Hellooooooooooo to my dear March Whiners - from Virginia!

So now I finally came back and found our thread closed! We made the server kneel - heck yeah, that rocks!

Sooooo I noticed I got searched - here I am!

I had to manage the clearing of my place and had sold my iMac beginning September, so I wasn't really online anymore, since I hate doing stuff like this here on the iPhone.

Long story short - I made it!

The goodbyes at home were harder than expected, many tears with my (former) coworkers, my mom and my closest friends. I"ve spent my last nights in Germany in my favorite city on this planet - beloved Hamburg - and flew out from there. My POE was last Friday at Boston Logan Airport.

The Immigration in Boston was a little awkward. Seems like the IO are all more grumpy the later it gets. I had to wait long at the Immi, then got escorted to the obligatory Secondary and sat there waiting again for a felt eternity. It was just weird. I wasn't nervous, but it just felt awkward to sit and wait so long (felt long at least).
But in the end it turned out good, and after about an hour I could collect my luggage and leave with my passport.

It kind of irritated me that the officer just doodled with a ball pen on this sticker we all have worked and waited for sooooo long and now it's useless

Yeah, well! As you can tell:
Scott has really came to Richmond/VA to pick me up, haha! The iron rake from Germany has arrived and is very happy to be united with my perfect match.
Daily routine has already caught up. He had to work again on Monday already, works 15pm to 1am, so I'm home with the cats and trying to make a home out of this bachelors household.
To be honest - I haven't left the house without him yet. Everything is so far away; no walking distances, and I don't have a car yet. But that's fine for now. The crazy man got me a very new and shiny MacBook for my birthday, so I'm back online trying to catch up!

For the "formal" part: We'll go for my SSN tomorrow, he added me to his cell phone plan today, so I got my US simcard. His leave got confirmed for the last week of October/first week of November, so we will probably head out to his family in Utah in the middle of that time and make a road trip to Vegas to get married!

    And last but not least:
Not a crazy POE pic, but a selfie right after we hugged hello! I'll keep this pic forever, because it's not only a selfie - it's the arrival after the biggest journey of my life so far! <3

To all on here that still know me, to those who don't: Good luck for all of you, congratulations to all approvals and progresses! It's so great to have the back of this community - and of course especially the Anonymous March Whiners, which I'm a proud part of!

Hey Marchers, checking in with an update. Had my embassy interview this morning and I am VISA APPROVED!!!!!

So glad to finally have all this paperwork-worry behind me! At least until AOS rolls around but it’s a welcomed break so I can finally focus on wedding planning and the actual move.

So my appointment was at 9:30am and I got there 20 minutes beforehand and the security couldn’t find my name for a while. Made me wish I had showed up a little earlier. Anyway, turns out, my name was on a different list; the “immigrant visa” list as opposed to “non-immi”. After that everything went pretty smooth. Interview was super quick. They took the basic paperwork from me (police cert, birth cert, i134 and latest year taxes) but that was it. No relationship evidence needed or requested, probably because we front-loaded the ####### out of the petition. Maybe 4 or 5 basic-ish questions were asked (home address, wedding plans....) and I was done! All I heard was approved and marriage well wishes then I was out the door. Passport with visa and packet will be available on Thursday for pick up so it’s a quick turnaround.

Want to send a big thanks to everyone here for all the help. Even just reading everyone’s experiences along the way was a huge help. I had planned to use a lawyer in the beginning but changed my mind quick when I discovered VJ. That proved to be the best decision I could’ve made. It saved me a ton and the knowledge I’ve gained has been invaluable.....not to mention all the great ppl I’ve encountered on here along the way! Prayers and best of luck to everyone still on their journey!

My Medical went great. About 2 hours. Lots of that spent waiting. After that Mum and I walked around and checked out where I go for my interview. We are now back at our Airbnb apartment. Getting up at 5:30am our old time two days in a row is taxing lol but now we can sleep in some since I don’t have to do anything until my interview on the 11th. Good luck to my fellow Canadians who interview tomorrow.

    good luck to all

So our case managed to get out of the NVC on Friday and today ceac status shows "Ready".
Awaiting for a call/email from the embassy to proceed with ds160 registration and interview booking.  Medical done two weeks ago. A bit confused cause when I gave case number at the medical it was without two digits and KEV letters in the end that appeared today after case was received by the embassy. Hope it won't be an issue.
Thank you everyone for your support. You are an awesome people and I wish all the best with your loved ones!

I really REALLY need in person instead of pixels and 0's and 1's

Yeah, I felt bad for @TearsOfBabylon who couldn't get to everyone to say goodbye and then they was showing up in the train station to see her off.   It's sooooo hard to lift up a life in one side of the globe and move it to another side.  She's gonna be sorely missed in Germany - just like you are going to be missed in Ukraine.  Kinda cool for the US......... We get some awesome people out of the deal!

SSN kannst du direkt ein paar Tage nach deiner Ankunt in den USA beantragen. Du musst nur deinen Pass und dien I-94 vorzeigen. Du solltest es also machen, bevor dein I-94 ablaeuft. Ansonsten musst du naemlich warten, bis dien AOS durch ist

I hope you're doing fine! Getting ready already?

Yeah, it was insane... on my last day I walked into work and started crying already because some of my workers stood there waiting with gifts and stuff. The goodbye was bad! I've had to hug goodbye sooo many people!
And when I left for Hamburg at 4:30 in the morning one of my closest friends drove me to the train station, and all of a sudden 2 other friends came on the parking, even had their baby with them... more crying!
I'm glad the goodbyes are over for now!

TearsOfBabylon got a reaction from June2017UK in I-129F March 2017 Filers #2 Cause we are awesome
