  1. On March 11, 2008, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS. Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the requested information. This case will be in suspense until we receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. Once we receive the requested evidence or information and make a decision on the case, you will be notified by mail. If you move while this case is pending, call 1-800-375-5283 to update your address.

this is what it said when i went to check my status on the internet and i am scared what the hell do they mean by more info?? i checked everything 3,000 times before sending from what is said here on the net and also sent more then needed was i supposed to send my hubby as proof come on. besides that we did our biometrics yesterday it took like 20 mins with filing paper work, they were nice people. all guys lol.

  2. my huby and i have been reviewing what we have as proof as us together . first our wedding day we took like 3 pics on our wedding day bc it was a small wedding just his brother us and the imam. next his name will/can't transfer onto our bills. such as electric and comcast. we also have pics of us around the city where i live but not alot. so in other terms right now we are screwed right? we have everything else straight we know how we met and all that other stuff but not hardly enough proof of us together. what should i do? :help::help::unsure:

  3. Hello everyone!

Just wanted you all to know that Ryan was born on 2-26-08 via emergency c-section. He was exaclty 37 weeks. He was in neonatal intensive care until last Saturday night when the doctor finally gave him the ok to come home. He has been doing well all week. He weighed 6 lbs and 6 ounces and was 20 inches long. He has been such a fighter and he is a very happy and content baby now. Please keep him in your prayers as he contniues to recover. He did go to the doctor last Tuesday and he had gained 6 ounces. Now we will have to wait and see what the pediatric cardiologist has to say when we see him. Ryan had a lot of fluid in his lungs due to the c-section and had a very fast and irregular heartbeat. I was leaking fluid and that was what caused the emergency c-section. Labor was induced and as I progressed through labor, Ryan began having a hard time and his heart rate began to drop. The neonatologist was called in during delivery and the neonatology team saw to it the Ryan was well taken care of. He had one of the best neonatologists in the nation, which was an absolute blessing. At one point they thought that he had pneumonia (sp) and that they would have to put a tube down his throat to feed him. He never had the tube put in bc he began eating well. (i started him on breast milk...moms liquid gold) He had an IV for antibiotics and a bunch of other wires connected to him to monitor his breathing, heart rate, temp... Hope everyone else is doing well.

    Mo

congratulations for you . Ryan is in our prayers here and I hope everything will be good soon. I am glad to hear he is eating well bc i know with my nephew who was born prematurely as well didnt eat good. God bless inchallah this will be a great begining for you and your wonderful family. God bless again.

  4. WWHHHOOOHHHOOO we got out NOA1 today. we also got the EAD application approved.:dance:

already have the appointment for biometrics on 3/11 this is moving somewhat fast!!! inchallah it will continue

That's great - I missed reading your update before...you got EAD approved before biometrics?? I thought that always came after the fingerprinting? That's awesome!

actually all it was was the NOA for it thats all. but i am happy lol maybe i wont be too screwed over as I was last year when we did our k-1 visa through morocco we had to wait 2 more months before he had his interview from the day he was supposed to do it. so inchallah everything will be ok and there will be nothing bad happening

  5. husband and i went to our interview today at st. louis, mo. we got there at 8.55am, 35 mins before the interview. we just waited for 15 mins max then my name was called. we followed the IO and make us both swear. she asked for our IDs (gave her my state ID & passport, hubby gave his DL) then started asking if either of us got arrested, basically questions from the form I-485. the only personal question asked was how and where we met. she asked for supporting evidence of our marriage. we brought out our album, my husband's car insurance with my name on it and joint bank accounts. we set it on her table but she didn't even bother to look at it! after reading our file, she made us sign about the conditional permanent residence and that we have to lift conditions 90 days before it expires..

    BUT-

she gave us an RFE. she needs an updated copy of my vaccinations - I-693a (my last hep B shot will be on may) and should be signed by the civil surgeon, fingerprints from the local police dept (apparently,my fingerprints were rejected because the ridges were too miniscule to even register - ugh) and since my mother in law is a joint sponsor, we just sent her birth certificate with the package initially, forgetting that her birth cert was in her maiden name and that everything else (pay stubs, name on the I-864a) was in her married name). suffice it to say, we forgot to send her marriage certificate.

anyways, we'll try to get all of these together. the IO officer said that as soon as these docs are received, i'll be getting the green card..

i'm just glad the hard part's done... what a relief..

congrats on the good news at least its something small and not to big i believe so just chin up and keep rocking

  6. sorry i think i didn't make myself clear so you guys can understand what i'm talking about, my problem right now is me and my hubby and his brother want to move to an other apartment and whenever we went to get the paper works from the rent office they said that they need to do a background cheack on the three of us so we can get that apartment the problem is we just sent the AOS last week and my husband's SSN is expired , i just wanna know is the apartment rent office can still use his SSN to do backgroung cheack about him or we need to wait until he will recieve his EAD and the SS ???

sorry about not makeing my self clear in the 1st place.

    thanks

  7. Move, file AR-11, and I-865 to update USCIS on new adress, and then follow up by calling USCIS and updating address, and call again to confirm address changed on the I-485 case.

Several have reported having AOS interview letter lost in the mail, and then missing the interview, and then having to deal with the deportation proceeding for missing the interview.

Moving while I-485, or I-751 are pending can be hazardous.

well the thing is that we are moving with his brother and it will be 3 of us well we all have to do an application. can we still use his social sec. for the application even though it was just for work?

Not following you, whose SSN? SSN by itself is not work auth, you need Citizenship, green-card or EAD to work.

Anytime an alien and their sponsors move they are required by law to report this to USCIS by filing AR-11 and sponsors file I-865, this is the law.

i am not talking about that at all bc i know about that and the forms are ready but i am having a problem with i dont know why it might be a problem if we use his soc.? bc they told me to wait all they do is a background check and credit check. will his social be valid even all we did was a k-1 visa and it has expired. thats all i want to know is can i use his social security number for a valid credit check and background check?

i did a change of address when i was doing the K-1 visa. we were at the end of it though not the begining and they had no problem changing my address but it is a different process.

  10. Hoping someone can help me here because i do not see an example for it .. but on the i-129f forms the question of describe the circumstanses of meeting in person... how much info should i include in that .. we have been together 3 times and have pictures plane tickets and hotel reciepts .. but do i just sum it up and say flew to USA stayed 2 weeks together in hotel or do i need to get more detailed into howwe met and what brought us to meet in person ? any help would be very appreciated thanks in advance

all i put is how we met like i flew to him after talking to him on the internet for so long.

  11. My hubby and I are moving to another apartment they need to a do background check on him. well we are in the crack between K-1 and AOS. we sent our papers about a week ago. they told me that if his ss doesnt work then we have to wait longer to get into the apartment but the problem is that this is the perfect apartment for us. what should i do about this? bc we cant even reserve it unless they do the paper work for it. thank you for your help

  12. I am a bit confused, but a person who enters the country as a K-Visa holder is by definition "UN-Employed" K-3 is not work authorized, and K-1 is Authorized only 90 days.

    NON-Immigrants CANNOT draw un-employment.

The K-Visa holder is the one applying to adjust status, NOT the US Citizen. The US citizen only provides I-864 affidavit of support.

i am the one that is currently unemployed.

  13. hello to all,

i just want to ask everyone. we just got our NOA1. we try to check our receipt# WAC******** online.

It says CASE RECEIVED AND PENDING.

    "

What does this means, pending as in "in process just wait" or pending as in literally pending.

    THanks to all replies...

pending is what is means to wait it means also you have to be patient with us we take forever too in their terms.

    natalie
