if he  has done the 2017 taxes all he needs to do is take his ID and ss card and walk into any SS office
he has to wait his turn to see a IRS officer but he can get a printed transcript same day

its super easy to sign up at IRS.GOV to get an online copy of the tax transcripts for 2017, provided they were actually completed. 
 
sometimes things get forgotten *raising my hand* I just completed 2015 this year, so I am not judging anyone at all.

Hi @ASMS thank you, I should have been clearer, my apologies. What I meant was, once you know your Service Centre as per NOA1, how do you track how fast/slow they're processing cases at that particular centre? I've heard USCIS publishes statistics but they aren't always accurate. So just wondering...

Im currently due to give birth to our first baby in two weeks and I'm constantly petrified that he won't make it here in time. Our Priority date was 24 April 2017. We haven't received anything via text or email but received our Approval Letter by mail on Friday 10 November and its dated 3 November.

I've been feeling so dejected as it was taking so long and the hopelessness of refreshing the USCIS page a million times a day was getting to me. Thank God for progress!!!
