Be careful with wow airlines. Fares are cheaper but u pay for everything extra. Suitcase, carry on no entertainment on board what so ever, no meals, you don't even get water. I remember flying from Iceland to Boston (already after transfer) with my phone dead , nothing to read, staring out the window for 5 hours.

Also, check out WOW Airlines.. they are based out of Iceland and they seem to have fairly cheaper than normal fares. Anyone coming from Europe should really check out these sites. I did notice though, that the first link I gave was still a tad cheaper. You could always check out from your city to your destination city and it could be even cheaper maybe?  worth a shot!
Here is that first link again with the To: and From: cleared lol https://www.vola.ro/ that way you can put in your own =)

this is the website  lol  https://www.vola.ro/flight_search/from/Bucuresti/to/Los Angeles/from_code/BUH/to_code/LAX/dd/2017-10-18/rd/2017-11-23/ad/1/ow/1
But, so you know, it is in Romanian and I don't think it has a translator... I just used a google translator for stuff I was unsure of and the rest seems pretty easy to figure out what its talking about =)

Well, it's not as if the processing time depends on your fiance. How can one promise anything when it comes to the government?
Noone enjoys the waiting game, I'm sure. Long distance is tough, and long watching the USCIS pot that has a random pattern for boiling is no fun either.
If your relationship is worth all the pain, you'll find strength and patience needed for the process.

Yay!  Day 49 here......so exciting to see January and February filers getting approved......every day is one day closer!!! The only thing that keeps me sane! We all continue to wait..........good luck!

I'm really frustrated to see that they are only halfway through January which means they are falling even further behind.   I had genuinely hoped they'd get their butts in gear after the swarm of December files

From what I've scanned there's over 3k cases for March that were received.

Good morning from Germany, to the Anonymous Whiners!

    @CubaAndChill THANK YOU!

    For the ticket thing...
I can understand being tempted, so am I.
I don't know if I'd get a ticket though. The USCIS tells to not cancel anything like job or apartment before the visa is issued. And that for reasons. Not wanting to be the party pooper either, but... I don't know if it's not better to wait, since no one can know what will happen. Hmmmm... good question.

I keep thinking about when to quit my apartment, since I want to move asap after visa in passport. But on the other hand I will only cancel job and apartment once I have my passport back, but I have 3 months cancelling limit, if I'm not wrong.
    Very tempting too.

    Good evening Anonymous Whiners!

I have all the scans done and I've included received dates with 04/03. So up to WAC1790274549. I'll start the weekly scans on 5/1 and will do it every Monday until they start touching March cases. Once they start touching march cases consistently then I'll post daily.

Thanks everyone for your patience and we're almost there!!!

AP is Administrative Processing and can happen after the interview. The reason can be an array of things, but most of the time I've read that people have been put into AP for background checks, or just for reviewing the case before they issue the visa and it can take 1 week, 1 month, or more than a year. When dealing with the government, you can really never expect anything. I'm taking a expect the worse and pray for the best type of approach even though our case should be one of the easy ones. You just never know what can happen.

I just read a post from someone who has a fiance in Cuba. They've been engaged for 5 years, have a mountain of evidence and got denied at the interview because they didn't show a "bonafide relationship." I know she's devastated as anyone would be, but just goes to show you. Never make permanent plans with everything so up in the air and in the hands of a stranger that if they have a bad day or have a hair up their @(*3 they can deny you without any recourse or reason really.

But that's just my opinion, I don't mean to be a debbie downer and of course it's ultimately up to you and your fiance.

    Hi Holly,
Looking at your timeline your NOA2 is around mid July (hopefully earlier) then to send the petition to NVC & then to the embassy can take another 4 to 6 weeks and then maybe another month or so for the interview. If everything goes accordingly it could be cutting it close.

That's ultimately a personal decision, but there's been a lot of posts on here that couples have bought their ticket beforehand and then had to miss or cancel/change their flight because they were put into AP or things didn't go as planned.

If I wasn't totally free of talent! But I'm a very talented clapper lol

Nah, it will be fine. I have thought about it, Scott knows about it (and he also likes my people), and I have made my decision with all consequences. So I will stick to it and make the best out of it!
And for the bigger tour legs I'll just fly in and join the Happy Metal travel group!

Everytime he whines about me going to eat all his food and his free time being lost in the future I blame him for screwing up my life plan. I was planning on moving to Hamburg before we got together.

So it's a win/win. We both screwed each others plans.... and I love we did!

