Hi All,
Received approval letter today in the mail !!
NOA 09/22/16. Like others have said - no updates on USCIS site for case status yet.
Can't wait to actually receive the card.
Congrats! must be such a relief!! Enjoy your day!
Good luck to us, who are still waiting.. sigh : /

Yes, I got my stamp in July and my extension expired in Oct. From what I heard, it's a game of luck but I think the officer should get used to it by now because there is no way CSC will process our card under a year now. Good luck!
Yea, that's true.. sadly.. Hopefully not more than a whole year..
Fingers crossed!
Cheers!

We got the stamp one month before the letter expire but my friend had to travel for two months to her country and she went to infopass app with her fly ticket two months and half before her letter expire and explained to officer that has to travel and they stamped her passport. Just in case it help you😊
Cool, I'll have my flight tickets with me at the Infopass appointment! Thanks for the quick reply!
Cheers!

Sigh. I'm feeling super impatient. The timing sucks for me to apply for naturalization, so I'd like to get my 10 year green card. Time to stalk the info pass to get an appointment on one of my rare weekdays off so I can get a passport stamp.
Glad some folks are getting through this process.
It's all about patience guys! If anything, going through this whole journey teaches you how to become patient =)
Hang in there! sooner or later, eventually everyone will get approved or denied.
Cheers!

Glad to see VSC is speeding up a little bit, processing September filers by now! Is that right?
You never know.. Some June and July filers are still waiting to be processed.. very few Sept filers have been processed though.. Who knows how they're processing all these cases??!!! There's no fixed time frame for their processing process!
Cheers!

This is exactly why I went there. My extension was expiring in the beginning of September. But you may want to wait till November to go for Infopass. At least don't go too early because they may turn you away. I'd say not until after the beginning of October.
I'm on the same boat. I'm planning on traveling over the Holiday break and my extension letter expires on Dec 7th. And I wanna apply to get the visa now in advance so what should I do in this case?? Does USCIS turn people away when applying for Infopass 3 months before their extension letter expiration date? Is there such a thing?? Did anyone apply for infopass 3 months before their extension letter expiration date?
Thanks for the support!

I think you meant June filers but let me try to explain. There are about 15000 I-751 filers per month, probably 9000 of that are CSC filers. These numbers don't change much from month to month or year to year. I wish there were much more than 80 postings each month but 40-50 seems typical. Note; first, not everyone knows VJ, then there are people who know VJ but prefer to be lurkers, then there are active participants. Long delays definitely motivate people joining VJ later on, looks like they had 40 entries in April, then close to 60 entries by the end of May, since CSC has not progressed much, 20 more people showed up with frustration and anger. Totally understandable.
Dude, this is so true!!!

I love your optimism sir!! I had a bit of that, about 6 months ago! Aha.
I'm a mid June filer and I'm still waiting. Hey ho. Good luck to you!
CSC is on a whole different planet, let alone a different level - We shall see how it unfolds. I remember when VSC was the bad boy, going slow, lagging way behind CSC. Maybe they moved staff from one to the other, and the balance tilted dramatically the other way. Who knows how they run these places.
I hope they get a sudden surge and start clearing their backlog soon! Good luck!
HAHAHAHAHAHA that's hilarious
I love how you framed it "Who knows how they run these places" It's so good!! hahahaha
Guys, on a different tangent, game of thrones episode 4 WAS PRETTY DAMN EPIC I have to say!!!! Anyone following the show??! =)
My fav character is Tyrion

You think?
What makes you think they are going to drop the second half of June, most of July and August and start pumping out September approvals this month?
I only mention because half of June CSC have yet to be approved and most of July.
Realistically I think September 2016 should be looking at November earliest for approvals. Sad - but probably true.
I agree! I mean it'd be amazing to have our cases approved but what about June and July and august filers?? LoL
Does this mean that they were looking into up to June 15th filers and now all of a sudden they're looking into July, August and September filers at the same time? weird?!!!?!
I hope we all get approved asap but I'm still setting November as min bar for approvals. It's just me, I always take the ultimate scenario..
-
Given the pace they're processing I-751 cases, it looks like we might see approvals of Sept filers by the end of Nov or mid Dec.. : /

I am also quite sure that the one in charge of CSC is Cersei.
Oh nooooo. If Cersei is in charge, we're screwed..

Anyone can be interrogated at the US border, including a USC.
Of course everyone can be interrogate at US border. But if you're British, the officer will treat you way nicer than if you were Syrian! Of course, only the ones who are struggling know about such unfair and messed up situations.. I don't blame you

Wooow, that's what I am saying. Are we, green card holders, doomed to get interrogated even with 10 year GC all the time? That's a big minus of having GC vs citizenship.
Exactly!

LOL. I'd better send them Daenerys Targaryen and her dragons. You know what I mean, right?
Hahaha
But dragons might go out of control and burn all our documents so... But as long as Kalesi controls them, I think that'd be pretty epic!

That's how it would be if they processed cases with the formula 1 month = 1 month. But it takes them one month to process cases filed within 1 week. SO it's slowing down dramatically. Sigh.
We should send Jon Snow or Tyreon Lannister to them to seal a deal and make them expedite I-751 cases!

I think September cases will begin processing by next month - August.
I hope soooo.. That'd be the ultimate best case scenario! fingers crossed!

I took a look in the August thread and few people from VSC have been approved. Hope they start September soon.
Yea, I'd be so happy if they start processing Sept in Oct!

No. He said, if they need more info from me, they will call us for an interview. But the way he was shocked when he looked at his computer, we are not getting approvals anytime soon. He saw 2016 on my i 751 notice letter and was really surprised.
I am afraid that sounds pretty much what will happen.. I'm September 2106 filer and still no updates on the case.. Judging by the slow process and the delays, it sounds optimistic if we heard back around December!

I disagree, it makes sense. If there was a huge bunch of I-130 approved back in 2014 for a short period of time because they had been pending for 15 months before that, then it's very logical that 2 years after all the same people file I-751 creating long queue. Also it seems reasonable that CSC may be struggling excessive workload due to the cases transferred from other service centers. This version is supported by the fact that VCS I-751 processing times now have equalized and are both around 12 months while CSC used to take 6 months to process I-751 and VSC was always 1 year. Now the are both 1 year.
Yea, that's true

At least your case isn't at CSC!
But I agree with you on how and what order they process the cases.. it's interesting
