I thought that they would move the interviews to Rabat since they have the embassy there. But that makes too much sense. By now, you would think that they have the security issues worked out. The backlog will be awful bc this is week 3 that they are closed.
see that would make sense and that would be good for us all, but seeing the benefits of them possibly having a terrorist coming to america is so slim they are probably doing more background checks i dont know what they can be doing for security for when you go trhough there when i was there last june they all but asked me to draw blood and pee in a cup. but you never know now lol. well inchallah next will come and they will open and our hearts will be lifted into the skys again and we will be happy knowing our guys atleast have a slim chance coming to america instead of pondering when or what is going to happen in the next fews days are they gunna open or what???

I finally get to move into my new apartment bc finally they turned my electric on. i got so angry bc they said you need to come to headquarters and bring 2 types of id your lease and i asked them being sarcastic do you need my blood type and to pee in a cup bc struggling with this company has been horrible and made me stay up late nights bc they told me just to flip the switch to get elec. was going to be $200 #######? well all is solved i will be able to paint tomorrow and move in yeah:D:D:D

well it was some guy standing outside the consulate. so that really has nothing to do with it.
i only call him my sexy hubby when i am talking to him. when i am talking about him to other people i say my fiance and Zakaria but not hubby not yet. we arent legally married so i wont say it until we are just when i am talking to him thats all.

so after all this horrible neighbors from hell... i need a vacation!!! not to see my fiance. not to see my family. ALL ALONE.
i've been looking at last minute vacations to somewhere warm, a beach perhaps, and QUIET so i can sleep and not travel around. just a quick 4-5 day trip.
but all the deals seem to be for two people!!!!!!!
does anyone here know of trip deals that can be for a single? anywhere?!! 
how far away are you planning? bc there are deals you might not be aware of in your area. you could do a spa and pamper yourself for 1 day or something like that. you know just as long as you are out not near the stupid french neighbors. try looking local before going too big i understand getting away right now sounds great but i am sure new york has some great local vacation spots out in timbuktu.

Jen- talked to him and he told me that there was some guy outside the consulate who has an office nearby that was charging people to send an e-mail to the consulate asking for a new appointment. He said the guy was charging $3.00 to send the e-mail. Guess the con-men don't realize that they have us and we are already on top of this issue.
ladies i am so sorry that it didnt open today. inchallah next week it will open and they will do what they have been promising us for weeks, like opening or giving our hubbies new information as far as new interview dates. it doesnt feel like to me like they are doing their jobs i dont know about you ladies? bc instead of having them wait and wait they dont notify you at all that it will be canceled even though they say they will. well god bless ladies. i am so sorry. but soon everything will be on the up.

Hubbies???? All of you filed for a K-1, correct? Be careful throwing that word around Natalie. If it happens to be in any of your supporting evidence and you are not married (which you shouldn't be if you filed a K-1), it could throw up a "red flag" to the interviewer and cause your petition to be sent back due to suspicion you are married.
On another topic, I keep checking every day and hoping for all of you that the security situation gets straigntened out and Casa resumes business.

my fiance just tells me this now that he was there at 7 am and they told him to wait and see if they will work he was told this by security guy and wait until 8 am and see if they will work. obviously they didnt accept him in bc we are still waiting hoping and praying. zakaria also told me that they had cars going in front of the embassy when he was there but that was a week ago and they were probably going through a process of upgrading their security systems. but i do hope for your hobies get to have their interviews

as do i bc listening to the phone ring on the other end is annoying at 7 am lol. well God Bless to you whom ever may have a appt tomorrow. I do hope you all get to move on with this stuff with casa closing and all. inchallah we will all hear good news from them about opening. i cant pray hard enough for them to open more.

I believe she meant verse 221 not 121.....but of course this issue is interpreted by many in different ways.....to make things easy on us.......my opinion..... it says in the Quran that he cannot marry a woman unless she is a muslim in The Cow part 121.
Actually, the Qur'an says nothing of the sort -- neither in Surah Baqarah 121 nor anywhere else.
Surah Baqarah 221 refers to "idolators" (alternate spelling: "idolaters") -- meaning pagans, polytheists, etc. It does not prohibit marriage to a "non-Muslim."
And elsewhere, Qur'an makes it quite clear that Muslims are permitted to marry "chaste women" from "People of the Book" (Christians and Jews):
This day (all) the good things are allowed to you; and the food of those who have been given the Book is lawful for you and your food is lawful for them; and the chaste from among the believing women and the chaste from among those who have been given the Book before you (are lawful for you); when you have given them their dowries, taking (them) in marriage, not fornicating nor taking them for paramours in secret; and whoever denies faith, his work indeed is of no account, and in the hereafter he shall be one of the losers.(Surah al-Maeda 5.)
Of course, there are certainly people who would argue the point.
i am sorry i had put the wrong number zakaria told me he was allowed to marry jewish but would never. i have a question for you can you answer me why the muslims hate the Jews so much? bc i read somewhere that one reason as a thought that muhammed was poisioned by a jew and thats why they hate them.

Patiently (sorry I am not sure of your name) and Jen, my heart goes out to you guys and Natalie as well.
It's no one's fault and as we choose to stick by our men from MENA we should ready ourselves for 'things' that will/may come up. We can't foresee them and that certainly does not make it any easier, so I'm sorry this happened.
However, I'll keep praying for the issue to resolve itself quickly.