Good morning March Filers or afternoon or evening wherever you are.  I am feeling pretty good today. Gotta head out in a half hour to help my Mum get the newspaper out since its mailing day but that takes 2 hours and then we all go out for lunch. Its a weekly newspaper thats been in my family for over 100 years. Not my cup of tea but I help out on mailing day. My sister and her hubby are taking it over from my Mum when she finally retires in like 10 years. lol

Feeling pretty good today. Just gotta let my brother-in-law know I am taking vacation from July 14th-23rd and that I can not work at the golf course those days. I am heading down to visit Chris then and I am sooooo excited.  I miss him so so much. I also booked off a weekend in August but that is for my other job as we go on a weekend book buying trip to the city. Kinda sad it will be my last book buying trip with my co-workers.

Hope you all have a super day!

Chin up, fellow! And keep your head up high!

Let the morons talk... it's only a short time until he's with you, and you don't have to deal with certain people anymore.

I would also not add those on Facebook. It's all none of their business.

I'm broke as hell as well, but still trying to pay for most of my stuff myself.
Here people are very anti American.
You have no clue how many of this "politics managers" have felt the need to tell me their opinion about DT after the election, just because they know my fiance is USC.

    It's so annoying....

YOU know what you have together, so live it and show them a middle finger with a smile on your face! Hugs from potatoland!

Well, for the interview you are supposed to bring proof of ongoing relationship, that it would be the time frame between when you sent the i129F petition and the interview date... Because supposedly you already sent proof of relationship with the aforementioned petition.

Oh for pete sake they are just jealous because they wish they had the love you two have. Honestly I think that people like that are missing something in their lives. I also hate how much people judge. It drives me bonkers.  Like last night my Mum and I were talking and she assumed that Chris was paying for all my stuff like my medical and stuff. I said um no mum I have been painstakingly saving from every paycheque so that I could pay that myself. I hate that I will have to rely on him for 3-4 months before I can work. I HATE THAT. Soooo I got the second job so that I could save up as much as I could to pay for stuff myself while waiting to work. Like my damn canadian cell phone thats still on contract until 2019 and my credit card which I will have down to almost nothing by then so I can close it out and work on getting an american one. I just wish that our dollar was better bah for like 100 canadian dollars I can get 75 american dollars. BAH lol

    I totally understand your point!
For him it would be more complicated to come here as well, since he doesn't speak much German. Actually just fragments.

On the other hand, I am gonna leave a lot...

I'm in my company for 10 years now, being assistant of plant manager/human resources agent, and responsible for production staff.
I am aware, my carreer is over by the time I leave my company and step on a plane. I won't be able to have this job again, but it's ok.
Being a future milspouse I'll have to move anyways, so I'm fine with that, and I got used to the thought of retail or whatever.
Scott said, a part time job would be enough, so I'll see where it leads to.

My social life is a different thing... that will be a hard one.
Not for him. He's in the military for 12 years now, constantly moving and deploying all over the planet, used to being away from family and friends.

I'm far away from most of my friends as well, but.... I'm very active in concerts, so my circle of people is spread out all over Germany and the Netherlands.
Less than two concerts a month are bad for health
So I am out A LOT, touring (mostly "with" my favorite band, who I'm friends with and who are from my area), meeting crazy people all the time.
I will miss that... I was at tv productions, video shoots, so many concerts, got to know so many people, who I love to meet here and there and everywhere.
I dragged Scott with me as well, while he was here and he did enjoy it, too.
The music thing will be a big hole in my life, once I'm gone. I was very fortunate to experience so many exciting adventures in the past years.
This will not be replaceable with anything in the US. There will be new stuff to do, but my life here is priceless - in that case.

So I'm well used to be far away from friends and family, and only have online contact, but there will be no more gathering in the next time, and that's hard.
Of course the reason to leave is more than worth it, but still I would lie if I'd say it's no big deal for me.

I've developed my lifestyle in the past years, after I lived like an alien for the most part of my life.
I absolutely don't need to start over - I only want to.
    That's my thoughts!

    Hey Whiners!

I was asking another girl from my area, who just moved to the states after k-1.
Because I was seriously concerned about the fact that we don't see us during the process.
She said, she did not add any evidence of ongoing relationship; they just made the letter of intent new.
She further said it's probably a little "easier" since our both fiances are in the military, and they kind of understand that visiting is difficult. She didn't see her fiance either.
So I'm a little relieved. I will still screenshot the call logs from Facetime and add maybe 4 different screenshots of us on cam, but I'll keep it with this.
Maybe the military fact of him having a hard time getting leave will be helpful at least in this case.
And.. it's true. Since he really didn't get any leave for visiting in April and won't get any in summer... sighs.

    But good news:

    IT'S ALMOST MAY!!!!!
