transcripts (2 different transcripts for 3 years each).  I wish the USCIS can work as fast as the IRS

  11. This is only my guess so please don't take it for granted, but with the memorial day holiday maybe employees go for vacation the week before.  When I worked for the government (different entity), we used to take our vacations before/after federal holidays to have an extended time off work.  Still, to have your NAO2 on 4/25 and waiting over a month is a long time.  I would call them again, because it's not your fault if its due to the holiday.  I would call them twice a day if I was you to make sure it's done asap.  Good luck.

I am new to this, but I did hear some people get their medical done when they get their NVC case number, but is that really the right thing to do when the NVC process is taking about 10-11 weeks, then you have to wait for the embassy for the interview.  Some applicants waited 4-6 months for their interview date from the date their case was sent to the NVC

The NVC does not need proof of your citizenship, that was established when you submitted the I-130.  It's joint sponsors and household members signing an I-864A that would need to submit proof of status because it was not established previously.

You are correct, I am sorry I missed the sponsor part.  So, when it's time to send me documents to the NVC I plan to send the following:

    SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS:

    Wife's Birth Certificate

    Marriage Certificate

    Wife's Police Certificate

    Wife's Passport Biographic Data Page

My Divorce Papers from previous marriage

    FINANCIAL DOCUMENTS:

    Completed I-864 Form

IRS Tax Transcripts for last 3 years

    Letter from Employer

Check Stubs for last 3 months

Is that it?  Do I need to send anything else?  I am not sure if I need to send the confirmation page for filling out the DS-260 or not

  13. I still say visit your police station and explain to him that your spouse was caught cheating and now telling people and falsely accusing you of physical abuse and see what the police will tell you.

Then, call up an immigration lawyer and ask him/her what you can do to first protect yourself and family from her and if anything can be done to revoke her green card.  Call and go see 4 to 5 immigration lawyers is the best thing you can do.

  14. Sorry to hear about what has happened to your son.  I hope things get better for you.  As for her, I would do a police report on her to protect yourself from her ever accusing you of domestic violence in the future.  I know she got her GC, but you can actually file a law suit and if you can prove she married you for the GC, then it can be stripped from her.  You need to provide good proof though.   Good luck

If your income meets the I-864 requirements, the most recent tax transcript and proof of US citizenship is all you need for this part.

Thank you for your reply.  On the i-864 part 5 on page 4, it calculates the household size.  I am filling for my spouse and none of us have children, but it's pulling 1 for myself which i agree with, then it says to enter 1 of married which i am filling for my wife so that's 2 now, then it enters 1 for the number i entered in part 3 item 28.  When i go to pay 3 item 28, it's asking how many immigrants i am sponsoring on this affidavit... Well i entered 1 because i am filling it out to sponsor my wife

  16. I was reviewing and trying to prep for the documents the NVC will request and I found this page:

    https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Step_4_Collect_Financial_Documents.html

For financial evidence documents, I work for a company in the US and my income is average (above the poverty line), but I am getting confused what I need to submit other than my IRS Transcripts for the most recent year or 3 3 last years.  Is that it, just a proof of my citizneship and Tax Transcripts?

  17. Hello,

Form i-864 Part 2 question 6 asks if the principal immigrant who is my spouse has a USCIS ELIS Account Number.  I filled out Form-i130 and I have a case number from the USCIS.  Is that the same as the USCIS ELIS.  I know the ELIS stands for Electronic Immigration System, but I am not sure if the case number I received from the USCIS via mail is this number.  Please advise

  18. I have been using this feature for a little over a month.  I did see an image of the RFE letter around 7:30 am EST.  I found my mailman and asked him to give it to me and he did before getting to my house.

I worked for the USPS a while back as an engineer.  I remember when I got hired, they took all the new hire engineers and put us through a rotational program to learn the USPS processes and each had to complete a project.  At the end, we were asked of ways to make the USPS more profitable.  I proposed having Priority Gold and Express and getting rid of everything else when it comes to packaging.  I also proposed ending the letter business which is crazy I know.  I also proposed the USPS to have a pharmaceutical division and deliver medicine.  Last, I proposed to send customers images of their letters since the machines already scan them and when I worked for the USPS, we were able to see the images of scanned letters.  I was told this won't happen because if the letters are not delivered, then the customer would complain.  They proffered the customers not knowing what was coming to them for some reason although packages are tracked.  I simply said "Ok, might not be doable now, but once you start losing more money it will be."  I liked the people there, but USPS focus on lots of things the real customer doesn't care for.  The USPS needs to get into more than mail.  They have the network to cover the entire country and they are focusing on a business that's dying (letters/flats).  Packages they are making money on, but they need other things to get involved in just like Amazon keeps expanding it's business.  Amazon is getting into the pharmaceutical industry.

Where do you read i am trying to strip her of citizenship?

She chose her path and now the children will suffer, its a shame.

It's a shame I know and it's unfortunate for everyone (you, kids and lastly her).  When you mentioned the "fake SSN" it just sounded like you were looking for something to hold on her is what I assumed.  But I assumed and I am sorry.  Didn't mean to offend you in anyway or fashion.  Good luck man (I went through a divorce and it's tough, but life goes on and in the long run it's a good thing that you are not living and wasting your life with someone that doesn't want to spend their life with you).

  20. Let it go man.  You have to let go of the things that don't want to stay with you.  There is no way you can strip her from her citizenship and get her deported if that's your goal especially with her having 2 kids with you and staying with you this long.  Plus, she's a female so the law most of the time will be on her side.

By the way, be careful about the fake SSN because if you knew  back then why didn't you report it?  I am won't be surprised if they say you had a hand in it and you get yourself in trouble with the government.
