  1. I just did a Visa Status Check at this Site

    https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx

I called last night and they told me the NVC received it yesterday. The result from the Search Above says "At NVC" just like heartinKorea stated. The Operator said I would get an EMail and a Letter confirming it. I hope they forward our Packet to the Tokyo Embassy within a week like BnE experienced.

  2. I am a 54 yr old American Male who lives in USA...met a wonderful 42 yr old Filipina on Vacation in January... fell in Love and we want to Marry. Both never married..No Children. She is currently working in Japan for a Multinational Japanese Corporation. I am interested in getting a K-1 Fiance Visa since it is quicker than the CR-1 Marriage Visa. My situation is I have been an unpaid Caregiver for a number of years...first for my Mother until she Died and most recently for a close family friend who passed away recently. I currently live with my Sister. My Sister earns 60 K per year and is willing to be my Co-Sponsor. I do not have a work record for the last 3 years based on my above described situation, but do have a cushion in Savings. I do know a Business Man who could probably Hire me and pay me a Salary above the Poverty Levels required for the visa. I am wondering if I would likely get approved for this Visa since I will only have a short work record before applying for it. I have read that the US Embassy in Japan is more friendly and accommodating in approving Visa's rather than back in her home country of the Philippines due to higher fraud rates. The other option would be to Marry her in Japan when I visit her during her first Vacation Time in early September....but that would mean it would be at least a year and a half until we could be together. I would like some feedback from members here on whether or not we could be granted a K-1 Visa based on the above facts. I highly appreciate any advice and/or experiences. Thanks for your time......