Did anyone realize Patiently's comment earlier that this thread was meant for the poor folks left out for an interview?Perhaps its better that folks stop sharing so much of their personal information i.e. relationship practices etc to prevent this sort of thing happening.
Everyone (yes everyone) is entitled to comment on any public information posted. So if you don't like what is being said SKIP over it or if it doesn't apply to you why is everyone's panties in a bunch??? Less is sometimes more. I read that briefing a few days ago. Was disappointing and didn't say anything that would make any of us feel better. The only upside for me and mine is that we'll have more recent pictures to give them of my second visit. Leaving May 10.
Was the one that detonated himself running from capture, or was it on purpose right there? Do you think it is good that he didn't plan it well enough to kill anyone else. I read somewhere that it is a good sign that they apparently weren't trained well enough to do more damage, lack funding perhaps. Is it possible that could be the case?
Come ooooonnnnn terrorists! Do something stupid to tip off the police! (something stupid, but not lethal....)

of course he is happy any true muslim man would be happy that hiswife would convert and truely love and respect islam. and as far as wearing the hiijab i wont until i have my first child. bc its respectful to ALLAH and to my husband.
I dont get it... Why wait until AFTER you have a child?? Wouldnt you be respecting your Husband NOW that you are married and converted to cover your hair?
we arent married at all we are engaged still. he is still in morocco waiting for his interview date thats all.

did you ask me by any chance that maybe i am happy with my religion. and by the way i have been learning about islam since i was 15 years old or since 9/11 finding out what i could. i took courses in my highschool for religions and i did love islam. i think its a very highly respectful religion and i found it in my heart to truly love it. not because Zakaria is in my life but i loved it before him i am 21 years old now and trying to prove to women and men here why my religion is respectful i shouldnt have to show you ladies why. it is what it is if you dont believe dont fine if you hate that i say ALLAH instead of god its your right to tell me but dont insult me bc i choose to say ALLAH instead of god, when i talk to my friend i say God or ALLAH bc to me that is his name. In every language around the world you refer to God to ALLAH for islam but when you say christianity God you think Jesus Christ. You know this is my choice to be like this and a true muslim man wouldnt push you into becoming a true muslim, ask them and if you cross a true muslim man it says in the Quran that he cannot marry a woman unless she is a muslim in The Cow part 121. i didnt know this until AFTER i converted and i had no problem with being a muslim. ALLAH is to be respected before the first child you are told to respect him before you are old enough to read and write.

I love Islam its the best religion . i know i have changed but thats what happens when it comes to changing religions from being a hardly going to churcher to praying everyday so much, but i love it.

jen i have the same problem i live in the lower floor of my house right next door to the tv where my dad listens who is half deaf which i might add so sometimes the sound is up to enough to shake the house of the foundation. sometimes i go into my happy place my island where i am laying on a hammock i am wearing a bathing suit and look thin(lol thats funny) and with the cool breeze blowing i am noding off with zakaria by my side as the waves crash in the background and the salty breeze of air comes to cool my skin i nod off and think mmm this is the life. if that doesnt workthen i knock on the wall say excuse me can you be more quiet please? i need some rest and i understand your pathetic life you dont have to work but i do, you can go shout somewhere else or you can pay me the money to get out of the aparment. if need be i will call the cops have them stay on duty and if you make so much as a nother noise i will make sure you azz gets into jail for disturbing the peace.

The calls are being made and the e-mails sent. Calls there and calls here to the DOS. So far, all are to no avail. There is nothing we can do to make them open any quicker than they plan to. This is much bigger than any of us. I'm not sure what kind of security reviews they are doing seeing as how they had tight security to begin with and it was never breached. They are being reactive and sadly, at this point, not much that can be done.
sorry my fiance i think likes to think he is me sometimes but that wasnt me. i know you ladies are all in the same boat as me. i know that we are doing as much as we can for our men, emails calling and impatience is killing us all. unreturned emails are killing me unanswered prayers maybe ALLAH is doing this for a reason? but me i dont want to wait another 6 or more months to touch zakaria again i cant have that. you know i have been trying to contact the embassy its expensive and waste a $1 a min to talk to someone my fiance thinks they annoying the consulate will get us somewhere but i dont think it will. he said they are lazy but i know there has to be something more behind why they are closed so long.you know its not like it was hard for the terrorists to blend in... But going crazy is what everyone is doing. i understand sometimes crying on eachother shoulders is what we can do and all we can do let things takes it course ALLAH is making them wait for something what i dont know but something good inchallah. well must be back to getting ready to leave home getting my new apartment:D:D:D

i think we all need a vacation from this mess. security "problems" visa journey menaces just everything whether you have annoying french neighbors or just miss your man i think we all need a vacation lol. whether it be the carribean or just in our minds lol ( unfortunately thats where mine is going to be). but pick your favorite place go to it whether in your mind think of him or her next to you breath in deep take about 5 mins to open your eyes then when you open think i am not at dish network and this idiot didnt tell me what is a remote DEAR GOD. well in between working 105 hours a week and getting into my new aparment i have been praying all this will go away soon. well hopes are all we have so ladies i hope inchallah that the consulate will open monday and we will all get good news our sweetie pies got their packet they have been promising for the past several weeks. well good luck to us all and God Bless you all.
