Question to those of you who got RFE/RFIE -
How long after receiving NOA did you gor RFE/RFIE?
I know there's no "standard" wait time for it, but I'm trying to figure out when would be the best time to call and ask about the status of my EAD expedition.
Thanks!Hey. Ours RFIE was 8 days after NOA1

Hi.. Yesterday I received the RFIE.. They wanted a proof of why I didn't file taxes before..
Today I got the biometric schedule letter, to be done on 04_21_2017
Good luck everyone
Congrats! Same date for biometrics here :). After receiving RFIE. Is that mean our cases are still going, they didn't stop them? Or return to the zero.

Hi, @IkaStuart and @Soft
I am not so sure though if you will need it too because I saw one post from one member here that if you used the old I-130 form, you will NOT need the I-130A but if you used the new I-130 (7/31/2018) then you need it, however, I cannot confirm this ruling so maybe we'll just see if they will send you an RFIE or not.
I recieved today in mail. It just one detail in I-864A. We didn't miss anything just we put not complete info.

The old I-130 form is still valid until the 28th of this month. All the filing information are on the same page where you download the form
I saw yesterday yes. Oooh well, today RFIE should arrive so we will see what we need. I hope it will not be a long list.

Hi Soft, it was the new supplemental form for I-130 which is the I-130A. My lawyer was not aware of it when USCIS began implementing it last week of February. My i-130/AOS packet was sent first week of March.
I really hope that this is the last RFE we get.Omg! Really?? We also sent old I-130. Oooooooh. And I tried to see what is that new form but I couldn't find on google anything about that. Still waiting our mailed RFIE list. Hope that would be all that they want from us. Thank you so much for the information.

That is Request for INITIAL Evidence, which is different than Request for Evidence.
But what are the initial evidences? Maybe Birth Certificate Translation? We did send but maybe it is not good. :'(

Update on our case. I just saw it is written 》Request for Initial Evidence Was Mailed《.
That is RFE right?
Sooo stuppid!!

Biometrics appointment date in the mail or your NOAs? I recieved mailed NOAs on 25th. After online notice from 21st. They recieved package on 13th.

Hey guys. Congrats everyone on the progress. Just hold on!
I have a question. How long after they receive fingerprint fee do we get biometric appointment date? In my case status it says they recieve that on March 20.
-
Guys...I can check mine too. They received them on 03/13. I got emails on 03/22. Still waiting mailed NOA1.

It'll take a little bit. They received my case on the 27th of February and only today I was able to check my cases online.
Thank you

I got my case numbers in the emails but when I go to USCIS site to check, it says they cannot recognize the numbers. That means I am still not in the system or something is wrong?

Yes, I will be really thankful with the NO1, so I can get a drivers license to start interacting with others and doing things by myself. Now I'm stuck in the house. Hope they touch/notice our packets this week.
NOA1 is enough for drivers license?

Some applications get approved without an interview. It's what happened to me. I received a letter from USCIS saying I was a potential case for approval with no interview and that's exactly what happened.
Vou. Congratulations. I didn't know that is even possible. Sounds sooo perfect.

Hey Everyone!
I posted my AOS package and it arrived at the lockbox on the 13th (it arrived at around 8pm) so maybe received on the 14th?
Anyway, I have found it really useful to know that from this forum there has been a backlog as I've been getting a little frantic with checking my texts, emails and if my check had been cashed!I'm hoping to hear back from the USCIS soon but I'm really happy to see that most people are getting NOA1s and biometric appointments.
We are the same date :). Mine got there on 13th as well. Did you receive emails? I just did.

ok, i just got the e-mail. but i only got one e-mail. I sent i-485 and i-765. Don't i need to get 2 e-mails? Do you think they got all applications? because i want to work. how can i be sure? Form I-797
It says Form I-797, is that right for both of it? now i am worried.
Hey..Don't worry. Just be patient. I received only one at first but after a while I got three more emails.

Don't forget though that some applications never make it to the field office and are processed and approved centrally. Mine was like that - we received a notice of potential interview waiver and within a few months the greencard was in the mail.
What is exactly interview waiver?:)
-
I just received email "USCIS Acceptance Confirmation" after 8 days. Packet arrived there on March 13, 2017. What that means exactly? From now on they are checking everything? I hope there will be none but, if there is RFE that will arrive before the date for biometric appointment right?

It also depends on how busy your local office is. Sometimes it takes longer than a month.
You can check the average number of days by local office here http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/aosstats.php
How come there is no Delaware office on the list? Is that mean nobody applied there?
-
Hey guys. Thank you so much for your replies :). After I saw your timelines I am much more calm. Did anybody send papers on 03/10/17 maybe? They receive them on 03/13/17.

You can either translate the birth certificate in full and add a letter saying you speak both languages fluently or get one done at rev.com. I used the web site after receiving an RFE, since I stupidly only translated part of it. This was back in 2014 BUT after I sent them a copy I received from that web site, they did not give me any issues and my GC was approved a few months after that. I don't think things changed since then.I think I saw you wrote that somewhere. Anyway..What is the meaning of > part of it< ? I translated the first page (second page is just translation). Anyway. I will send them original, highlighted copy and translated copy with certification of my friend so they can chose :D. What do you think about that?

I used that for both my AOS and K1 visa and had no issues whatsoever. What I did was alongside the original I sent in a photocopy of both sides (2 pages) and on the second page I used a highlighter on the English terms. Also mentioned it in the cover letter (Applicant's Birth Certificate and Photocopy highlighting the English terms). No RFEs. I'm now using the same technique for the K2 AOS I'll be sending out next week.
Did you send two originals+copies (one for I-130 one for I-485)?

Guys, I need help, please.
We don't know exactly what they are asking as to send as an RFIE. How to reach someone and ask in person about the info? Where?Do you have any number? That info number from USCIS is stuppid. Only machine. Our case is processed by National Benefit Center.
