Thanks. I have been trying to get my packet 4 for a month now and they won't resend it and keep telling me to wait 5-10 days and then the lady I spoke to today said we can show up for the interview without it. Our interview is in 3 weeks and i'm stressing about getting the letter.

Can you go to the interview in Montreal without your interview letter?

Yeah i tried too since i still don't have the interview letter. I guess I try again Monday

Well i called Montreal today and my interview letter is being processed today and will be mailed by Thrus or Fri. It was never mailed on the 21st. I spoke to a very helpful person (rare at Montreal) and he explained that yes the interview was scheduled for 5/22 but they don't send the letter out that quickly sooooo it is supposed to be on its way by the end of this week. I guess we will see.....

Well i'm a little concerned. We got the email on the 22nd of March saying our interview letter was on the way and the date was May 22nd. Well what we got in the mail was the Adam Walsh all clear letter over again. Now i'm wondering if they sent the wrong letter or even if we have an interview. Now I have to wait all the way until Tuesday to see what is up Montreal's rear now. Geez how hard is it to send a letter?

You can download all applications from there or they will mail them to you. It is a little easier to understand than US Immigration. It is more expensive takes less time but they do have an In-Canada process so at least you can be with your spouse. I immigrated and became a PR of Canada in 2004. My interview is May 22nd per Montreal's interview today.

Matt I would call Montreal and ask them about the letter. That is what I did and they told me the day they mailed it and I received the letter a couple of days ago. They wanted to know how I knew about the letter and I told them that I talk to other people going through the same thing and then they told me the date. I was worried too since my letter came later than others but I would call them.

Yeah i did...LOL...took me a bit to think of that hopefully they will e-mail it back to me. I'm just happy to know there is a date.

Nope i'm in Winnipeg but had to go to Calgary to do the DCF. More like 12 days for mail here.....LOL. I'm excited and scared all at the same time.....its like this day would never get here!!! I will let you know the date as soon as I get that letter!

Great News!!!!!!

I got an e-mail from Montral today saying they mailed my interview letter yesterday!!!! The only crappy thing is they didn't give me the damn date! Darryl and Colin you are going to get yours soon if I got mine coming!!!!! OMG i'm so releived!

Please put me back on the list for waiting for interview. I have been cleared by the Adam Walsh ####### and just waiting again for my interview. I called Montreal today and they told me I will have one by May so here is to more waiting.....

Ok called Montreal today. Glad to find out they mailed my letter for Adam Walsh clearing on the 9th but i still haven't gotten it.....

I also asked about my interview and they said we will have one by May. So a couple more months I suppose but at least it was an answer

Has everyone received a letter saying they are clear? Just wondering because we have not I only have the e-mail I got back from Montreal saying we are clear but it makes me wonder when I didn't get a letter.

Yes we have been waiting since the beginning of October for our interview. I was really hoping they would give us Adam Walsh people a quick interview it is 12 weeks to our interview it will be 9 months from the time of filing. Very depressing

This was my response from Montreal today by e-mail

Yes, we have received our OK to continue processing all cases that were affected by this; your case is now awaiting scheduling, once done, we will send you an appointment letter.

Great news that things are moving. I'm going to e-mail Montreal tomorrow and see if i'm getting a letter too....

I emailed Montreal today and this is what i got back

All of our cases that are affected by this new law are currently being processed by the USCIS, as soon as all is clear, we will then be able to book an interview for your husband. Unfortunately, we have no idea how long this will take.

Don't know if this is good or bad but it sounds like to me that they have been sent to USCIS but then who knows

I have not received any word as of yet and my last e-mail was ignored by Montreal. All we can hope is for something soon.

I too am in the same boat. Filed I-130 in Calgary in September and have been waiting for an interview for my husband. I haven't even received a letter from Montreal saying anything has happened. I e-mailed them and got we have no instructions as of yet and sorry for the inconvience. Hopefully one of us will hear something soon.

That is what i gather that the security checks have to be done...which i have no problems with. If they do the checks and send us back great. If we have to "start over" that is bad. Yes my DS-230 is sent in but you don't pay for the visa until the day of your interview...a little different...just like the I-864 has not been done yet it goes with you the interview etc. I'm hoping Montreal will be able to tell me something more...if this is going to take 3-4 months okay fine i will deal but if it takes a year....well geez i don't know what i will do then.

I know there is a lot more people worse off than myself but this was quite the shock to say the least
