Please I am Nigerian and my American fiance and I are planning to get marriage in Nigeria by March as she will be coming down to Nigeria hence I will like to know the documents you submitted as a prove of your bonafide marriage during your petition, please help me out with the info so that I can get prepared. Thanks.

Well, it varies on the case. Since you don't live together, there is nothing much you can provide besides few photographs along with your marriage certificate. I would suggest you try taking as many photos as you could with both the families. You guys can also go on a mini vacation, or get letters (Affidavit) from common friends and relative that account relationship between you two.

did you ask uscis if ur case send at all

I did ask them if my case was sent to NVC, but the CSR wouldn't tell me, he didn't have access to my case. I did request to talk to tier 2 officer and was transferred to one, he didn't know that either. He just raised a service request for me and told me to wait for the response of the SR.

Hi everyone. I am here to see real time updates for the NVC document review process. I received an email regarding a NVC case number creation 6 weeks after receiving NOA2. (US citizen, Nigeria consulate.) I didn’t receive any correspondence prior to that even saying that they received my case from USCIS so don’t be alarmed if you don’t receive info about case receipt. You’ll for sure get correspondence regarding case creation. Anyway, I submitted the packet on 12/7/19 and am awaiting an email or something saying I’ve been document qualified :)

How long did it take NVC to approve docs once submitted for those of you who have been doc qualified?

Hi yellowtulips, I was wondering if your case statues was updated to "Case was Transferred to NVC" on USCIS website?  It's been almost 6 weeks that my I-130 petition was approved, neither my case status has changed on the USCIS site nor I have received any correspondence from NVC and USCIS.

    Thanks

    Hey CamChad42, and Everyone,

Our NOA2 is dated Nov26, we will start calling in about 2 weeks - eventhough our lawyer says we should not call, that it is a useless waste of time (we are thinking about not working with him or any lawyer anymore anyway).

My husband and I are noobies here, since we just got our NOA2. Thanks for all your tips and advice and for sharing so generously your personal experiences (good and bad). This is real gold when discovering the process. So thank you 🙏 and I wish - for those who are almost there now -  that you get a good surprise for Christmas or early next year.

    Take care you all, 🤩

    Alix

Hi Alix, Did your case status change on myUSCIS or it says " On____ we approved your" ?

Hi Woolen58 maybe you should try calling the USCIS Office to find out if they sent your case over to nvc, my Dad was approved on November 8 and I call them yesterday the guy said I should wait 60 days to hear something from nvc, but this morning I woke to notification saying my case was sent to nvc, so that’s another month of waiting.

Hi Shanshanjamrock, Thanks for the response! Actually, I have tried calling USCIS several times,  each time I was presented computer generated audio messages. I don't know how to get my call through and talk to a human.

I would read through the I864EZ instructions to make sure you mark off all the requirements to qualify for using the EZ, if you do then yes you should be able to use the EZ

Mine changed to "On ___ we sent your case to Department of State" when it was sent, I would maybe call NVC to see if they received your case if USCIS site hasn't changed

USCIS seems to be very random in updating case status, I will definitely give NVC a call and investigate about my case. Thanks for the response!

Call them straight to see if they received it. I had to call them, they have received it but not a case# has been established. They said to keep checking my email account for the next step. But I’m not waiting for that I will call them to get the case number as well. Just will wait another week. Call them!!! 👍🏽🙋🏾‍♀️🌞 my case was sent on Oct 29th from USCIS, They received it on the 22nd of November at NVC

Thanks for the response! One more thing, did your case status change on the USCIS site? Or still says " Case was approved"? Mine still says " On November 1, 2019, we approved your Form I-130.."

    Thanks,

  8. Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if there is a way  to know if NVC has received my approved petition? My petition was approved on 11/01/2019, yet to receive any correspondence from NVCThere is no further case status update on myUSCIS. I received the NOA2 (approval letter) on November, 6, letter states as folllows " we have sent the petition to the U.S. Department of State National Visa Center (NVC)..."

Thanks for your help & suggestion in advance

    Hi ,

when did the service center sent your approved petition to NVC ? You can see that on my USCIS or USCIS.gov

from the moment they sent it they usually receive it within a week .

if it was sent , best way is to call NVC to have the Info because they will not contact you to tell your they received your petition .

you will hear from them at the time they will create your case number / invoice number .

    i hope it helped

    Have a good day
